We're stopping at The Bairnkine CL, just south of Jedburgh. One more day here before heading down to Kendal for our last 4 nights of this trip, which will complete our 10 week tour.

Tda, I wonder why there are a few examples of pigs playing bagpipes. It seem a strange combination, although there must have been some significance in the past.

If we're at home I could well pop down to see the ToB rollout. I guess that there won't be any empty pitches in Keswick that week.

Don't take it to heart Goldie, or Malcolm, some of us find different things we enjoy reading about. No one is comparing, each to their own.smile

Are you doing any shows this year Goldie? Ages since we have been to an Agricultural Show. I used to love sitting ringside watching all the classes at Great Yorkshire. I once helped round up a loose pig at GY, I had an umbrella and a flat painting in a bag, so I just did what they do in pig ring......luckily she was very friendly, but it was a bit surreal! Must have been hilarious to anyone watching. But it worked!laughing

I think the point being made there, is that farming is work, in the same way as delivering pizzas. They are both occupations that involve a rota of work and time off. So why would one occupation be of interest and the other not?

The way I see it is that it doesn't matter whether you are up to farming work, working in an office, working as a check out operator in a supermarket or working as a delivery driver. It is all part of what you are up to i.e. what you are doing and so seems to me to be relevant to this thread.

Also, I think the point EasyT is trying to make is that there is some confusion about what constitutes domination of a thread.Β

I find it easier to reply to posts individually rather than collectively because otherwise you would have to write a summary of each post that you wanted to reply to on a piece of paper as a reminder and then compose several replies all in one post. That seems a bit cumbersome, don't you think? Isn't it much better and easier simply to quote the post and give a reply to each individual comment that is posted. I'm a bit confused as to why that is regarded as domination?

Sometimes you can get useful information from someone who discusses their occupation on here. For example, I learnt from one of Huskydog's posts that his retail shop sells better quality tin openers than what I have previously purchased from Tesco. That is useful information for anyone who happens to pass by his shop and is looking for a good quality tin/can opener that actually works!Β

Lovely sunny start to the day here.Β  Think I will go into the big town this morning (by bus of course) and do some financial stuff.Β  Visit friends for a catch up then home for another potter.Β  Just love a good potter, no stress or time limits, do a little then sit, relax and view what you've done, most satisfying.laughing

Not sure where TG is getting her weathers info. I'm at St Lo, not very far from Mont St Michel and it's a bit grey here. Heading up to the coast later today ready for the ferry tomorrow and back to 50Kg of junk mail.

I was interested to read, this morning, on the EHU thread that they have installed two Electric Car charging points on Brighton CMC site, one of which is the normal domestic 10 amp socket and the other a faster charge 20 amp socket. That's good news!

Do you do mail order? If not you're missing a trick - think of all the CT'ers that you're missing out on πŸ˜‰.

Me I bought a new one recently in Lakeland I had been hanging on but ring pulls aren't fitted on every tin 😲. I must have missed that useful post πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Warm and grey start here. Hopefully it will clear. I have most issues with a lack of a time frame and structure to my day. My OH like you has no worries πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I don't have it if we're away from home.

I'm hoping that the bear pit, referred to as our shed will be blitzed this morning once I've tried the freezer. My OH delights in making chaos from order πŸ˜€πŸ˜πŸ˜‰. I may even get to dispose of bits once I can see them πŸ˜‰. Needs must etc.

    Enjoy your day folks.

Malcolm I'm reading that thread too and taking an interest.

Are you going to ring Brighton site and find out about the cost of the token and roll out? You could post their answer on both threads, although I suspect you'll be referred to HQ. But I expect lots of us will be interested in the response and cost.Β

    That's your morning sorted πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

Ring pulls are not good in our house or c/van as it means me having to open the tins ,whereas a good tin opener saves me work and OHs finger nails.i say ban ring pulls and keep Huskys till goingsurprisedΒ and save me keep having to stop using the computer or readingcool

Well I don't use my fingers πŸ˜‰. In the motorhome it's the blunt end of the teaspoon or himself πŸ˜‰. At home I have an implement, from Lakeland, Β I know others sell them too for the task. Anyway it's good to keep swopping tasks - keeps the mind active and agile πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Hopefully photo to follow.

Edit it worked. Also I was logged out when I returned, logged in and immediately bought up the post to edit. I had clicked edit to re login. Have they 'improved' the site? I also note that it's not dropping off letters after apostrophes which it's continually done since the upgrade. It even seems to be a tad faster this morning. Whoops I'd better go for a lie down 😲 or in my case a shed blitz.

We had a perfect view of Jupiter, the Moon and Venus from the site last night, all in a line, those big Norfolk skies!

And now for a chicken up date, we have enjoyed meeting our little on site pal, she emerged from under the van this morning and has been fed and watered.Β smile

As I read it, both points have both 10 and 20 amp charging, so you have a choice.

We have booked to stay at Brighton next winter for our 2 days away from our seasonal pitch in Gatwick every 21 days, after Littlehampton CMC site closes for the season. So it will be possible to use the electric charging point for the Electric Smart then. If I can use that, it will free up the 16 amps for the usage of our other caravan appliances. Most of the time, I might not need to use the aircon in the winter except for the occasional muggy day!
