B2, if I remember correctly Malcolm's seasonal pitch is on a no facilities site?

At least his wife will be able to wash and hose him down in their caravan shower!

Put big plastic bags secured with rubber bands over your plastered/bandaged bits when in the shower Malcolm, and hold them up so the water does not run inside anything......I speak from experience!

Good to hear that you have your 2 day absence sorted.

Rest those fingers too, it will let the rest of you heal more quickly.

And  now  it's  MY  Turn  to  savage  the  N H S yell --  purely from  a  Client's  viewpoint  of  course  wink.

Short  drive  into  the  Village,  did  a  very  little  shopping  but  firstly  a  trip  to  Surgery  to  book  1) blood  test

    2)  followup  appointment  with  Specialist  Nurse  ( as  if  they  aren't  All  Specialists  now  ! )**

    3)  then  booked  Review  with  Himself  !!

    4)  Then  round  to  Specthingummys  to  book  a  Retinopathy  scan.  --  expected  to  be  at  the  back  of  the  queue  but  no  --  2 o'clock  Monday  and,  mark  this,  if  I  had  not  driven  into  town,  it  could  have  been  done  there  &  then  !!

    A  Rubbish  N H S,  National  Rubbish  Service  ??

Not  where  Brian  A B M  is  concerned  --  the  best  thing  ever  even  better  than  sliced  bread.  And  don't  criticise  'em  in  my  hearing  either,  retribution  follows  fast  !!

Today must be our turn for summer......great day with sun, blue sky and little fluffy clouds.

OH has been washing everything in sight, using our solar power.....towels from the bathroom, all our bedding, first lot of clothes we need with us too.....so only one or two small loads to do tomorrow.

Car all packed as far as possible today, van too.  Tomorrow we will pack the clothes and food.

Some decent weather makes things so much easier!

Have tried to book a CL instead of Tewkesbury Club site, but no reply as yet to e mail, quite frustrating.  If we are to cancel the Club site we need to do it before we arrive in Uttoxeter on Sunday, or we will get our knuckles rapped!

That's right, KjellNN and B2 it's a basic facility site, no toilet block. I've ordered some plastic bandage covers through product details given to me at the hospital called Limbo Waterproof Protectors. They will be delivered tomorrow. My cousin is looking out in the post for the delivery and said that as I can't drive, he'll bring them over to us at the club site in his car.

The surgery is going to contact the hospital to request details so that a medical certificate can be provided for work. The boss there was a little surprised about the 6 weeks absence needed but wished me a speedy recovery and said 'no worries!'

I just got a phone call from the surgery to say that they have had confirmation from Worthing Hospital of the 6 weeks required for recovery so that the doctor can complete the medical certificate for work.

Oh I typed too soon.  Heavy shower sent us indoors. But cleared as quickly as it arrived 😃 and we're now sitting out enjoying the sun again, though not as warm as it was 😢 but still tshirts and shorts.

Malcolm be a nice change to be in a hotel.

Yes, there's 24 hour room service there! Also the room has an ensuite bathroom with a bath tub. So my wife has just gone to Tesco to buy some bubble bath soak! It will feel lovely to have a proper soak in a bath instead of the caravan shower! It's been a long time since I had that! Total price £230 for two nights for the two of us, with breakfast included.

😲😲😲 Wow. Jolly expensive bath, make the most of it.

I do hope you recover quickly as it seems very costly and not just in the wallet!

A very busy day today, so we never got to check the stock on our rented land till this evening. But it made for a good photo. And if you look over to the left edge, you might just be able to work out where it is.

So wave next time you drive by.

Kjell, Did you have a look at Cherry Tree Cottage at York? I think that the site would suit you.

If you're stuck for a CL near Tewksbury try The Willows, No.1717 in the site direcotry. It's less than 3 mls from Junct 1 on the M50 towards Worcester.

Yes, looked at the Willows, saw you had reviewed it   Looks good.

Only 2 hardstandings so decided to try Herberts Field as they have 5 HSs,  but if they do not reply by tomorrow we will look at the alternatives.

Just wish all CLs had  e mail booking, and that they replied promptly!!

Well that's the Howgills in the background. The only reservoir I can think of with that view is Killington Lake.

Beautiful picture and view Goldie, now that Nellie has solved the mystery I realise where it is. We'll be travelling past soon, always look forward to the M6 bit before Tebay and the hills. I see some of them are being re-forested so I expect that motorway view will change?

Beautiful view Goldie 😃. My favourite part of M6

Another glorious start to the day here on our CL. Breakfast outside and rather hot! My phone saying 30c in the full sun at 0947 😲😲. Torn between sitting in the sun and reading and walking to catch the train for a mooch about Sudbury. Oh heck were on a few days R&R and who knows how many more days will be like this?

Photos are just to prove I'm telling the truth 😉. Visit sunny Essex, very diverse county, driest county you know it makes sense!

Today's arrival has already arrived good job the motorhome left earlier 😉.

    Enjoy your day folks.

Kjell, if your stay is a short one, if HS at the Willows are taken, then they can do a HS pitch in front of the house. They did this for us when we overnighted here a few years ago. Close to facilities, and quiet. It's a nice CL, lovely owners. Might be worth a phone call if nothing else turns up. Obviously if your stay is longer, then it might not suit.

I've lost the plot a bit about why Kj is looking at alternatives to Tewkesbury but there is also a nice commercial site, Tudor Farm, at Slimbridge with hardstandings, not cheap but another possibility as it's fairly close to the M5. Handy for for seeing all the wildfowl.

The motorhome is in for it's first cab service today, took it in for 8am this morning.

Not been on here for a while since the new website as they altered the way topics come up on the iPad which drives me nuts. It was so much easier to come here with the old website. Anyway, on my laptop today and it seems much easier to use smile

How is everyone, well I trust? All had a good summer? We got down to Bristol site the week in July that it was 30 degrees +, fantastic place!

The new website is driving quite a few of us nuts Hallsontour. Quite a few of the regulars seem to have disappeared. Nice to see you on here. Glad you enjoyed Bristol.
