Seem to have been on the go since I got up soon after 7am ๐ฏ.
Car went for its first service, all good it's only done just over 5000 miles so wasnt expecting anything less. Took a courtesy car as booked in when prompted by the dealer a couple of months ago, won't do so again. It was recommended that we had a fuel additive, additional cost, so I agreed not sure it was warranted, it was given a wash and allegedly vac'd free of charge. Had to go back as I needed help to set a display they hadnt left as it was ๐ค. Pointed out it hadnt been vac'd - only the footwells was the response! She came and set the display and agreed not vac'd so took it off and did it. Wasn't overly impressed with the expensive wash either, still had cobweb on the wing mirror and another in the boot ๐ฏ. Still need to ensure warranty is kept up.
Did food shopping, bumped into folk we've not seen for ages. Lovely to catch up but all takes time. It never happens when you're at a lose end! Got an email to say car ready, so collected after unpacking and lunch. Prepared a huge bolognese ready for tomorrow, son and daughter in law plus granddog coming no idea on arrangements as yet ๐๐ they have wedding on Wednesday so we're B&B - did learn son and dog probably staying until Saturday as DIL preparing for harvest ๐ฏ ! Got enough left over for 5 dinners to freeze so result. Out for a walk with OH back to prepare dinner, so now chilling watching Wimbledon.
HelenandTrevor have a great time. That applies to all those lucky enough to be getting away.
Brue glad your MH repairs going well, hopefully ours will next month.
However you spent your day I hope you enjoyed it ๐

Cromer on traveller alerts day car park height barriers being closed, this, site has been advised
they arrived on the playing field in my mums village a couple of weeks ago. Never known them disbursed so fast, arrived Wednesday gone Sunday. The parish councillor was on it in a flash. Apparently even the rubbish was left in bags!!!

I seem to remember that the Travellers targeted Cromer last year JVB and not only caused mayhem in the town but also got onto the Seacroft site and targeted The Wanderers bar and restaurant so I hope the staff are on the case. Height barriers dont seem to be a problem to the travellers - they just destroy them ๐ฑ
Gosh you have had a busy day Bakers2. Doesn't it make you realise that you have to keep your eye on people. It seems they will try to get away with as little as possible unless you watch them.โน Hope you have a lovely time with your son, DIL and grand-dog.
I have finally finished the holiday washing and ironing and given the downstairs of the house a really good blitz. Had a message from daughter to say could we meet for a coffee in her lunch break as we hadnt seen each other since before our holiday. So got changed and met her in the Marriot Hotel near her office and had a lovely relaxing catch up ๐ Back to Cathedral Welcomer duty tomorrow and OH starts his new role as a Volunteer Gardener there.

Glad to hear that you got a good result from the hospital and were well treated too, OP.
You certainly have been busy B2. You deserves a large glass of your favourite tipple this evening and to put your feet up.
Good to hear the repair to the M/H's roof appears to be going to plan, brue.
Hope that the weather stays fine for your OH's gardening at the cathedral tomorrow, millie.
Sounds as if you've had an enjoyable trip, tda. The gardens at Sewerby Hall must have picked up in the last week of so as WN was saying he was disappointed in them when they visited.
We had another warm dry day, although without any proper sunshine. After visit to the tip I managed to get a partial repair done on the damaged wing mirror, which should do until I take the car in for it's service. I then cleaned the car when I got home, so that's another job in the bag. We have had a few spots of rain, but are hoping for a lot more tonight as the plants in garden certainly need it.

