You can always check your Household Insurance for the Public Liability aspect as a lot of companies include liability arising from ownership of a Cat or Dog. Some Insurers restrict it to those 2 animals and some exclude all cover but you may be paying for the insurance twice over if you've bought stand alone cover.
We're with Halifax (Lloyds Bank) and our policy gives cover.

Can’t only reach 6 of ours so got a couple of quotes, lowest was £375 and the other £550. Just hope it rains hard sometime soon💦
Went to see the grand twins this morning which was lovely and they were really good about distancing. They don’t work in metres but in breakfast bars which they can visualise😁

Really hot here today. Went to DD's and borrowed her FIL's hedge trimmer, so the hedge is now well trimmed. Waved to Callum, Daddy brought him to the back door to see me.
OH was out to the village today, pills from chemist and a quick trip to Aldi, where it was very quiet, but in the precinct in the village there were groups of teenagers on foot and on bikes.....absolutely no social distancing there.
Nicola was expressing her disappointment at lunch time over the behaviour at the weekend, I can only agree having seen the news reports. She will make it a law rather than guidance if people do not behave sensibly, and that is probably a good thing.
DD was telling us that SIL has fallen out with his parents over their behaviour. They invited him to their garden on Friday.......2 households, max 8 people........when he got there, there was Mum and Dad, his sister plus OH and baby, his other sister, his Mum's sister and husband, so 8 plus him, and 5 households! He came home.

Filled the car with petrol for the first time for 3 months today. Its certainly gone down in price so treated it to a higher grade petrol rather than bog standard as it was still good value!!!

Sounds very nice, I bet Cointreau would be a good addition as well.😂 I have a little ice cream churner, so can do the whipping bit quite easily. I have decided to do the Marmalade Ice cream I did last month, but using Lemon and Lime Marmalade for a change.
Thanks for those two recipes, will give them a go.

3kilos.....our pooch eats that much in a day🤣 Bless, she sounds lovely.
We have been out for a fish supper tonight. Ordered fish and chips online, pick up outside, off in Jeep with roof off for a drive and nice stroll. Took pooch to a local reservoir nature reserve. Someone whiffs a tad swampy now, but he’s a happy bunny, he likes a dip. Missing the sea......☹️

I was out and didn't see anything, apart from a bright crescent Moon and a light red/orange sky.

It's a good book to have if you just want a shortlist walk or have tried legs, and is also a good read anytime.

Another hot day but thankfully a pleasant breeze kept us from burning while out. Didn't do a lot apart from the usual 8 miles or so for me and Flyte. Might head off for another ramble over some lowish fells tomorrow if not too hot, as OH doesn't like being out for too long when it's very warm.

Another scorcher today,
Car key has not been found after searching everything, everywhere and anything, so, visited the locksmith 8 miles away to get the car key cut, took about 20mins to cut and programme, everything was wiped by the locksmith with alcohol wipes including my credit card! which is £61 lighter.
decided to drive the extra 10 miles to visit mum, sat in her back garden for a cuppa and a chat.
OH wanted to go shopping so stopped off at ASDA on the way home I took Bramble for a stroll for the hour OH was in the shop, didn't get anything nice for me though

then later this evening I mowed the back lawn then watered it with the cheap sprinkler from Lidl.
tomorrow I need to go into work (110 miles each way ) for the day so will probably go on No1 motorbike hopefully be back late afternoon and not have to stay overnight.

We had the same thing over the weekend with one of our neighbours, both their daughters arrived with their boyfriends, then her sister, then her mid 70 year old Mum yep 5 households. We could see them from our garden, no social distancing going on at all. Then to top if off on Sunday night he had a party out the front of his house, loud music and all and sundry passing by stopped for a drink and chat.
We tried to go for a walk in the nearby Hermitage, Police car sat at the entrance, bollards right across the road blocking off the car park.
A few cars parked at the side of the road and others parked in the station car park at Dunkeld. We gave it a miss.
Lots of places were trashed over the weekend, Nicola was not a happy bunny.

Our immediate neighbour has had various folk in the garden and workshops throughout. No social distancing.
Good on Nichola I say 😀
Meanwhile even before the quarantine comes in, there are lobbies against it 😱 and listening to the today programme virtually self regulated, can change address and you shopping 🤔🤔. Is that quarantine or isolating, must go check OED definitions as I may have it a for elbow 🤣
Dora and I had another early walk, 2 buses going past together caused a little scrabble in the bag. So I think it's working 😀. Puts a smile on several faces. I do wish it would slow the traffic to the actual speed limit 😤😤😤. There are no traffic jams so to me no need to rush, surely you time your journey according to the conditions???eg setting out in good time to heed speeds and conditions! Silly silly me.
The cat owner of the squashed cat I posted about has been found and a lady who rescues cats retrieved it. Not a pleasant job but I could do nothing when I spotted it.. That's 3 cats in 3 days apparently they've got used to quieter roads 😢. They've not just been knocked either.
Another beautiful start to our day again here 😀☀️🌞
Brue hope you're feeling a bit better this morning?

