We are just home after a nice weekend at Ayr Craigie CC we went to the Scottish Air Show yesterday which was very good and the weather was decent too so we could see all the planes. My sister and her family joined us with their caravan so that was good. Its been pouring here most of the day so that meant packing up in the rain this morning. Think we will go away next weekend too but not sure where yet

We've had lots of offers of help from people all over the site especially the nice couple next door. They left this morning. He said he is in his eighties and still working doing deliveries for an agency. He has driven juggernauts so towing a caravan is a piece of cake for him! We met someone else on site who was 86 and still caravanning. He said his brother was still caravanning at the age of 89! So I guess there's hope for me yet!

Tesco are offering double points if you pay for your shopping using their debit card. So I went online to open a new current account through Tesco Bank. They are also offering 3 per cent AER on their current account provided you pay in a minimum of £750 per month and you have three direct debits on the account. It seems a good deal for me as I will be able to accumulate a lot more points than through the credit card. I've also applied to have the card linked to my points account.

We stayed there, Francis, when we visited Scotland in June. We had nice weather then. From the site you can easily get to the footpath that goes past the University college campus and on to the riverside path that takes you past three bridges to get to the town centre. One of the bridges was a railway bridge, another a pedestrian footbridge and the third a road bridge.

We enjoyed doing that walk especially as there were plenty of benches to sit on if you needed a rest.

We also had a great day out visiting a National Trust property in that area.

It's still drizzling here and very grey and overcast.  Just about to have another cup of tea now.

We have nine weeks left from tomorrow before our seasonal pitch comes to an end. After that, the plan is to spend 28 days at Lancing Fruit Farm CL and then about two and a half weeks at either Charmill Cottage CS or the Long Furlong CL before our two week holiday at Baltic Wharf Club site in Bristol for Christmas and New Year. Then back to Lancing Fruit Farm for another 28 days. After that our plans are uncertain as this would depend on whether we can get another seasonal pitch here for next year.

It's not just rain here but windy too. Wind and rain are the worst kind of weather for putting up or taking down awnings, so not easy for anyone arriving here this afternoon.

Well the rain's reached Essex.  Chilly 16c now but wind has dropped so I expect it'll be slow moving.

I just watched the repeat of the first episode of the new Victoria series on ITV. I missed it last Sunday because of being at work. So now an opportunity to catch up!

If I can stay awake, I'll be watching the second episode tonight at 9p.m.

You better make the most of enjoying the cooler and more comfortable weather, Bakers2. The forecast says another scorcher is on its way with soaring temperatures for the rest of September. When that happens, I'll be glad of the aircon! Be prepared!

Bakers if the rain goes on for as long as here in Dorset you will wake up to it tomorrow, as it started during last night and is still raining now ,

Woke to wind and rain this morning.  Good journey to Uttoxeter, a little slow on the M6 in places.

Site here is quite full.  Have borrowed cone from warden to mark our pitch while we take he van to Truma.  Started raining again late afternoon.

I thought I had ordered good weather for this trip!

Wow Oneputt that really is early. Do they know something we don't?

Yes Rob sail English schools go back this week, summer holidays over 😢. Autumn ones commenced 😆. Evenings definitely drawing in!

    Milliehull that concert sounded lovely.

Safe trip home helenandtrevor delighted you've had a good holiday with decent weather.

So far the rain hasn't come to anything, just a few spots not enough to call a shower, several times. Will it be a wet night? Who knows?  I like snuggling down for the night to the sound of rain on the van roof.

That CL sounds a good one, Kjell. Did the noise from the trains go on through the night and upset your sleep?

We watched the last part of the X Factor and then the second episode of the new Victoria series on ITV. It was good to watch, the only annoying bit was when the programme keeps getting interrupted for the commercial breaks.
