Had a great day with the grandchildren - played on the Wii, went to the cinema, lunch, played swingball, went to the park and then Dad came to fetch them.  They looked as tired as we felt at the end of the day.  Win, win.laughing

Sounds like a really lovely day milliehull. You'll sleep well tonight,  unless you nod off in front of the TV 😉

    Robsail have a great time.

We're back home, drizzle lasted all night with a few bursts and been on and off most of the day. Thoroughly enjoyed a very lazy time!

Arrived home this afternoon,  had a fab holiday,  smile hold up on the M 1  frown lorry had broken down in the roadworks, dropped van back at storage. Washing now all sorted into piles and machine is on.

Millie: your day sounds fun laughing bet the grandchildren aren't as tired as you undecided

All the talk of Mot's has reminded me I must book the Freelander in for next week.

    Happy Holidays everyone.

Glad you are back home safely Helen. Do you have your next trip planned?

Pleased you had a relaxing few days Bakers2 with mostly good weather.

We are off to Sandringham on Sunday if I can find time to get ready! It's a really busy week one way and another. We have booked tickets for The Cromer Pier Show one afternoon while we are there as it's only about an hour's run from Sandringham. We really enjoyed it when we went last year. It's great fun.

Have a good trip Millie.  Who is in the end of pier show?

We leave here in the morning, having a couple of nights at Thetford Forrest before heading home.

Most of the people who were in it last year which we enjoyed so much. OP. No-one really famous but excellent. Enjoy Thetford Forest.

We've got up to a rather dull, grey and wet morning here in Worthing. Just finished a whole pot of tea between the two of us and watched the first half hour of Good Morning Britain on ITV, with its discussion about another Royal baby on its way!

Time for breakfast now. Cereal followed by sausages on toast.

Dull and grey here in Brittany this morning, yesterday was fine as we travelled down to Carnac via Concarneau .  Stopped off for an hour or so to have a look around at the port area and old town, lovely little place.

Haven't had time yet to look around Carnac will do that this afternoon, bit of fresh milk required so will have to find a shop. Suprised  yesterday to find a number of sites had closed on the 2nd September. This one is quite nice though so shall take a note for future visits.

Think we are going to have to head South a fair bit, Autumn has set in here it would seem, 21c  so not chilly but dewy mornings so chairs outside damp. Think this area is a summer destination.

Good to hear from you Tammygirl. Autumn seems to have come early this year 😢. Love the area you're talking about and look forward to a revisit, it's been 13 or so years. Don't seem to get to Europe lately.

Grey and breezy here, washing out but one eye on the weather, haven't pegged out items that will tumble dry but there's not enough to warrant putting it on 😲. Routine chores here after few days away.

    Enjoy your day folks

That's much more comfortable, Tammygirl, than the 40 degrees you had on your previous trip!

We've got lunch cooking at the moment. Beef burgers with pulled pork, sauce and melted cheese topping.

In the meantime, I'm sitting in the relaxer in the awning. It's still grey and overcast but it looks like it's just starting to brighten up a little. There have been drizzly showers on and off.

Wow Malcolm you don't let hunger actually develop 😉. If I'd eaten your breakfast a snack would be sufficient for lunch.

Are you missing work? Are you managing to get out and walk as much as you would whilst working?

Keeps raining enough to be a nuisance, my washing is like a yo-yo but drying. Smells so much nicer for outdoor dry. Off to put the damp bits back out now. Keeps me fit lol 😂

What a horrible day again dull and misty with so far numerous showers of very wet drizzle passing through one minute there is a view next obscured by rain, even the new member is not interested in going out

Kj - if you've got time on your hands, just up the road from you is the JCB world HQ and they do tours, including breakfast or lunch ....

.....have to confess though I got a very "old fashioned look" from Mrs M when I suggested the idea when we stayed at Fieldhead Farm CL a couple of years back!  wink

We're up in the Scottish borders now. Lovely drive up through Langholm, seem to have left the rain behind, enjoying some sunshine, very mild. Another day and then we head further north. Love the borders, very quiet, just a few logging lorries on our journey. smile

I was hungry by the time lunch was ready, Bakers2, so I was glad of the cooked meal. After that, I slept for about two hours. I've just woken up and we're having a cup of tea with chocolate chip cookies.

The weather has been too wet to do any walking. I'm not missing work though as it will be there in 5 weeks time when I recover. For now I'm still getting pain in my hands.

Back in lovely Norfolk.  For a change we had a good trip up round the M25.  The Ospreys are overflying Thetford Forest.  Camera in for repair at ACS in Watton.  Now off to Wheeting Heath to see what's about

Packed up in the rain at Hebden Bridge, (what a super site!) and re-pitched at Royal Vale still in the rain.  Not bad as first time in 27yrs caravanning that we have suffered rain at both ends of our journey.

Malcolm - how are things going? Pain under control? Glad to see you are giving your other half driving lessons. Always useful, as you can now appreciate.

That reminds me of our stay at The National at Sandringham. Very different from other places we have visited with its flat countryside. We enjoyed visiting Sandringham House and gardens whilst there and also one other NT property in the area.
