Lovely start to the day again for Rosas first walk, except for the smell of muck spreading drifting over in the gentle breeze
but that what farmers do
Then had to take Rosa to the vet as i found a tick on the floor in the kitchen, which i do not think was on her two days ago, when looking she had a big lump on her neck, the vet thinks it is just a bad reaction to the tick bite, although she is up to date with her treatments
Then we decided that as Notcutts allow dogs and we had a voucher for a BOGOF cream tea that what we would do,then found the local Notcutts has no access to the outside eating area to enable us to take Rosa with us,So a word was had with the manager who decided she would get a table and chairs put in the plants area and bring the cream teas to us
After that on our way home it was a trip to our local sailing lake for another walk followed by ice creams for the three of us

Brighter day today so we did a 10K round trip walk to see the Carnac "Alignements" followed by a visit to the Musee de Prehistoire. At least I'm well over my 10,000 steps requirement.
On to Auray and Vannes tomorrow before we start pointing north.

I've arrived at work too early expecting heavy traffic. So catching up on here whilst I have a few spare moments. I'm due to work 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. this evening.

Moved out of Germany today and to a lovely small site in the Netherlands. Mind you, Belgium is 3 kms west and Germany 8 kms east.
Seems funny being the only none Dutch van on site, full by the way. The Dutch are like the Brits, they love "caravanning" and the weather forecast is ok for the next week.
Lots to do but after arriving we walked around the adjacent nature reserve for a couple of hours, getting the drive out of the system.

We order our prescription items on line via the practice website, though it is now a separate system called "Patient-Access".
Once logged in we can select the items we require and then have to say whether we will collect the script from the surgery or whether we wish it sent directly to a pharmacy.
We can also order via leaving a written request in the correct box in the surgery.

Moulesy, glad to hear that Harry is well, albeit slower. As long as he is enjoying life I am sure he will be happy. I hope you and Lady have a good few days away.
The day here started off gloriously sunny and we decided to enjoy the weather on site. The afternoon clouded over a bit so we went to How Hill (just up the road) and took the electric eel boat trip. It was a really good trip off the main waterway through the nature reserve to a hide overlooking a small lake with a very knowledgeable guide. We then had a wander up to the pub and collected fish and chips from the van on site on the way back to the van.

We are exhausted this evening after half a day spent helping DD to tidy and clean in readiness for her viewers this evening. OH says she spends more time cleaning down there than in our own house!
SIL is not the tidiest of people, OH says she is amazed at how far he can spread toothpaste! There was a fair clean up needed in the 3 bathrooms, I got the shower screens and mirrors to clean, again, with the window vac.
DD and OH did the other tidying, cleaning and hoovering, so we were all ready by around 4pm, plenty of time for a rest before the viewing. OH and I took Callum out of the way, in his pushchair, in the hope he would sleep, but that did not work out well.
The viewers were there for about 45 minutes, had a really good look around, seemed to like the house. However this was their first viewing and they have several others lined up, but at least they have already sold their house. They are moving from Surrey to be close to their son who now works in Glasgow.
One of the other 2 remaining similar houses for sale is now on at a reduced price, which is not so good. They presumably have a deadline for achieving a sale.

We do something similar. I collect my prescriptions from the surgery once I have ordered them online. Margaret uses the same system but has chosen to have her prescriptions sent electronically to a local pharmacy where we pick them up a day or two later.

Nice day today so did about 15 miles on the bikes, boy is it windy on the coast, kite surfers out in bigger numbers this afternoon, do they not work Friday afternoons in France
Weekend once again and what was an empty site when we left it after lunch for our ride, became an almost full site by the time we got back. Big group of teenagers (13 - 15) boys on site in the cabins over the other side of the site, must be something like school or club group. Haven't seen any adults supervising them but the site bbq's had hundreds of sausages on them about 9.30 so there must be some somewhere. Got a bit rowdy just after that with them running around in between the caravans and MH's then time for them to hit the showers, glad I had mine earlier. Now all is quiet
think we will go out tomorrow for a longer ride
Have a good weekend folks.

I'am so glad it's the weekend! It's been one of those weeks
won't bore everyone with the details however
Good to read that all trips at home and abroad are going well, sounds like everyone is enjoying themselves
It's cooler and a bit grey this morning, we are off to take a look at a new community market in a nearby village, one of my favourite activities, only problem being I am tempted to spend too much.