I had thought that myself Wherenext and then forgot to check it so thanks for the reminder! Had to call our insurers, LV, to double check public liability covered dogs as not included in the wording, but the exclusions mentioned dangerous dogs and the act. I double checked because years ago I worked in motor claims no probs, but changed to liability claims and hated the way they would wriggle. A lesson I've not forgotten 😉. Check, double check note date time and person discussed with 😂
So 2 insurance policies covering same liability, if different companies they'd claim some back same company?? Bet they won't offer discount, but I won't know until I ask, and I'll need to have made some decisions by then 😂.
Checked out the one mentioned by brue, roughly similar cover and costs. I tried the insurer both the breeder and the vet gave free cover with, first stumbling block is where their call centres are located 😉

One of the problems with lockdown is that it gives you plenty of time to observe! We have a guy on our estate who seems to sell fishing tackle from his back garden. He has been doing it for a long time and I don't know whether its done through ebay or Facebook. All through lockdown he has had anywhere between 6 and 10 cars arrive each day to buy stuff. Now whether this is allowed I have no idea but it does seem to make a mockery of things!! About two weeks ago I notice a white car started to park across from us. It used to arrive quite late in the evening and was often gone fairly early in the morning. A couple of times I noticed a guy get out of the car, who I didn't recognise, and he headed off through a cut way to the next estate. Was he breaking the rules but staying somewhere which was not his normal residence. So if you multiply this up all across the country I suspect lockdown has not been as secure as some might think!!!

When out with Rosa early yesterday morning ,it was quite noticable how many more dogs were being walked, than in the last few weeks,as people were starting back at work or school;
This morning we were a bit later ,and saw a couple who were early yesterday ,one had been , with two of her colleagues , given redundancy notices (they had been on furlough) as was another man who was out with his dog, had also been on furlough,

The shape of things to come ?

Very sad for folks. Some very precarious businesses at the moment, this is going to affect us all one way or another.

On our constitutional yesterday evening, there were what appeared to be two muslim families having a picnic, a group of eleven who certainly weren't observing the social distancing rules. Given the increased risk to their demographic, were they foolish or brave?
Quite a number of "lads" in groups which again appeared to be from more than two households with a shrunken view of what two metres looks like.
Following the pictures of the crowds at Durdle Door and other locations, any semblance of control has gone out of the window.

Actually CY, those 11 Asians might be two families. Some live in multi generational households often with large numbers in one household. Even during early lockdown, it wasn’t uncommon to see families of six or seven walking in our Park. I have no idea of what the advice was at the time, but because our Park is close at one edge to where our Asian communities live, it started to get very busy, way too busy for us, we opted to exercise elsewhere in the second month.
I have given up on the younger male generation, of various cultures. Some consider themselves immortal round us, either walking around in large loud groups, or driving their cars like maniacs. It’s got so bad, we are looking to get a camera that can be used on a bike and as a dash cam. Isolated incidents, but enough of them to be very worrying. Think it’s nationwide, but the speed monitoring units you see at roadsides were taken off to other duties, delivering PPE I think. No joined up thinking there.....doesn’t need a rocket scientist to predict empty roads+ bored fools+cars=speeding.

Probably works a bit like antifreeze in a car?

just spoken to niece Pauline who has been one of the coordinators for Scrub Norfolk. She told us that Norfolk is now able to stockpile scrubs and also send 500 to North Wales who are still experiencing difficulties. Mrs One is now making XL scrubs so delivered some more this morning.
Another cracking day here although in the last hour a few wispy clouds have started to gather.
I had a walk down the beach at 8 am this morning, even at that time the idiots were about but I managed to keep well clear. The Heavy lift ship is back in port, we watched it's arrival last night. So far it has offloaded two redundant Jackets (legs).
Take another stroll later. Managed 53 miles last week so got to beat that

We have noticed similar things here David.
There's a man who is self employed but couldn't so he has spent almost the entire lockdown making stuff in his shed to sell on eBay with customers appearing at his house. Of the 16 occupied houses in the cul de sac at least 10 of them have broken regulations usually by having a relative around. Amazingly though the single man who has a lady friend living about 10 miles away hasn't seen her in the full 10 weeks. Both have been sensible about it and I would have bet good money he would have been the first to break the rules. Just shows how one shouldn't pre-judge.

Busy morning.
Shopping first thing but we found a dead half eaten pigeon under the car so I had to deal with that. The Soffat boards needed a really good cleaning so an hour or so doing that. Love getting dirty water running up my arm and down my back. Obviously a shower straight after.
Just going for a walk before the sun disappears for June.

Hope Brue's ok.
Oneputt, I assume your toe is mended.

My daughter is furloughed(but expecting to be made redundant
), and is making up some of the diference in her salary,by making "designer?" face masks at home in her village ,and has sold over 100 so far and when she phoned to see how OH got on with her Hospital appointments yesterday, told me she today has had an order for fifty from store in MK
they sell for between £5-£7 each
0 -
Wow £5-£7 each. I've been making face masks for the last few weeks for our village FB group, I ask for £1 I find this covers the cost of material and elastic with a bit left over.
In total I've made 85 so far with more still on order, just ran out of material and elastic again, hoping they should be here by the end of the week.
Dull day here today so I finished cleaning the windows that I couldn't do the other day as the sun was on them. Spent half an hour dead heading the climbing rose and a few other plants.
OH had his conference call with the Men's shed this morning, they have 2 a week. There is always something to talk about and show each other what they have been up to at home. They are looking into ways of getting the shed open again as a few of the guys are feeling a bit isolated living on their own.
Looks like we might get some rain today or tomorrow, gardens very dry like everywhere else in the country, not something we usually suffer.
Lunch over and time to get back to finishing off the masks.
Have a good day folks.

Good on her, enterprising but I reckon she's selling herself short taking into account her time the materials and if MK want some a delivery charge that will cover her time to and from plus petrol wear and tear etc. 45p a mile used to be the norm for that.
Friend of mine said a friend of hers ordered 2 on eBay for her grand children, had children's characters on them. She didn't check the price just bought instantly and was shocked to find they were £26 each 😲. She hasn't told her hubby - I hope if they have a joint account he doesn't scrutinise it too closely
