Excessive site fees

And the sad part is, he would still pay it, as he's too timid to try anywhere else.
once again you attack the poster, rather than a reasoned arguement, no wonder you get reported so much and your posts removed

Agree, it all depends on attitude.

Depends on if you consider the riff raff to be the hoi polloi, I quiet like the hoi polloi, I consider myself amongst them! They, however, may not agree with me!

Anyway, back to the subject of "excessive" site fees.
I'm still catching up on a lot of threads following a week away and Thursday's excitement!
But I'm quite amused (or maybe bemused) to read that 3 of the biggest critics of CC site fees off peak have been staying on.... err.... CC sites off peak!
Great thing, choice, eh fellas!?

I think some of the cc knockers do not seem to understand that probably the majority ,of who they seem to think are cc "luvies"have as most cc members tried, "other" camp sites but. tend to to use a style of site that also seems to sell hundreds of thousands
of pitch nights per year0 -

Mousley -pick and mix I call it, or open minded.
Couldn't agree more, F. It's all down to personal choice. Personally, we've spent a grand total of 6 nights on CC sites so far this year, which I reckon is probably a darn sight less than some of those who are so quick to criticise the club prices and spout
comments like "the club will continue to raise prices while people will pay whateever it takes to use them"!. And then proceed to pay exactly those alleged excessive prices!0 -
Im all for personal choice. I first decide which area I want to tour, then I look at the available camping sites available in that area. As my first choice I will choose a CL or CS, next choice will be a Cc or C&CC site ,,,next would be a private site.
My choice would not be based on price alone but on the location of the camping site.

....ah, the 'inclusivity' of the CC.....
the 'class system' is alive and well.....and living in 'a caravan near you'......

... sorry I forgot that to post on here for some members to understand it has to be made "simple"

thanks, JVB, sounds like 'simple' would help us both.....and Ian, and......all bar Corners, possibly....
however, you get the gist......KISS, thanks

Could be because they are not that excessive, when comparing like for like, now that all the lost leader deals at the commercials have dried up.
back on topic....
as you say, Steve, prices can yo-yo depending on demand, especially at commercials....
we're on a short (ish) tour and stayed at Tewkesbury earlier in the week for an overnighter...£21.....
lovely CL in Ludlow....£15....
then on to Broadway....£25....
after that, Sandy Balls......£35.... (needs must, meeting up with family in static, tents and camper van).....so, easily most expensive....but the reason for the site was the facilities for the kids we're meeting up with....
however, next time we're back there it'll be £50 for five nights...
we'll also be doing a THS in Fordingbridge to extend our 'forest' stay.....£8.50....
a mixed bag.....club sites, CL, commercial, THS all in a short tour....

Write your comments here...that's what we did BB but in our case the most expensive was the C&CC site, CC were the cheapest except for a CL but then you get more for your money on a CC site and as you state even more at a commercial site so you pays your
money you takes your choice. Fir us we have just cancelled the C&CC membership as in our eyes they offer an inferior product and service for a premium price.0 -
"really BB, even someone with two o levels should be able to underatnd JVB's post"
ah, Corners.....theres the rub...I havent got (just) two O levels......

Michael, the C&CC membership gives us access to their CS and THS sites, so we keep it, although we also use their club sites if convenient.

I reckon that fish and chips are getting really expensive these days.....and they just keep going up in price.
We still buy them now and then though, when it's convenient or it suits us.
Doesn't stop us saying that they're expensive though.......