We have rain, a short shower, desperately needed. So dry here.

No not on Re now David, we moved off on Tuesday. We are just between St Jean de Monts and Notre Dame de Monts. Site was lovely and quiet until last night, turns out its 4 youth football teams. Madam was not a happy bunny this morning as she had lots of complaints from all over the site, she told me this is the first time they have had problems and she has told the team manager they will not be welcome again if it happens again tonight. Even the laid back Dutch were not happy.
Today has turned out to be another warm and sunny one, we will go for a ride out after lunch as is our norm, moving on again tomorrow to Pornic for a few nights then Anger before we head North to Neufchatel for our last 2 nights before the ferry home, where has the time gone.
Sounds lovely were you are, nice of them to give you a 1 to 1 tour.

We've arrived back at Northbrook Farm CMC site. The grass is looking neat and tidy around our pitch, so the warden must have done a good job with the mower whilst we were away! We'll be getting the awning up this afternoon. It's ideal weather for it, cool and dry!
I'll be working 18:00 to 22:30 this evening. Most of my shift is in daylight now and so much quicker and easier to find addresses.

We'll now be here for another 21 nights before our next two nights away in Littlehampton and by then the days will be drawing in!

A definite change in the weather - cool, wet and windy.
This morning we went to an open day at the local Land Rover dealership. It’s recently undergone a 5 million pound expansion and is an impressive sight.
Having told my husband that there was no way we could afford a new car (re recent land purchase), I fell in love with the first car we saw. Not totally impractical but not really a farmer’s car - a Range Rover Evoque convertible in the shiniest black with red leather seats. So I took some photos to drool over and bought a lottery ticket. Do dreams come true?
But we did get a very nice buffet lunch.

Another place to see Red Kites feeding is at Bwlch Nant yr Arian, near Aberystwyth. There are about 150 - 200 turning up at 3pm. Trying to photograph them is so tricky as they fly about so quickly. So glad you had a wonderful time Moulesy.
We have been at Coed y Llwyn, Gellylydan, had fantastic weather which is exactly what I needed after several bouts of sinusitis. I left the laptop at home, switched off the mobile and spent a technology free time away.
Going to spend some time catching up with what's been happening.

Mixed weather here today. Started dull, then heavy rain, possibly hail, and got so cold we actually switched the heating on for a few hours.....must be a first in June! Mind you, we are not usually here in June.
Brightened up later, so heating turned off again after a couple of hours.
Going to visit our son and family tomorrow afternoon, last chance before our upcoming holiday, then OH has booked a meal at a place on the way home as a Fathers Day treat.
Looking forward to it.

Today was our last day at Foulden Haggs before we move across to Jedburgh. Rain had been forecast for 10:00 this morning but as it looked fine we took a chance and drove over to Eyemouth and had a decent 1 1/2 hr walk along the coastal path southwards towards Berwick and back. There's some quite spectacular rock formation below the path for those interested in geology. Got back to the car before a short shower, after which we walked down to the harbour and into the town. Rain again as we headed back to the car and that continued for much of the afternoon along with thunder rumbling above. Sky cleared about 5:30 and we now have a fine evening.

I can't remember who recommened the book 'The Hourglass' by Tracy Rees but thank you very much. I have read it whilst away this week and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We leave Ludham Bridge tomorrow and go to Seacroft in Cromer. I hope we don't arrive too early as we have to leave here at 12.00 and can't get into Seacroft until 1.00. It's only about 40 miles 😕. Brue I hope you enjoy Ludham Bridge as much as we have.

Millie
I would be interested to know why they have such a silly rule in place at Seacroft as it has a very wide entrance and plenty of room. I would have thought it just makes matters worse? Apart from that I hope you enjoy your stay, one of our favourites.

I was suppose to finish work at 10.30 p.m. yesterday. However, 4 customer orders came in just as I was about to finish, so I was asked if I could stay on. I finally finished work at 11.15 p.m. and got back to the site at 11.30 p.m.
I discovered that the site barriers don't lock at 11 p.m. here like they do on some club sites. So I was able to use my barrier card to get my Smart car back to my pitch.

A brightish day here on the East coast. Will be going to our little viewing place to watch this afternoons flying programme, so need to sort out my cameras.
Hope you have a good journey Millie. I will be (alone) up in North Norfolk for a long weekend from Thursday this coming week. Looking forward to some quality bird watching time.
