Just back from our walk, warmer out there than it looked when the sun disappeared.  Queue of 12 at our very small Lidl, so OH sent me to Farmfoods to look for eggs while she was in the queue.  Only small eggs, but I got them anyway, just as well as Lidl had none.

Their stock was apparently variable, no flour, low on meat, but plenty veg, dairy, toilet rolls, and even paracetamol!

Seems flour of any type is missing from many shops.

Would be interesting to hear how the spelt recipe turns out brue, it is not one I have tried.

We have plenty of strong flour, both white and wholemeal, at present,  as we had not long stocked up when the lockdown started, but I can see that we may run out in about 4 weeks at this rate, as will DD.   OH was looking on line, but the places she found are not registering new customers at present, suggestions welcome.

Thanks, we have found their Cotswold  Crunch at Aldi in the past and enjoyed that.   Their shop is on limited hours at present but will keep checking back.  If we can order soon, we should get it before we run out!

I think Rocky might be asking for royalty fees Brian. Remember never to upset the man with the chainsaw!smile

Quiet day here doing odd jobs. Finished varnishing a wooden gate, filling in paving blocks with sand after taking moss out during the week, some gardening. Another lovely day.

Did notice the awful death toll on BBC News. No mention of a Man on a cross though. I'm not religious but would have thought it might have been worth an item.

Warmer day but not sunny, very hazy. Nice to be out working in the garden without having to wear fleece and jacket.

Grass was to wet this morning so decided to weed the gravel area we have, then got the leaf blower out and cleared up all the leaves that had collected and got stuck round the gas tank and trellising.

Oh been busy working on something in the big car.

This afternoon we went for a 5 mile bike ride, its getting easier so does that mean I'm getting fitter laughing

    Stay safe, stay well.

Well that was a bit of a surprise.

Sitting here reading when there was a clash of thunder and accompanying rain. It was a sort of an apologetic Storm. The garden did need it. I was going to give it some water tomorrow. Another job saved.

A warm day but not as sunny as yesterday. Spent most of day, when not walking Flyte, waterproofing a fence that separates the car port from the garden. Will do similar tomorrow to our front fence, weather permitting. We could do with a good downpour, but just one, as the garden is drying out and I have resorted to watering our plants.

Had a walk around 5pm, diverted off the normal route and called in at the church to light a candle for all the victims of the virus.  Lit a second candle to keep our front line services folk safe from harm.  Carried on with walk and just before 6pm called into Morrison’s to get a couple of things. More staff around than customers so very easy and back out within 10 minutes.  Got home and erected Mrs Ones tent in the garden for her overnight camp in aid of the NHS

    Keep well and stay safe

I'm none too worried about R2B, WN.    I've found his original post but it was on a different thread and a different day, so a bloke of his advanced age will surely have forgotten all about it by now wink  ( Well I hope so anyway  embarassed  )

Ours is also closed for the duration but is conducting virtual services on various platforms. I have set up Zoom on the OH's iPad, so she can attend the sunrise service on Easter Sunday. Bit early for me, even virtually, with a 5:45 kick off.😂

Our churches and the Cathedral are now even closed for quiet reflection. Even the clergy are not allowed in. Doors are locked. The Cathedral are live streaming some services that the clergy are doing from their own homes.

Yes our virtual ones are from the vicarage, plus others virtually linked homes. I believe the Archbishop has ruled that churches should not be used, even for virtual services. Although there is a little discontent in the ranks, particularly where the churches are next door, or even attached to the vicarage.
