Not too bad, redface. Pain more or less under control with the Ibuprofen.

My wife will need to receive her provisional licence first. Shouldn't take too long now.

It's raining again here. Anyhow, we plan to watch a movie on Film4 this evening called ''The Madness of King George III." It's on at 18:50. One advantage of being off work is that I get to see some TV!

Our post has just arrived 6.44pm and we're in a town area, don't know how the rural areas get on. 😲. Wasn't anything exciting .

Been breezy, warm bordering on humid if that's not a contradiction in terms! All washing dried outside, including thick towels, only had to get in a couple of times as rain threatened. All ironed and folded now 😇. Time to think about dinner we have sausages that need using, not something we have in our meals so probably plain and boring with baked beans and new potatoes. I'll use the fruit in the bowl for a swift fruit salad desert.

Oneputt I don't think I'd recognise an osprey,  hope you've had a fruitful afternoon.

Hopefully that'll be your only rain and you can enjoy some more pleasant weather. Well at least for a while 😉. Enjoy

B2, Ospreys are American aircraft which can swivel their 2 engines to transition into helicopters, noisy blighters when they do that.  Just google it.

Plenty of birds at Wheeting Heath and Lakenheath Fen

Next trip probably October,  just got to decide where.

Enjoy Sandringham, and the pier show, it's not a site we have used, may be an idea for a winter break, if I have any holiday left.undecided

Back to work after the holiday? Ah yes, I remember that! wink (Soz!)

What did you think of The Packhorse by the way, Helen? Did you eat there at all?

Hope you had enough holiday left for another break. I don't think Sandringham is a good idea for you, someone has lost a dog very quickly and their other two very poorly very recently 😲, seasonal canine disorder.

Glad you had a decent break shame about the amount of work you've returned too. That I don't miss in the least 😉

Really liked the Packhorse Inn, great local beer, thanks for the recommendation Moulesy.  We stopped off mid way on our walk so only managed a sandwich but the menu looked very good. Bar staff were really friendly too. smile

Currently sitting with ice pack on my left knee frown fell off my bike this afternoon on our way back from a lovely ride. Silly really I got to close to OH 's back wheel and clipped it, went over the handle bars and landed on my knee. Managed to cycle back no problem but it's bruised and stiffening up now.

We will move on again tomorrow so by the next day I should be fit to ride again. Felt a right twit, luckily no damage to bike or OH.

BB, we are right behind you, next stop probably north of La  Rochelle  thinking of giving Re a miss and head for the sun.

Glad bike and OH ok 😉. Be good to have a rest day tomorrow. Speedy recovery.

    Safe travels

I am always amazed by how many people go there with dogs as SCD has been prevelant in the area for some years. It doesn't affect us as we dont have a dog now.

That's what we like about ours. Looked in a couple of the 2018 models today and weren't impressed with the size of the toilet comp. with the newer layouts. The only one we liked was a Sterling Elite but it's heavier than the van we have at the moment and well above the 85% level for the car. Another thing, Bailey Unicorn no longer have a new Madrid version for 2018.yell

We don't have a regular post-person frown we are on the overtime round and have been for years.  We have a super young lady Thursday and Fridays, but the rest of the week it's pot luck.

Apparently according to the review and a thread somewhere on here it's not prominent on the Club page, so unless you are aware you may not delve deep enough. I believe reviewer said there is a new dog walk but they can't say it's safe.  So on the face of it, I haven't checked but taken what the reviewer said on face value, you'd have to really dig about.  Seems crazy to me not to make it prominent.  We took son's dog there a few years ago, blissfully ignorant and lucky.  Dog was poorly, vet appointment made for next day but died before it made it to the vet.  Very sad.