Good luck for Mr.H tomorrow.
My back feels like the Welsh rugby team have run straight over me! Give me a 10 mile walk any day.Gardening.
Digging up things that shouldn't be where they were. Mrs.WN decided to rearrange things a little and thin out some rapacious Grandma's Bonnets that have taken over a border, then dig up the Camellia that isn't doing too well in the border and replant it in a large pot, that of course needed emptying first. How does that TammyGirl do it?
Day off tomorrow. Having lunch with my brother who is holidaying in Shropshire so we're meeting halfway at a pub. Booked a fairly lateish one so that we'll be able to tarry over a coffee or two.
Have to feel cheated with Sewerby Ttda. When we called there in June they had ripped out all of the winter plants but hadn't replanted anything at the time of our visit. It was bare. Mind you we had had a decent walk so the day wasn't ruined. Still, glad you enjoyed it.

Hope you get a good Welcome ABM ๐

Because I love it,
always happiest when in the garden. Strange I can work all day in the garden but a 10 mile walk ..................
Today I scarified one of the lawns, some of the moss has died off and the weeds and clover have all gone. Lawn now looking pretty bald, so spread some soil over it and a box of grass seed, gave it a little sprinkle with water (supposed to rain tonight) with a bit of luck it will grow.
OH now finished the decking boards, facing boards will be done later as we are going to put up 2 end panels first and a new roof.
Managed to get to the recycle centre late afternoon with 13 bins and sacks of garden rubbish, not finished yet as some bushes and 1 of the hedges still need a tidy up. I've also got a huge Montana Clematis to cut right back and the trellis and arch to stain. If we can get it all done by the end of the month then August will be a breeze
might even manage a few days away in the van

Replaced the utility room flooring with lino tiles yesterday. Can't believe how stiff and knackered I feel this morning. Must be getting old.

I am happiest out in the garden as well TG. Usually have to be called in in Summer! I was wondering how your Care Home Garden project was coming along?
Came home from latest short trip with four new plants, couple for shade, couple for a sunny spot...... if anyone finds themselves near Sewerby Hall, Bridlington, can highly recommend plant sales there. Excellent choices, some more unusual plants and very very good value for money. Nothing dearer than ยฃ4.50 per large pot!๐

Had a quick look in it on Sunday when there
due to the awful weather they have had here, it looks like no one has been out there. The weeds are all back in the flagstones and gravel areas. Now my garden has been tamed again and the care home now back open, I'm hoping to get there and do some tidying once it stops raining. I've got quiet a few plants I could take there once big enough, they are still in smallish pots just now.
Miserable, horrible, cold, wet day
Went and did some food shopping this morning, came home and put the heating back on. Think I might just stand and do some ironing at least that will warm me up.

Thanks for the update TG, this wet and warm weather is terrible for getting weeds flourishing. One of the plants I bought yesterday is confirmed to be a bit of a tyrant, likes to spread and flourish. Hope I have got it tamed in a pot though.๐ค

Had my usual visit to Aged Sister for a chat { NO Shopping - would you believe it } when her eldest son turned up with Tilly, the barmy whippet in tow. He's given me ideas about helping his cousin who is going thro' a seriously bad time at present so I'll do some research on line later. No no it wasn't the whippet that gave me the ideas
honest.
Any way I'll clear off for a while & copy TG and finish the ironing, tara - play nicely please

Back home after a lovely long lunch with Bro and SIL. Had a great catch up with their lives and what my niece and nephew are up to. Time flies so quickly and we're not big phone chatterers. We usually pop in to see them if catching the ferry from Portsmouth so hopefully will see them all again at the end of next month.
Nothing much else happening and fine rain set in.

OH got on fine with his volunteer gardening at the Cathedral this morning. He is on duty with a lady volunteer and they have responsibility for the garden behind the Visitor Centre. Lots of clearing to do before they can start planning but he is enjoying the challenge. As for me on Welcoming duty..........today was the day for tuning the organ. Deep joy ๐ฉ

Turned up at Cherry Cottage (near Sherborne) earlier today. Weโd took a wrong turn (Satnav eh?) but found it easily enough. It was quite hot/muggy, but thankfully easing off a bit now. The site itself is in a lovely spot, with glimpses of local wooded hills. Good pitch sizes, and all very neat and tidy. Iโll probably post a more fulsome review later, fwiw. Probably going to visit Minterne Gardens tomorrow, following an earlier recommendation ๐

