It is very grey, misty and dismal here.  Roll on next week when the weather is supposed to be getting better - yaay!!smile Hopefully the people who own our storage facility will be able to tractor our caravan off the water logged plot it is now on to a different dryer plot and we can begin to plan. Our next trip has now been postponed to the beginning of May and hopefully things will have dried out by then. We now have 3 trips booked so far. A week in May, 2 and a half weeks in June and another week in August.

Whereabouts in Devon are you going Helen?  We love Devon.  We spent many years holidaying in North Devon when our children were young. Such happy memories.

We too have problems with pigeons ADD46. They see off all the smaller birds and are a blinking a nuisance. Noisy stupid birds.

Hope you enjoy seeing the family in NI Millie. We have just handed back our visiting terrier and can now look forward to having a break soon. It seems quiet here tonight, chainsaw and chipper going all day, mud tracks across the grass are a reminder, but all nice and tidy tonight. smile

Millie: good to hear your caravan will be on a dryer storage plot. We are lucky our storage is on an old airfield so it's mostly hardstanding.

We are heading to North Devon, Barnstaple. It's a while since we've been in the area.

Weather forecast is promising us some warn sunny weather next week yippee ☺☺

Grey misty and dreary here again today,  but not quite so cold. Doesn't inspire me at all, far too wet to garden and housework done enough I'm fed up with! Roll on some sun. I know I haven't suffered as long as the rest of you but oh boy what a long long winter 😢.

We've not seen Arbuthnott or our wild hedgehog but the food is being eaten and large hedgehog calling cards are left 😉. Mind you could be the fox or cats eating the food. I don' think he' wandered of to our neighbours they are 20 doors up but who can say??

Visited our motorhome yesterday and checked out other storage, very limited, but now on a waiting list. Ruled out another one as too narrow roads to access over    2-3 miles and opposite cow she' so slurry considerations 😉 but that was under cover,  although that means no solar charge, but was an electric hook up. All good with motorhome but site a bigger mess than usual. We need to book MOT and start to think about trips. Jealous of those of you who've got some booked to look forward too.

Milliehull glad you've booked some trips and that you will have drier storage. Have a lovely time with your family in NI.

Brue how nice to be quiet and tidy and back to normal numbers for your house. Hope your daughter had a good holiday.

Glad you're  home safely now Oneputt and hopefully the house is warming nicely.

Not sure if I've included everyone, apologises if I've missed you out - no offence meant, just mentally tired tonight 😲😂

I wonder if Booths will do the same. Hope not as I've only just got my Booths' card and haven't had a chance to get my first free coffee yet.

Dank and Murky here, meant to improve later.  However it's given me time to do some admin, paying bills, changing energy supplier etc.. Wrote a review for Burnham Wick and got a response back from Adrienne with an attached cctv picture of the 2 barn owls in the nest box, just wonderful.

Looking at the photo in the paper today with the number trying you would be lucky to get a view, even if the mist cleared. They were 3 / 4 deep. One chap waited 6 hours, but did get a good photo.

It's also a grey and cold morning here in Lancs, a bit different to last Thursday when we had blue skies and visited St Annes for the day.

We are on the school run later and making tea for two of the grand-daughters. It should be easy they want pizza so we are getting Asda specials, sorry MM.smile

Looking forward to the higher temperatures next week.cool

We arrived on site yesterday afternoon what should have been a 2 hour drive took almost 3 hours as we took the wrong junction from the motorway. Ended up driving up some very narrow and steep country lanes which was strssful with a caravan on w but we got there in the end. Didnt do much last night but I got up early this morning and went a nice 15 mile cycle along the coast. We plan on doing dinner on the Cadac tonight weather permiting.

Dull day here like so many others.

Shopping this morning, then making fishcakes for dinner (now firming up in fridge) and then off for my 6 monthly check up with my kidney consultant, who this time was a German lady who I see occasionally. So we had a good natter about my upcoming trip to Germany and even got to discuss radar and the effects on the Battle of Britain. Last time it was the history of the Trabant car. We did discuss the clinical findings first but as they were more or less the same as 6 months ago and the next patient hadn't arrived we were able to have a good blather.

Woke up to a lovely morning but it then turned cloudy and dull, never mind I had planned to go clothes shopping in town on my ownsmile

OH had his 'Mens shed' this morning so left him to it, he is now outside doing  work on his little trailer, what I'm not sure but its keeping him happy.wink

I had a great time in town spending money smile bought loads of crops, couldn't find any last year, must have timed it right this year as all shops full of them. 4 pairs from Bonmarche, then onto M&S  2 pairs of crop leggings and 2 pairs of full length leggings for riding bike and 2 T shirts. A new pair of black sandals (last years fell apart)  So all I need to do now is sort out some of the ones I already have and bin a few pairs.

Bring on the good weather I'm all ready for it now smilelaughing

Pleased to hear your news Cariadon. Hope your OH makes a good recovery.

OH got a bargain today. M&S had a rail of better sales items (instead of unsellable ones brought in from other stores..wink) so he bought a vyella type shirt for £2.80. The man next to him found a £150 jacket for £2, all good stuff!

I put some info about u switch on the finance thread, I nearly went with "bulb" but could only get the best rate in our area for a non fixed price, so check the offers carefully, the area supplies seem to vary.

Great news that your OH is now home Cariadon smile all the best for a speedy recovery.

It's been yet another cold, damp day, so sign of any sunshine here cry

Glad to read shopping trips have resulted in bargains, I rarely manage to find any sale bargains. frown

Off to our local community food market this evening, which usually means I spend too much embarassedmoney-mouth
