If the club site fees are too expensive (for some ?) then why are so many complaints that they can never get onto club sites as they are always full ,whereas comercial sites have spaces,even when they are doing their off peak loss leaders

In the commercial world of the leisure industry the CC have got their average fees just right. Well done the CC.
Where they could be tweeked to earn greater income and benefit customers, would be to substantially increase the fees at a time when there is much more demand over supply ( peak seasons Bank holidays Etc ) -- and to encourage the use of otherwise empty
pitches,--- substantially reduce the prices during off-peak times.This is the Leisure industry model and it works well across all the leisure companies.

You could also tweak the fees by charging substantially more money for disabled pitches because they're usually in a prime position on site, or have more space.
There aren't any 'disabled pitches' as far as I have seen.
Sorry ET, I suppose I meant that those members who request preferential pitches/service due to disability could be charged substantially more.

Then we should both of us campaign together against any suggested substantial increases to fees for disabled members, because that wouldn't be fair. Much like charging families through the nose when they too have no choice in their holiday arrangements.

I don't think anyone has suggested increasing fees for disabled members other than yourself, Matty.
For the record, and don't shoot the messenger here, CC take the line that peak season charges are the true rates and those at other times of the year are actually discounted.

But do they and where does it say such? They mark their highest prices as Peak, which suggest to me that they are above the norm. They also give a mid week discount at low and mid periods, so is this a discount on a discounted price?

...I do not think the cc or any other organisation need to say that the peak price is the norm, and all other prices are discount ,as all forms of "holidays" are following the same menu