Glad your OH enjoyed his volunteer gardening. Not quite sure what to say about your experience milliehull ๐๐๐ or ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ.
Another warm dry day here rather overcast and a tad muggy at times. Garden is wilting again ๐ฒ.
Had a lovely clean house when the cleaner left as son and grand-dog arrived. Daughter in law had last minute offer of helicopter ride over her Farm so left much later than son. Caught up with DIL and bride to be when they parked outside to walk into town to get their nails done and some food, they will return to collect car and quick catch up before they go back to sleep at the wedding venue. Dog checked out visitors (cats, squirrels and hedgehogs) to the garden via all the flowerbeds and has deposited much over the floors.......... and she is covered in seeds.
Really lovely to have other occupants in the house ๐. Glad others have had decent days.

Millie, organ tuning! I have to keep well away when our piano tuner comes. After that we usually have a chat about holidays, it relieves some of the twanging in my ears.
You sound as though you're enjoying seeing your visitors B2, although thinking we were free we've got our visiting dog for a night. Daughter and friends from Scotland (the ones who run a little M/H park near Ardfern) are off for a night out.
We did manage a nice visit out this most morning, to the medieval Cothay Manor and gardens west of Wellington. Really lovely ancient place on the river Tone. Quaint is the word too, the owner was doing the coffees and her Labrador was relaxing in the yard. We spoke to a group of Australians at the end of a two week European garden tour, they were "all gardened out" with aching knees and tales of coach breakdowns in 40C etc. They had one more garden to go before Gatwick, I bet it was Stourhead which would have nicely finished off their legs !!

Gosh you lot have been busy
had lots to catch up with.
Nellie yes we are using the no frills Ilfracombe site.
CY. We did call in the Blue Ball for a drink, after our walk we had the choice of uphill to the car park or downhill to the pub
Yesterday we had a lovely day at Heddon Valley and a walk to Heddons Mouth. another sunny warm day today, so spent the day on Exmoor, pony spotting. Also took in Tarr steps and Dulverton, before heading back over the moor.

Last sleep before heading home, after our tour which started here on the 15th May not good forecast for grass/meadow mowing still it will mean a longer "rest "before getting stuck in,but must get it done before our next trip to FM in a week

Sounds like a grand day out H&T.Weather forecast looks good for your end of the country for the next couple of day at least.
Cothay Manor and gardens looks a lovely spot, brue. Must add it to the ever growing list of places to visit sometime.
Visitors have certainly been the order of the day for you, B2 lad that you had an enjoyable time.
Morning shopping too for us, TG after OH's BP check, which was a little up, but it always is when she goes to see the nurse. However she's to go back next week for a further check and blood test & we'll see what that shows. We've had our first rain since we came home, stating off as fine drizzle but it did manage to develop over lunchtime but only lasted a couple of hours so not enough really for the garden. Got some bargain plants from Morrisons this morning, a tray of 4 Geraniums and one of 4 Begonias at 20p per tray. Left them out in the rain and they've perked up nicely so planted out this evening. Just need another downpour now,

Busy day to day. Took motorhome to dealer to have spare wheel and carrier fitted, only four months after we collected the motorhome, it was ordered last November!!! When we got home I bit the bullet and washed the car as it was covered in dust and muck having sat on the drive for three weeks. Final important action of the day was to order myself a new Smart Phone. It replaces one that is about four years old and works perfectly well but not really enough memory for what I need and the I am seeming to have to charge the old one more and more. I know there are mixed feelings on here about Smart Phones but I have to say I am using mine more and more whilst we are away. Not only for things like online banking and Apps that help me from anything from finding a TV transmitter to one finding a bus but I also use it as a WiFi hotspot. Hopefully should arrive tomorrow. It is a mid range one as I don't see the point of spending ยฃ800 on a phone!!!
