Have a great time in South Wales - lovely places on The Gower and further on in Pembrokeshire. Three Cliffs Bay is one of our favourite spots over there. smile

Another sunny afternoon here at New England Bay, quite breezy though!  We've been very lucky with the weather so far, but looks as though it'll be very wet tomorrow!

Just contemplating Gower for route home. Means getting close to Swansea, but we might just do it! Easier route home for us is avoiding M4, but it does look a lovely area.laughing

She'll be driving it soon now. We just have to wait for her provisional licence to arrive in the post, KjellNN and Bakers2. At least the online application is done and fee paid!

Moved up to a CL just outside Salisbury.  Visited the the Cathedral and sat and listened to a choir practicing which was very good, followed that with a walk around Figsbury Hill.  Of course when I was stationed in the area in the 1960/70s I wasn't interested in Architecture or archeology laughing

A glorious day! A respite centre for children with cancer was opened by Gavin Hastings just up the road from the boat club. So some of us helped by giving boat rides to some of the people from the club to their Respite centre that has a pier giving access to the loch. We hope to have a continuing relationship with the group.

It's been a nice sunny day here with mostly blue sky and very little cloud. However, the sun is setting now as I type this and more clouds seem to be gathering. We sat outside the awning for a while but inside now as it's getting a little chilly.

Wonderful evening tonight. We went to the newly re-opened Broadway Theatre in Peterborough to  see the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Peterborough Choirs perform their Film Gala night. Such a treat. I hope the theatre thrives under their new management.

Good weather and good journey today down to Bryars Farm CL near Preston.   Tomorrow we continue to Uttoxeter.

Nice CL, good access, gravel pitch, flat too.  Only drawback is the nearby railway line.  Lots of trains passing this evening.

It was the same situation when we stayed on Lancing Fruit Farm CL. It was right next to the railway line. There were trains every few minutes and at night too.

Just listening to Tomasz Shafernacker saying it's going to be "a bit grey and damp" in parts of the south west this morning.......

......well, Tomasz, I've got news for you - it's been coming down in stair rods for the past couple of hours, the paths around the site are under water and the field looks like a duck pond! yell

Just attempted to take the dogs out for a spin round the block - they looked at me as if I was mad, rolled over and went back to sleep - maybe they've got the right idea! smile

It's great to get family together for special celebrations isn't it, brue. We did the same recently for Dad's upcoming 91st birthday.

Have a great time "oop nawth" - you might not need all those woolies though - the aforementioned Mr Shafernacker said there's a combination of warm air from the south and also fro the Atlantic which might give temperatures up to 32° later in the week, though this was just after his "a bit grey and damp" comment for this morning. Still, it's always nice to get away, whatever the weather. smile

Lovely family time brue. Sadly packing up in the rain isn't nice but hopefully the weather will improve for your trip.

Sorry to hear it's wet and worse in he southwest 😲.  Still dry and warm ish in the east but very cloudy. Breakfast outside whilst we can 😉.

Moulesy your seem to have very sensible dogs!

JVB people watching is fascinating isn't it?

Malcolm glad you're managing a shower. Activities are going to be interesting to say the least for a while! But there's usually a work around.

Caught the single carriage train into Sudbury yesterday. Still a lovely market town. Market on, craft fair in the church, lovely lunch in Huffers, nice walk to the Water Meadows. Will probably take one of the laminated maps from the information cabin and explore locally today.

    Enjoy your day folks.

We had chicken and chips for lunch in the caravan accompanied by cauliflower and mange tout. No chance to sit out today as there were showers, grey sky and a little chilly. However, I did spend some time resting in the relaxer in the awning.

The kettle's on now for some tea.

The kettle's just boiled. Now just waiting for it to brew.

There's certainly been enough rain this summer to keep the grass outside our awning a lush green.

A lot of caravans and motorhomes left this morning so the site is looking much emptier now. It was full all through the Bank holiday weekend.

Beautiful in South Yorks yesterday and enjoyed a walk in T shirt and shorts. Today it's cold with a leaden grey sky and a cold wind. Suspect the central heating will be on tonight!

But... caravan out again in 6 days time - can't wait. Possibly to Whitby.

Still warm enough to sit outside reading in shorts and t-shirt although the breeze has picked up, since not managing to break through but it's position is visible. We are being extremely lazy and recharging our batteries.

Hope you're enjoying yourselves, whatever form of amusement you've chosen. Not sure it will be comfortable to sit out for the test if the afternoon 😔. We have popped the fire on in the evenings just to make it cosy as they've been rather chilly especially after the heat the sun offered!

Logging in got the road signs a couple of times, but when I went to a thread I was logged in. Oh the joys 😂😂

Think we have the same weather as M, been raining since the early hour's with gusts of wind, site had lots of puddles earlier but as it's easing off they are going. Forecast is it should have passed over by late afternoon, so not long now M.

Having a quiet day due to the weather and the fact we had a late night last night. We met a lovely couple from UK on the next pitch to us and hit it off. Several glasses of wine and much laughter made for a late start this morning, going to watch the GP later on.

Bruce,  enjoy your trip North, hope it's not to rubbish weather.
