Welcome to the New Club Together Forum!
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new forum platform for Club Together, the Club's online community!
Why We’re Launching the Forum
Originally launched in 2012, our forum has grown from strength to strength, becoming a cornerstone of our community. However, as technology has advanced over the years, we recognised the need for the latest forum software to support our members' growing needs. Our main aim with this new platform is to provide a more engaging and effective space for all of our members to communicate, share experiences, and support one another. At the Caravan and Motorhome Club, we deeply value community and believe in creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and included.
Key Improvements
- Improved Usability: Designed for seamless navigation, making it easier for members to engage and participate in discussions.
- Enhanced Photo Sharing: Members can now upload and share photos more easily, bringing their travel stories to life.
- 'Groups' Section: This new feature allows members to join groups based on shared interests, fostering positive connections.
Member Contributions
We couldn't have done this without you! Your feedback has been invaluable. Many of our existing members participated in testing the forum, providing insightful suggestions that helped us refine and improve the platform. We are grateful for your support and contributions that have played a crucial role in shaping this new community space.
Our Ongoing Commitment
We deeply appreciate each and every one of you for your ongoing support in maintaining a fun, friendly, and informative environment. Your enthusiasm and positivity are what makes Club Together such a special place. Looks really good and very fast. This may have been in the last version and I never noticed but what does 'create a QR code' do or rather what is it for? Apart from creating a QR code that is?

Its pretty rubbish so far…..
Forces you to change your password to get into Club Together and now can't get on to the main website with either my old password or the new one…!!
One day the club might get something right IT wise but probably not before I die….
Why oh why mess with something…??🤔

I have only had to change my password to take part in the new forum, I seem to be able to log into the main Club website with my previous log in details. Whether that will change overnight I will have to wait and see. My understanding is that the new forum is separate from the old CT, hence the need for a new log in.

Same here; I was asked to change my password, which I did and which was very straightforward. No problems getting into CT. Also tried to log into the main website, with my existing password, again no problem, it all worked fine.
I suspect there will be the inevitable teething problems, but this new version of CT is much better and faster too, IMHO of course!

No problems changing password for the new platform and the login to the main site has remained the same and is working fine, looks great btw.

help…… I want to post a photo, but don’t have the icon coming up in the bottom left of my leave a comment box. The only icons I have are a smiley face and a box with arrows in it. No mountain icon…….is it just me, as I see others have managed to post photos ok. Thank you.

I had about five attempts to log in but it told me my attempts had failed. Not a great start but, hey ho, here I am but not seeing any indication of 'moderator status''.

Can someone please tell me a simple way to get to the latest post in a topic which doesn't require going to the thread via its title and working my way through to the last post?

Sorry but the old one was easier to navigate, with one "problem" that has not been fixed. That is, when there are several pages of posts, I want to see the most recent post first, not have to go to the first page and then have to navigate to the most recent post(s), sometimes many pages in. I know there is a double arrow button to take you quickly through to the last page of comments, but why not display the most recent one (apart from the original one being the header post on every page, which I do agree with). Any regular user will be taken to the most recent and hopefully relevant posts, and anyone new to that discussion will soon see if the discussion has deviated into almost irrelevance as many seem to do, and be able to quickly go to the original post and quite probably the most meaningful initial responses.
At the moment it appears that even year old most recent posts have been added tonight about 6 pm, but that will obviously sort itself out over time.

Thanks but why is it necessary to go all around the houses instead of going directly to the most recent post as we could do easily in the old Latest Activity?
Also, what is this 'Level' business? I've had 4 mails promoting me to different levels and not even in a logical order.Edit 45 minutes later: I’m now finding I’m being taken to the last page of a thread which is better than the first.

For me the latest post is at the bottom of the first page that opens up when I select a category. The first posts are at the highest number on the top list. The arrows only take one to the previous or next page not to the first of last page necessarily.

@wh1nbrew if you go up to the title of the thread you are interested in, look to the right and you will see a small red white flag icon to the right. Click on this and it will bookmark the thread for you. Your Bookmarked threads are accessed by clicking on your avatar. It will bring up the latest couple of posts in the thread you are interested in. Couple of easy clicks once set up👍

I noticed no moderator indicator. Perhaps they haven't got round to it yet, probably still setting up the forum?

I just ignore them to be honest. Like the ease of posting and sizing photos though, that’s a real positive.

So far I have not found the site as instinctive as the previous version, but I suppose being so use to how that used to work it became second nature how to navigate it. I guess it will take a while before posting in this one is as "easy"!

Notifications via email should now be turned off so you shouldn't get anymore of these. Please let me know if you do. We will definitely listen to member's feedback regarding levels and can look to review the ways this works if needed.

Hi wh1nbew, thank you for your feedback and sorry that you feel the previous forum was easier to navigate.
When viewing a discussion, you'll notice that the URL is typically appended with #latest.
In this case, the #latest at the end of the URL refers to the "latest" or "most recent" page of the discussion for the person who is clicking on it.
For example:
- If person A has read everything, they'll land on the last page of comments
- If person B has read up to page 3, they'll be taken there
- If person C hasn't viewed the discussion, they'll be taken to the beginning of the thread
I hope this makes sense and will hopefully make it easier to navigate as you go.
