Oneputt, I'll have a chat with my brother. He was advised to have this a few years ago but I'm not sure what treatment he opted for. I do know he had some skin transplanted from his shoulder area and his condition seems to have settled down now.

I have been known to buy some tops for Mrs WN. It's just a vicious rumour that most of them end up in the charity bags.

Many years ago my father used to buy all, and I mean all, of my mothers clothes as at one stage she was too ill to go out to do it herself.

Thanks WN, the more info the better.  Not sure I will have much choice but will wait and see.  Will look forward to hearing about what you see on the moor.

A question: is it wrong to wash up with one hand while drinking Gin with the other?

    Asking for a friend!

Just had a catch up hope I remember everything!

Oneputt well done on winning iPad, hope you're enjoying it, shame it came with some rotten news 😔, hopefully the treatment will sort it - not something I'd come across before so will read up.

    MrRoute sounds painful swift recovery.

Cariadon delighted to hear your OH home from hospital hopefully peaceful nights, tlc and some sun will speed up the recovery.

Goldie keep up the good, if hard, work it will all be well worth it and the memories will be wonderful. On the dust question I often ask the same thing.

Wherenext thanks for link I do have the MSE email, a very swift go on uswitch bought Bulb to number one, a bit more research to do then discussion with OH who not keen to change because if horror stories he's heard.

Milliehull you must have looked a bit 'iffy' 😉. Not a very nice experience at all. Hopefully time with the family will make up for it.

Tammygirl good shopping, so many shops but not always choice and limited time for stock, 6 weeks they reckon, so hitting at the right time is crucial. My OH will do clothes shopping but takes some convincing that it is needed - much harder with shoes 😤

Glad some folks are reporting the sun hasn't been totally lost. Still grey with very chilly breeze but dry 😃.

Sorted out last of finance stuff until fixed terms expire in June. Bought few bits of fresh veg whilst in town. Checked out the new Aldi lovely store but not overly well stocked, no cheddar cheese unless mild or vintage mature, no milk, no non diet lemonade plus others. Would probably try again as I'm not an Aldi shopper it was also all new to me.

Not seen Arbuthnott but all hedgehog food eaten and large calling cards left behind, 2 differnt colours 😲 so hopefully our wild one about too.

Well done, you'll be pleased, if not exhausted too 😉, when you'e finished. We have never managed to wash ours in less than half a day and the same again for a polish. Perhaps were slow/unfit/thorough delete as applicable.

Don't  try  that  with  Gin  in  a  glass,  Goldie  'cos  you  might  get  Bubbles  in  it  !!

Preferably  1)  drink  from  the  bottle  --  much  less  chance  of  spills,  certainly  to  start  with

    2)  bubbles  should  only  be  drunk  from  the  proper  Flutes  ( and  I  don't  mean  musical  thingies )  when  relaxing  and  eating  the  approved  'finger  fodder'  doubtless  made  by  your  good  self  laughing

Nothing  ,  of  course,  against  sitting  back  &  commenting  on  the  quality  of  cleanliness  of  the  crockery  wink

wink  A slightly better day weather wise ,fog lifted in afternoon,in East Kent.Assisted another 'boater' to set up his rigging etc. Then had a call from my friendly heating engineer to say the new 'spare part' for the boiler in to be fitted today. So a quick dash home around mid-day.

If he can't find what he wants in the first shop that's it he's had enough. When he does buy things on his own they are always the same colour as he has at home (usually navy) but he never thinks to try and match bottoms to tops so hence my intervention

Wimmin!! They do not understand coordination. They think that blue, yellow, green. pink, red don't 'go'

I'm on a mission this morning. Front garden already weeded and tidied up from winter. Just having a cuppa before making a start on the back garden. We garden on clay soil, so it's a joy to dig at the moment. If I leave it any longer it will be impossible to dig as it will be rock solid. Wishing you all a nice weekend whatever you're doing.

Off with OH for an hour of basic life support training at the local health centre this morning. Did it all years ago when I did first aider training at work. However, worth having a refresher, particularly the CPR.

Still dull here, although 8C. Supposed to brighten up and 16C later. So good for a walk.

Off to see my Mum, taking her to my sister's, it's getting increasingly difficult to get Mum out and about but we can just about manage it, slightly easier today if it stays dry.

Have a good weekend everyone. smile

Skies are brighter today and they promise sunshine later, I hope so I've forgotten what it looks like.

OH gone out already, he is paying a visit to a local wood turning club (thanks Kj) with a view of having a go at it.

Once I get my self off the couch I will be putting clothes in the washing machine and then going into the garden where possible and doing something constructive wink I've a bit of potting up to do and still a couple of bushes that need to be cut back. I only ever take the Buddleia half way down over winter then do the rest once it start budding.

Also need to make a start on getting the van ready for going away, looks like we might get a few nice days next week, so a trip out to test OH's gear changing arm would be good. Would also like to get out on the bikes at some stage.

Have a nice visit with your Mum brue, we haven't taken Mum out since she went into the new home, its getting very hard to do so.

H&T have a nice meal with the family tonight.

Anyone out and about hope you have a nice weekend.

A very good course. Apart from getting to practice CPR (forgot what hard physical work that is) they demonstrated one of the defibrillators, like they have on CC campsites and in cabinets / old phone boxes around the place. So now at least I would know what to expect if we ever had to use one.

Having spent all day yesterday perched on the top off a ladder stretching across the MH roof with a pot of MER, I'm having a lazy day today to give my aching muscles a chance to recover.

H&T I'm already regretting my enthusiasm this morning. Both front and back gardens weeded. The wheelie bin is full and three bin bags. I've decided I've done enough (legs and back aching) so I'm going to have a bath. Tomorrow will be a very lazy day!

    Enjoy your Italian tonight.

When we got up this morning  the sun was shining and it was quite warm outside. I took the opportunity to go a cycle along the coast lovely route I managed 12 miles. There is a chip van due to visit the site tonight so think we will try something from there for dinner tonight.

Huskydog - EasyT's post and your own were removed to avoid a discussion on an individual member.  Not exactly against T & Cs but, in the circumstances, not desirable.  Apologies but this is a matter best left off the forum so please don't continue this discussion.

    Thank You.

Visited BIL who is making progress, brought a tread mill so he could continue his exercise programme during bad weather.  Went for a walk along the beach, got home mowed the lawns and come in for a cuppa just as the sun came through.

We have a plan now for next week, I'll take the van to Sussex for it's annual service then go to sons.  Mrs One got a couple of appointments then she will get a train down to sons.  This is the last time I will take van to down there as warranty will have expired.
