Thank you Rowena. My profile shows I have six bookmarks as well, but when I open them up, it only shows five. I don’t mind re writing the thread, but it was just so strange. All fine until I decided to do a small edit. Oops🤭

Bakers, I think the dog thread you might be wanting to post in is a closed one. You have to join it, then you can post. That might be why you saw no comment reply box. I will try and screen shot it for you if I can.

@Bakers2 click on Groups at the top of the page. It should bring up all the different groups you can join, including the Dog one. Click on the “Join” box, which should be on the right hand side of the page. This brings up a box that allows you to press “ok” to join. Once you have done this, you should see a screen like this..
Click on the “Let’s see your dogs” (blue highlight) and that will open up all the photos and comments posted, and will give you a comments reply box. Hope this helps. All the other special interest groups are in the Groups section as well, with more to be added if someone makes a request.

B2 @Bakers2 - No - you have to join the group as well. Go to the top of the CT page and select "Groups". New page comes up with a list of groups. At the right hand side of each group is a box that says "Join". Click this - you become a member of that group and you're in. Hope this helps.

@Takethedogalong - that's exactly what happened to me yesterday. Flagged it up with Rowena and she said that it had been identified as spam - for whatever reason. She managed to sort it out. Looks as if there might be a glitch with the edit process @Rowena

@richardandros thanks for that. I haven’t rewritten my thread yet, left things as they are. Noticed that section does say two discussions as well, but there’s only one showing.

Gradually getting used to the new style forum which seems a big improvement on the former version.
Just a couple of glitches - it seems that when I start typing a sentence the first word is often repeated in whole or part (for example I got "JusJust" at the start of this one). Any reason for that or is it just me?
AAnd (there it goes again!), once I've read my notifications is there a way to delete them as I already have a long list?
AAny suggestions welcome!

possibly just a “you” glitch @moulesy its not one I have encountered (yet)😁 But I think this first week has shown up a few little issues, I have an ongoing one that hopefully might be resolved. Can’t remember if someone else has had same as you🤔

Hi @moulesy I will report this to be investigated. With regards to notifications you can mark all as read if you are all caught up so it's not showing you have new notifications. Click on the notification bell and at the bottom right hand side of the notifications you can see the 'Mark All Read'. You can also go to your profile to select what you receive notifications for - turning them off by bell if you prefer and setting some up for email if that's your preference. Hope this helps. 😀

@Takethedogalong that discussion has been restored. 😀

Thank you👍

@DavidKlyne and @DSB I think this might be that both these posts went into spam for some reason. That shouldn't happen again for you.

It's somethometthat's happened to me too, and if I correct it at the start, it does it in the next word (I've left it in and not corrected it, it's supposed to say "something").
enaRow@RowRoR This is where I've tried to address Rowena, and that's how that came out.

@Bakers2 if you view Recent Discussions and sort by Recently commented, you get threads come up in chronological order of latest posts. A box showing NEW in red type tells you which threads have new posts. Unlike the old CT, you can’t see likes or, of course, reviews but it’s the nearest we'll get to the old system.

II too get it, as you can see, and it is a real pain in the "a**e" as far as I am concerned, as it takes ages to clear.😖

I probably missed someone mentioning how to do the following but how do you cut down the discussion categories as in Followed Items. There must be an easy way to do this as the front page of the forum where all the recent discussions are shown has "Show All" and "Followed Items".
Would be glad to know so I can cut out those discussions I'm not interested in. Thanks.

@Wherenext there is a way to do it but it’s long winded - at least the only way I’ve found is long winded. It involves visiting each category and opening every section you want to follow and following it. As I only wanted to ignore a couple of sections and didn’t want any notifications, it took quite a while. Then you set the front page to Followed Categories and that’s what it will do until it takes a fit in its head to default to All but it’s only a quick tap to change it back to Followed.

Thanks @Tinwheeler. If we get snowed in tomorrow I'll give it a go. 😀 You'd think there would be an easier way wouldn't you?

Using this method I can see the whole page and click next to start the next. However there is not the opportunity to go to previous page. Clicking on the back button on my phone takes be back to a previous thread not the page I was on before with the list.
Also the double arrows generally, on other webpages, take you to the earliest or latest pages. I'm finding it's only moving one page at a time in either direction.

that’s why I keep thinking "it must be me" 😄

it’s beyond my understanding, B2

@Wherenext have you found out how to follow and check your favourite threads? You can do it by Bookmarking them. Each thread title has a small flag icon as shown in the screen shot…
If you click on the little flag highlighted in the blue circle (ignore the circle with the three dots), it will turn red, and means it has been bookmarked. Your Bookmarked threads either can be accessed under MY Bookmarks below👇 Or simply click on your avatar. It keeps your favourite/followed threads in easy access. You can un click as well.
