That's what I normally eat, cheese wise, so I'll just have to up my intake.

I got my Hummus and Halloumi mixed up last night and it's the latter that I should be eating, but it's all Greek to me! cool

I'll have a look next week when we go shopping again, thanks Kjell.

I did walk down to our smaller Aldi this afternoon. Although they are quite limited in the stock they hold I did get a large tub of Lemon Greek Yogurt, so I'll try it on my cereal at breakfast tomorrow. If I don't like it OH will be getting it.

Best way to eat Halloumi is to grill or fry it but not so that you could use them as sleeping policemen. They're a bit flavourless so try adding some pep to them if you can. Just a little bit of Paprika does the trick for us.

I think I'll give it a miss WN, there are plenty of other more favourable cheeses to try.

That's the one I regularly get, and very good it I'd too, much better than the similar one from Lidl in England, but their Scottish version is very good too.

It has taken 3 days, but we have caught the latest mouse [number 20 of the season before we discovered a 'mouse by pass' entry point to the kitchen.

The latest little Herbert had become quite cocky, licking the bait from 2 traps in the kitchen, before reaching the lounge where I'd set a 3rd trap with a much smaller amount of food,  tempting him to get that little bit closer to the tipping point.

I just hope that the warmer weather will now keep the little devils outside for the Summer.

A decent start to the day; alas, not so for Mr Mouse.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, which I have passed on to Ros.  She spent an hour on the phone to her sister, this morning (whilst I cleaned the downstairs (outside) windows!).  The funeral will be towards the end of the month - no flowers - no cars other than the hearse - maximum of 5 mourners, so sadly and as expected, we won't be able to go. As her other sister, (not known for her sensitivity), pointed out yesterday, I am now the last remaining brother-in-law.  Feels a bit like 'ten green bottles'!

I bought a set of those dog-agility hurdles/hoops/tunnel sets from Aldi a few weeks ago.  We (Meg, that is) were supposed to be trying it out at our favourite CS we should have been on this week, but that's not happening.

Tempted to try them out in the garden but we have quite a small garden and a very large pond - think I can guess what the outcome would be - and Meg doesn't like water!!

Probably best to wait until all of this is oversmile

Not a bad day here, sunny off and on.  Just had the last of our home made soup for lunch, with a large slice of our home made bread.....very tasty.

Will take a walk later and return via Lidl in the hope they may have eggs.

We should be able to have a chat with Callum later, this is a working day for his Mummy so Daddy is in charge today. Mummy will have Monday off however.  Hopefully the weather will be good enough for Callum to be able to play in the garden and use up some of his boundless energy!

It's very warm here again, I'm in the cool just now. KJ, I forgot to thankyou for the spelt recipe...the bag is still sitting in the kitchen looking at me. My big bag of bread flour still hasn't arrived, frequent e mails from the mill saying they are trying to catch up.

If I'm outside I sometimes chat to passersby on our right of way although now the hedging is greening up they're not so easy to see. Most are heading for a local hill, I can tell them it's all clear as I can see up to the top from our side. Soon the cows will be up there too and some of the foot traffic will stop. Other than that, no traffic noise, birds singing, quite pleasant if there were no other worries.

Another glorious day here about 22c. Giving myself the day off now as it's Good Friday. Tried sitting on the patio for lunch too hot, moved to the shade too cool. Now settled with chair on the grass with heading the shade and legs in the sun - seems to be working quite well.

Made some mince pies aside found a jar of mincemeat, turned out to be half a jar. Still leaves some pastry to make and apple and blueberry pie, found the apples in tge bottom of the freezer, always have blueberries on my porridge and they're usually 3 bags for  ยฃ5 frozen ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Frozen 6 mince pies otherwise they'll all go and I can make at least 4 desserts out of the 12. ๐Ÿ˜†

Just received my compost and chicken manure pellets from the local nursery, only ordered yesterday when they reopened their ordering line! Now wish I'd doubled the compost order, or well I'll get by. But I am not gardening today! All delivered not contact and social distancing and I didn't have to lift any of it into the back garden ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    Stay safe

Is it me or is this site not taking posts first time?
