I've just started a new discussion about electricity usage through electric hook-up and would like to read any comments you have on this topic. I've put the discussion under Caravans Technical information. It invites comments about this and about converting volts and watts into amps to calculate which electric appliances can run together without tripping the bollard.
I hope you can participate in this, especially as there people here that know more about this than I do, especially if you happen to be an electrician.

I just checked my Experian Credit Report and was delighted to see that my credit score went up another 15 points this morning. At 999 points, it has now reached the very top!

Have a nice weekend, at your new cl, Oneputt!

Yep and remove them from the pitch when you leave but the site is small and we were allowed to pick a different pitch when we arrived to the one they wanted to allocate to us. It didn't bother us.
I don't think it would go down well with many UK 'vanners but after 7 weeks away we're pretty laid back by now.
The one at Beesel (Petrushoeve) is a pitch yourself site with a choice of increasing 6 amps in ACSI to 10 amps for a small increase in fee. Nice big pitches as car again in car park.Much larger site but not too big. It is dog free though, which we found out when arriving. We'd probably choose that one first when coming this way again, but like to try new ones when we can.

Well, Mrs WN donned her cycling shorts and we set off into Belgium this morning. She regretted the decision halfway around but we had a good long stopover in a small town and after a while we took the short cut home, via a foot ferry.
A bit warmer here today but not touching the giddying heights of last week. Site is choc-a-block but everyone is friendly around us so we're quite happy. The 'van having the door on the "wrong" side is causing some amusement and we often feel like we have 2 heads but we smile and that seems to be the right answer.
H & T why do new vans have niggles. We've got a few ourselves but fortunately nothing too serious at the moment.

What a great day here on the East Norfolk coast. Daughter and grandtwins came over so had an early picnic lunch on the lawn, which included strawberry's from the garden. Went down the beach and they rode there bikes all along the prom after which we paddled in the sea and made sand castle.
We have a vast fabulous beach so do we really need to go over there?

We are having a good day "over here" too, in fact so far we've had a lovely late spring and summer and the weather has been great in the SW and now here in the East (yes we are at Ludham ,Oneputt, saw you other post,) made a mistake about the buses so not the best spot for us but, never the less, will enjoy our short break here. Plenty of nice walks and OH will enjoy his fishing too.
PS, we had brilliant weather in Cumbria too and Cornwall so can't complain at all.

Glad you got a CL sorted, Oneputt. Enjoy your break.

Oneputt what a super day 😃. You can't waste that beach on a day like today. A real glorious English summer day, although the a bit breezy!
Brue glad you're in the east and settled, we're not in Norfolk until the end of the month. Hoping so much this weather will continue.
Hope Mrs Wherenext is feeling better after her exertion earlier.
Just about out of water in our rain butts 😲😲. I reckon tonight's watering will be the last until nature replenishes them. My large tubs in the front are needing extra because of the wind.generally once a week water but 3 or 4 times at present.
Malcolm I hope karaoke helped your wife with her stress levels. Must be very worrying all round. Hopefully an outcome before too long. Shame you're covering so many shifts, a day out for her in this lovely weather in the natural environment is a great booster. Why not say no to a shift or two and both enjoy each others company, and time away from the humdrm of day to day routine 😉. All work and no play ..........

Been a sunny, warm but breezy day, work slightly less hectic, thank goodness
Caravan has had it service, the " niggles" should now sorted, especially the squeaky brakes! can pick it up in the morning, they are waiting for some warranty paperwork that we have to sign.
They did spot something loose on front windows, but fix done before it caused any problems.
Enjoy your Norfolk break Brue, we have also been exceptionally lucky with the weather on our hols this year, just hoping it lasts for Wales next month.

The official reply is 'to streamline departure/arrival times' 😕 I will see if I can find out anything more. When we drove out of the site at 12.20 today they were already queuing to get in and blocking the entrance/exit 😲.

The day started off grey and cloudy so I did some washing to see us through the next 10 days and we did a food shop as the fridge was empty. By the time we got back to the site the sun hsd come out so we relaxed and enjoyed it.
Brue we were also very disappointed to find that the buses through Ludham Bridge had bern stopped as we used them a lot when we were last there. I wonder whether it will affect their bookings next year. I am going to make enquiries about the buses here tomorrow as we are hoping to get the bus into Sheringham for the market on Wednesday. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay there.
I am glad your van passed Helen and also glad that work is less stressful this week.

