My goodness, you're not having the best of years, are you? Glad to hear that the hospital is treating you well and hope that you're back home soon. I think it a bit late to tell you to take care!!

You are getting some lucky weather. Last night we had a foretaste of what’s expected this evening.
That was yesterday, tda!! It started to rain about 1:00 in the night and got really heavy until 8:00 when it slacked off enough to get out for our morning walk, with brolly, and finally stopped at 9:30. Fortunately we didn't have any of the gales forecast. By 9:45 the sun was out and we got packed up dry and away, arriving at our latest Cl in brilliant, hot sunshine. We managed a walk after lunch around the Cardoness estate but it's been poring down most of the evening, with the odd crash of thunder and flash of lightning.

Goodness me WN, sounds very painful. Best wishes for a swift and full recovery.
We took to the high Moors today in Jeep, namely the road up via Okehampton Camp. I got out briefly to take a photograph but was almost taken of my feet and instantly deluged! We found candles waiting for us back at our cottage, the electric had been off briefly, but was back on, and thankfully has stayed on. Let’s just say we are having an adventure this holiday. I think we last saw the sun briefly on Wednesday, but that was over in Cornwall......😁

Morning folks. Thank you for your kind wishes
You don't get much sleep here.Sitting watching everyone eat Brekkie without being allowed myself. Exciting, fun packed day in store. A Chest X-Ray with the bonus of maybe having another CT scan (here's hoping), then if the catheter has done its work it might be extracted. If only every day was this exciting.☺
Oh, hang on a second. Mrs WN says she'll be bringing MiL in to visit.🤗
Hope whatever you are up to today is a tad more enjoyable.

Goodness WN that sounds dreadful and terribly painful. I hope the Xray shows a good result and that you are soon in less pain. Take care and best wishes.
We had some cracking thunderstorms yesterday afternoon and evening with absolutely torrential rain. Windy all night and still very windy today although dry and brightening up.
Take care and keep safe folks.

Well you've really gone to town this time Wherenext, what a way to get yourself off gardening duties...but seriously I hope the day goes better than previously and you start to feel a lot more comfortable. Very best wishes for a good recovery from me too.
We've had prolonged stormy weather, all through the night and still going just now. Must have been awful for people camping on the coast, I think warnings went out yesterday.
TDA, glad to hear you have enjoyed your Dartmoor stay. When you mentioned the Okehampton Camp that is a familiar spot for families in the SW where the youngsters start and finish the Ten Tors. It's a great relief for parents to see them emerging from the moors on the last stretch. It's a very bleak spot in bad weather but the army are thankfully there to help!

Wherenext sounds incredibly painful. Curious as to why you're not having breakfast? You are right our NHS is brilliant especially on the emergency front, there's the odd bit of 'care' lacking on the ward from a few members of staff but generally great, that includes the cleaners and housekeepers who provide equally valuable contributions. As you know we've had a goodly share of care this year, I'm wondering if we ever contributed enough to cover the costs? Wishing you a speedy recovery, but you make sure you rest up and recover fully before attempting too much.
Very BREEZY here now, few beefy showers, including as son walked back last night, absolutely soaked doesnt really cover it! But suns out inbetween.
Wherever you are whatever you're doing stay safe!
Ps Ipswich hospital was hit by the BIG blackout last night and one of their emergency generators didn't fire up 😱 - bet those working in the ITU and similar wards had a few flutters! We weren't affected at all thankfully.

Glorious day here at Strathclyde Park. We were told to expect heavy rain but we got up this morning to bright sunshine and it’s very warm. I went out a cycle this morning out to the stately home about 5 miles from the site and then done a couple of laps of the country park which was very busy a lot of people out in canoes in the lake. Planning on just having a relaxing day today. Hope everyone else has a nice day.
Wishing WN a speedy recovery

Thanks once again for your good wishes.
Bakers, no breakfast as I was scheduled for chest x-ray. This showed that there was still some blood that needs draining so it will be a repeat tomorrow. Mrs WN and MiL duly arrived to find me being urgently hooked up to a drip. A bit of a shock for them but it was straightfoward as my BP had dropped too far. Felt a lot better later on as Mrs WN managed to give me a body and hair wash. Might be a bit too much info for some.😁

Windy day here in Norfolk but has been very warm again.
Took this last night while waiting for fish and chip.

Windy and at times very wet here in Yorkshire (near Otley) managed some time in the garden recycling wooden pallets into a temporary wood store adjacent to back door as if this weather continues fires will be back in fashion. OH continued with painting our bedroom before starting stairs and landing next week

It’s a SUncamp 280 it’s one you just put through the awning rail so not permanently fitted to the van but we are very impressed with it. It cost £85 and only took us 10 mins to put up last night and also comes in a very compact little bag so easy to store. We are sitting under it now there was a thunderstorm and torrential rain a few mins ago and we sat out and are bone dry. Highly recommended

We’ve lit the stove in our Dartmoor cottage each night Hugh. Thousand feet above sea level mind! I just have to get togged up properly to refill log basket in between rainstorms😁

Who ever said going to hospital wasn't fun!!
You certainly don't do things by half, WN, do you?. Hope that tomorrow's x-ray gives a positive result and that you are soon on the mend.
