Could the Club please send me a copy of the How to do it manual. I don’t seem to have received it.

@Bakers2 Samsung devices usually give you the option of using their own browser which doesn’t have a great reputation or Chrome. Have you tried Chrome?

@InaD I don’t use the emoji icon in the post comments box, I still use the emojis on my iPad keyboard. Not sure if a Samsung tablet gives you this option. I just find it easier to be honest.👍🙂

No problem. Here are the links:

it’s beginning to irritate now.
On the page boxes at the bottom of a page on an open thread the double arrow only takes you forward one page not to the end.
When I open CT it opens on Recent Discussions but I then have to select Discussions from the three lines, top left, to enable me to move from one page of threads to the next.
I tried clicking Recently Replied someone suggested, but that doesn’t make any difference, I still have to scroll through pages, including threads with no new replies, to see if there are new replies I want to view.
Mainly using an I pad, but same with my PC

Did people notice that while the main site was down for maintenance, CT was available.

@Hja if you open up a new thread that you haven’t read for a while, or an old thread that’s been migrated across, then the default load appears to be to take you either right to the beginning of the thread, or back to the last place you read. Once this has been done, it then seems to load at the last place you stopped reading (Hope this makes sense.) If you want to turn a page of threads, use the arrow button. If you want to skip to the end of the thread, then click on the highest page number.
It might also be that you are choosing to go to Recent Discussions, which possibly has a limited number of threads to view. If you go in via Categories, it’s very like the old CT in that you choose a section you are interested in, open this, then all the threads under that section are there, (light grey for having been read, dark grey where you haven’t read). These give page numbers for each thread, making it easier to skip through, even right to the end. The only difference that I can see between this new forum, and the old CT is that the sections are now behind a picture. The rest appears to be the same. Hope this helps👍1 -
@Rowena…….not being able to tag anyone definitely isn’t working for me either at the moment. @Rowena it seems to be that opening letter, it’s not defaulting to a capital letter, if you press the back key it doesn’t delete it copies the letter or symbol you are trying to use, and it won’t open the drop down box of name tags. Fine as you can see later in the conversation. iPad, using Safari. Hope this helps👍

I noticed that the double "greater than " symbol ,only moves you to the next page ,shouldn't it be a single "greater than" symbol.I always associate a "double greater" than to take you to the last post.
I still find it so busy, I know it is early days, why three log in buttons? Why have categories repeated along the top and down the side.
At the moment I just think I am drowning in treacle.

@Hja the Recent Discussions is the new equivalent of Latest Activity as far as posts are concerned. The foot of the page allows you to move to previous pages whereas using Home does not.
Incidentally, I agree completely with TDA's description of the system taking you to the start of a discussion the first time you read it and to the latest unread post on subsequent bidets. Ro explained this somewhere back through the pages.1 -
Well that last post was interesting!
Pressed quote button, started typing. Realised quote was missing. Wasn't sure how it would work so tried to copy text, before attempting. At this point I wasn't offered a select all, just tried that again and find its available by clicking on downward dots on the right.
TThe Post appears OK,but the floating ' t ' at the end completes the word 'it't🤣
@Rowena note the double 1st letter and capital on 2nd word.

B2, perhaps your quoted post is the proof of the pudding? Sorry, no offence intended to you but it’s looking as if your browser may be the reason.🤷🏻♂️

I assume it's now two separate sites/systems/servers?

@Fozzie not sure where you are looking for the log on buttons, but I can only find the one, in the drop down box, by clicking my avatar. As I stay signed in (hurrah that’s another PITB old feature that has gone) it’s not an issue for me. The links you refer to vary by page, down the side on some pages, down at the bottom on others? I haven’t found a page yet that has both, but happy to be corrected.

@Cornersteady yes I think they are separate now, hence having to change password when you first try to get on new CT. 🙂

woo -hoo! That’s a turn around for sure 😀

I only see the 3 log in buttons before logging in,1 is greyed out top right hand, then one above the categories section and the third log in button used to be after the opening post, but now it has moved to the bottom of the page.
Incidentally,I have selected "stayed logged in" but I keep having to re log in every time.
My easiest way of navigating sections I always read,is by going to "Advanced Search" this brings up all of the old header categories, here I can select all the sections I normally visit or which I always follow, but for some strange reason there is no "Caravan" section. There is a "Motorhome" header though.
I will keep persevering!!

@Fozzie I am sure you like to search for things in a manner that suits you, but I can get you to the Caravans section quite easily, it is there😁 Click on Categories (top line), brings up different thread sections, with a photo for each. Click on Information, Technical Tips and you should end up with a screen like this…
The Caravans section is bottom left of my screenshot, hidden by the live chat box on the photo. Click on this, and it will open up everything “Caravan”. If you want to know how to save particular threads, so you can go to them with one click, let me know and I will try to help👍

@JaRT I find the the complete opposite from you, as it is much too cluttered up for my liking. The old CT was so much easier to use IMO. However everyone to there own and this is the one we have to work with until they decided to change it again!😀
@Rowena I am using Silk Browser on my Kindle and am having the double letter problem. After posting @ and a letter about 5 icons appear but if the person I want to highlight and respond to isn't listed the next letter I type results a doubling pubic the first letter or the two. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks @nelliethehooker I will pass that info on to the support who are investigating.