Already warm on Rosa walk this morning, now sun out and getting warmer ,we really do need some rain(overnight
) as water butts about empty now,but local forecast shows no rain all week and into next week in the East,so good news for those away, our next trip starts on Sunday for a week with friends, at our usual bolt hole

It's hot, hot, hot again here today. I cannot remember the last day we had proper rain. We get the odd few drops just to tease me out of watering garden, but it's doing nothing! Forecast is for same as well. Hope it lasts a couple more months...........

We have used that bus from the Norfolk Broads site and probably wouldn't go back if there were no bus services. West Runton might be an alternative as you can get the train to Wroxham.
Not wishing to be political but until Governments understand the importance of rural bus services we will continue to get service closures. Probably too many of us using our bus passes!!!

I still get one day off per week, Bakers2 on the present rota but it's better, if they need me to do extra, to put it down on the rota rather than give me extra days off and then phone me on one of my days off to ask me to do an extra shift because that way, I know in advance and can plan accordingly. It's very difficult, if you have other plans and you suddenly get a phone call from work to come in for an extra shift unexpectedly!

Just a thought concerning what's on topic or off topic, especially as it seems to cause so much concern on the forum.
Wouldn't comments about the weather on here be off topic? After all, the weather is an environmental climatic matter and is not technically what anyone on here is up to? Also illnesses are a medical condition rather than something that you are actually up to.
What are you up to? This surely means: What are you doing? Rather than what is happening to you or around you.
To my mind, places you visit, your work rota, visits to the shops or banks and any other things that you actually do, are on topic for this particular thread. Correct me, if I'm wrong!

I agree, have used that a few times.

I suppose the answer is yes and no. What we want to avoid is one poster dominating discussions. You will no doubt have noticed that several posters answer several subjects within one post which I think is a good idea. Work rotas are not really of interest to anyone other than the person working them. There might be an exception if one was really out of the ordinary? As with all things it is a matter of judgement and there is some value in watching how others post and how that seems to you. This thread is by its nature very general and wide ranging and what needs guarding against is posting something that merits its own discussion. All a matter of judgement I know.

Surely what you do on a particular day may be dictated by the weather, so in a lot of cases that’s pretty relevant.
Walked down the high street earlier this morning, managed to get a hair cut. Just now back from prepping the van for my trip on Thursday.
Millie do you know if it’s the Cromer Crab 🦀 Fest this weekend?

Ok perhaps I shouldn't worry too much about it, in that case, Huskydog!

I've come up for 3 nights at Cirencester Park with Lady. Arrived on the dot of midday, thanks to a very large piece of aircraft fuselage which was being transported very slowly along the road from Kemble airfield (good job, too, otherwise I'd have arrived early!
) The park seems very quiet at the moment. Decided to go for one of the large grass pitches at the top of the site, near the dog walk for those of you who know the site. And I've just realised that I went the wrong way round the one way system to get here! (So that's 2 reasons for someone to come along and chastise me - virtually at least!)
Just having a quick bite of lunch and then heading up to Chedworth for a walk and a mooch around the Roman Villa.
Oh, BTW, the weather's very nice, a bit overcast but warm enough!

Brue: I have checked the Coast Hopper bus times today and they are still running from Wells-next-the-Sea through to Cromer and stop at West Runton outside the parade of shops so you will be fine for buses at Incleboro Fields. We walked into Cromer from Seacroft this morning but after walking down the hill to the sea front, all along the seafront, back up the hill and doing some shopping we caught the bus back. We had some rain overnight but then we had a couple of hours of lovely sunshine. It has spoiled itself now though and has clouded over again.
I had a word with the lovely lady warden today and asked why the arrival time had been changed to 1.00pm. She said that they had been having too many near misses at the entrance to the site with vans leaving and arriving at the same time. The road is wide outside reception but the actual entrance from the main road is very narrow and you need quite a swing round to get in, especially with a bigger van. They would like the entrance to be made wider by doing away with the grass verges but it all comes down to money I suppose. Also it gives them a chance to cut the grass on the big field. With people both leaving and arriving at 12.00 it meant that at busy times they couldn't cut the grass and people complained! At the moment they are being flexible as although the email confirmation of the booking says 1.00pm the Site Guide still gives the time as 12.00.
OP we have been into Cromer this morning and there was no mention of the Crab Fest. I have a feeling it was last month.
