All it takes, Steve, is for someone to post in the original thread saying "I have started a new thread on xyz entitled abc in General Chat".  Everyone will then know and any duplication will be avoided. Simples.

I presume some just use the "follow" function and stick to certain threads. I tend to use latest activity followed by discussions. There are various ways of looking at what's happening on here. Easier on a PC than the horizontal scrolling needed on a phone. But none of it is difficult to sort out. wink

Our last day at Noyadd Farm CL near Builth Wells and what a week we've had - I won't hear a word said against Welsh weather from now on! wink

We've walked every day and seen some wonderful scenery, but the highlight was definitely visiting the Red Kite feeding centre near Rhayader. Will try to post some photos when we get back home. smile

I usually visit all the sections I am interested in and look at all the threads, so see the new posts.

If a new subject has been started then I will see it and read it, seems easy to me.

Brue I don't do any sideways/horizontal scrolling on my phone, unless someone includes a full Web address link. Using Samsung s5 in portrait mode, not so keen in landscape mode as need to scroll upwards more often.

Oh if only we still had stars 😉 lots of posts and starting threads for extra points 😂.  I miss those days 😉😉

Beautiful day here today, a few chores after a late start then on the bikes to explore. Great cycle tracks from just outside the site into St Jean de Monts and then on down the coast.  Quite breezy today along the coast and lots of folk out on the water, kite surfers, sailing boats and windsurfers all enjoying themselves. We sat and watched them awhile, huge empty beaches that looked  nice and clean.

Will go in other direction tomorrow towards Normoutier.

Went to a supermarket today and checked the price of diesel at the forecourt next door before going in. Came out 20 minutes later and it had dropped by 3 cents litre. Thought about doing more shopping but didn't want to push my luck.

Beautiful sunny day today until late afternoon when is started to cloud over.  We went into Wroxham this morning. That place always amuses us as everything seems to be owned by Roys of Wroxham.  Goodness know what happens if you fall out with him! We did a bit of shopping and then sat by the river having a coffee watching all the folk trying to cope with the craft that they had hired for the day.laughingThis afternoon we went to East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden.  It is one of the most beautiful gardens we have ever visited. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone when they are in this area. They have an area in their car park specifically for motorhomes.

Hope your sale goes through soon Goldie.  I shall look forward to hearing about your work on it.

Safe journey home moulesy.  You sound as though you have had a really good week.

My late dad's birthday too. His mother had one on the longest and one on the shortest day. Plus 5 more 😲.

Weird in Hamilton gardens in NZ they have mosaic of the solar system with the equinox longest shortest day etc and they're all back to front 😲😲😲😂😂😂😂😂

DD is having a problem with the short nights....the baby is waking up when the sun comes up....today that apparently was 04.30!

So yesterday she got some blackout linings for the other window in the bedroom ( we had already given her the one pair we had), but they were too long.

So having measured up her curtains, last night I cut them to size and OH sewed on the new loose lining tape they had been out and bought. OH  finished  them this morning by hand sewing the ends in place neatly.

Then we went down to her house and after lunch I hung up the new linings......it is really dark in the bedroom now!

One of her (6) budgies was a bit poorly last week so he had been an "in patient" at the specialist vet since Friday, but was allowed home today, with 3 lots of medicine to be administered, so we went to fetch him later in the afternoon.  He has lost quite a bit of weight, but looks a lot perkier than he looked last week.  Hopefully he will be fine now. He has to go for a check up on Saturday.

As far as we know, we have a "day off" tomorrow, then back to the cleaning on Friday as she has a viewer booked in.

One of the 4 similar houses that are for sale now appears to have been sold, after the owners dropped the price to a fixed amount that was £10k below survey value, and £10k less than they paid for it 12 months back.  They must have been desparate to sell!

That's surprising, Kj. Property usually goes up in value. It's unusual to lose £10,000 on a house in one year.

Yes, that particular type of house has increased well in value, 2 nearby ones were recently sold for £345k, purchase price 5 years back was £250k.

In the sale photos the house looks somewhat unloved, so we think possibly the couple are splitting up.  They obviously needed a quick sale for some reason.

The promised foul weather has arrived, now strong wind and lashing rain here.  Hope it does not last too long.

It's still calm here with no wind or rain. I hope it stays that way as it's time for our two nights away in Littlehampton. Perhaps Storm Hector won't affect us in this area. If it does, it could cause difficulties in moving as well as difficulties for my work shift.

At least the awning is packed away now and we had calm weather this morning for that!

Wind and rain. Well, not too much rain, but winds up to 60 mph.

I'm not stirring outside! I'll probably sit and read one of the books I've got in for the World Cup (for the avoidance of).

After a beautiful blue sky yesterday, it is now grey and windy here in Brittany. Got up early to wind awning in as it was banging and creaking a bit.

It's started raining here too, CY but just breezy, no strong winds yet! I'm hoping the rain will stop later this morning when it's time to hitch up for our short 6 mile journey to Littlehampton CMC site.

Grey here but not too windy so will continue with my pottering.  Mrs One is off to 'ladies that lunch' so I might watch a good old black and white movie whilst she is out.laughing

Lot of fast jet activity at the moment, it might be practise for the Great Yarmouth air show this coming weekend or it might be intercepts for Russian Bearssurprised

It's raining in our part of the SW, light drizzle, we had winds yesterday. Woke up to a foul stench, thought we'd got a blocked drain till I stepped outside and it's pervading the village. Not the usual slurry smell which we're used to, we have a local problem with antiquated sewage stations. This means wagons have to empty everything manually to prevent overflow to the river.....yukky yuk yuk....frownwink

Have noted the gardens bit Millie. Thanks

Also about handling boats. Years ago we hired a small boat on the Broads, five of us and the dog. We got stuck in the middle of a large group of learner yachts, I think our maximum speed was half a mile an hour!  wink

We have to get to London  Kings Cross today to update some paperwork, but with the complete b***s up with the train timetable even off peak ,it is going to be  "difficult" journeys ,as we cannot take Rosa,we could normally be there and back in two hours max but numerouse trains are being cancelled or not doing the full journeys,so it looks like a 3hr+ timescaleyell
