Corelle crockery
Well we saw the thread on CT about Corelle, so we went to see the Corelle crockery at the Spring Caravan Show at the NEC. Very crowded stand, very expensive I thought but very nice and good selection of designs. We like many have had a Melamine set in the van which has done us well, but with a new van my OH fancied new…

Yorkshire Dampervan Tour, Sept 2025
Day One. We hit the road at 8 AM, ready for our Yorkshire adventure, and to our pleasant surprise, the journey unfolded smoothly. After a quick pit stop at Cobham Services on the M25 and a brief break for lunch at Cherwell Services on the M40, we arrived at the Warwick racecourse CaMC site right on the dot at 1 PM. Instead…

New Van since August 2025
Hello friends, After not being heard from for a while, I'm back with a new campervan. After a wonderful tour, first via Rushden and then further southwest in the UK, and trying out van life with our son's campervan, we bought our own new campervan in August. Of course, we've already been on the road with our new van here…

France and Spain 2025
For the last two years we have holidayed at Guyonnaire in the Vendee region of France (kind of near-ish LaRochelle, but not!). This year we did the same, but expanded upon it by taking in Toulouse, Barcelona, and finally Paris on the way back. 20 days and we kicked off in London for two nights staying at Abbey Wood (a…

Protec covers - our recent experience.
In 40 years of caravanning, we have always used Protec covers and having always had first class service, we decided to use them again to replace our existing five year old cover. In the past, we have just given Protec the year, make and model of our caravan, paid the fee and then waited for delivery. Following our history…

Germany and Austria - again!
Happy to share our experience with sites and places to see in Germany & Austria, as I find it useful to hear fellow member's tales. German sites - nearly always clean and efficient, and the number of permanent sited van's can add to the interest. Site fees even for high season is €20-25/night for 2. In 2018 we used three…

Not thinking of the users
How odd it was to see the bins in the ladies toilets removed and all dog poo bins removed as well from the Start Bay site…..surely this action has been taken without thought for the customers of CAMC. Apparently it is a CAMC decision but why? So many campers have dogs and having one or two bins on site would be hugely…

Trip to Sweden
My wife and myself, who are both 80, have been caravanning for many years, went to visit one of our sons who lives in Sweden. We have done this trip before but a bit longer this year. We left Bristol on Friday 19th August and travelled to Bourton on the Water club site. Only 50 miles from home but a useful stop to make…
