No problem, TDA.
Yes, the car park can accommodate MHs. Check out The Willows car park on Google.

Sounds as if this good weather has brought the holidaymakers out in force down south, Glad really that we've given this weekend a miss. Still we'll be setting off on Thursday so hopefully everyone else will be back home and the sites/sights will be much quieter, just as we like them.

Bike ride and walk sound like fun, WN. It is great to be able to get out and about in such fine weather.
Good to hear that you've got your cottage trips booked, tda, you're well advanced with your summer holidays by the looks of it.
It would seem that they are the same group that were rallying at Monturpie when we were there last year, Kjell. I must admit that I didn't ask if there is a rally booked for the time we're there in June, hopefully there.

Firstly commiserations to anyone caught in the rain in Spain. We bathed in a balmy 22C so went to North Norfolk in Mrs Ones car with the roof down. Great afternoon and evening bird watching before eating out prior to returning home๐๐ฆ๐๐บ

Spent a couple of hours hemming some curtains that I bought in the charity shop for ยฃ4. They are to go in the cab area in hope of reducing the cold spot at the front of the van. Just have to sew all the little hooks on now.

Yorkshire is baking and sadly burning at the moment. Tinder dry up here, hence Ilkley Moor ablaze. Just hope folks everywhere are careful with fire risks.
Breakfast on patio for us, dog walk, then sorting out dinner for this evening.
Pleased to have got our next big holidays sorted Nellie, but hoping to do some shorter tours in MH. Cotswold gardens and NT properties are high on my list for early July. I think you have mentioned a nice CL close to Hidcote and Kiftsgate to us previously, but I cannot recall name, Abbey something I think.....๐

Afternoon
That'll be me then!!! Started raining Thursday night and hasn't stopped since. We've had 120 mm so far. Typical as we start our journey back to Cornwall on Tuesday so hope that the main routes are passable. Looking forward to getting back into it, we're in north Cornwall this year.

Lovely day here today so I gave my classic Merc a wash and clean out ready for it going back on the road on May 1st ready for the show season starting. There are a few little jobs needing done so I should be kept busy over the next week or so

It's been a bit too warm here today, 24C again, not enough leaves out on the trees to help with the shade, but goodness me it's been a real treat to have some good weather!
We did a very early walk this morning, just a few cyclists out and about.
Have to do some family cooking now, so that's the end of my do nothing much day!
PS it's going to be a horrible shock when the temperature drops but at least a lot of people in the UK have had a very nice Easter, especially if away in their vans.
Hope JK has a safe journey.

We'll know who to blame for bringing the rain with him. ๐

Up and out early this morning. Parked at Topsham and cycled over to the West side of the Exe estuary and ended up having a cup of tea at Dawlish Warren. Hasn't changed much since the last time we were there, a mere 39 years ago! Don't think it will change much in the next 39 either.
The cycle ride was lovely, especially early on when it was quieter.
See they've arrested 3 young "men" for the Ilkley fire. Bring back the stocks I say.

Easy run home this morning from Fife, very little traffic, first load of washing on, then down to DD's for lunch. The wee fellow had not forgotten us and gave us a big smile.
Have started emptying the van, but still plenty to deal with.
We have 2 days off to get ourselves sorted out before we resume child minding duties on Wednesday.

I love that part of the world WN. I had many happy holidays there throughout my childhood and then later with our own childten.

We had a day off today, thought we deserved it.
Went to see Mum, took her Easter egg and card, "oh is it Easter" she says
Went out into the garden with her and another one of the residents, one of the senior careers came out with a bubble machine
lots of laughter and trying to 'catch' the bubbles, was god to hear.
After lunch we went off for a cycle ride, loaded the bikes on the car first to get us to a less busy area to start out ride. Managed 12 miles, really pleased with that as it was all on cycle paths
lots of people out and about walking and cycling enjoy the sun.
No chocolate eggs eaten here today

Tda, there are a couple of sites that I can recommend....Meon View, No 1589 in SD, which has both grass and H/S pitches, and a small rally field adjacent to the site, and Monks Barn (not quite Abbey something but near), No 1590 in SD, which has 5 H/S and some grass ones to choose from, and has a WC & Shower; also has a rally field but that's a bit away from the site, although the access road to it pass the pitching area. The latter is adjacent to the busier road so Meon View is quieter but a little further from Stratford.

Thatโs the one Nellie, Monks Barn, I knew it was something to do with churchy type doings!๐ will take a look at both, thank you.
My little Sis is far too literal, told her no choc eggs please.....so she brings chocolate bunnies instead!๐คฃ We had a go at caramelised bananas, think we have accidentally discovered a new recipe for toffee, but they went down nicely. Everyone looking forward to our short break now, up on North York Moors.

We have had a bit of bad news with our caravan. When we were last away I noticed a crack in the front window. It is a complete one window front wind screen. Local dealer says it needs a new window. The cost is eye watering ๐ฑ. We are awaiting an official estimate to submit to our insurers (the Caravan and Motorhome Club) and hope they agree to pay up although our excess is fairly hefty ๐ซ
Better news is that we have had a really lovely Easter day. We went to the Easter day service at the Cathedral with family and friends this morning. Such a happy occasion and it was packed which was great to see. Son, DIL, 2 grandsons, grand-daughter, her fiance and 2 dogs then came to ours and spent the afternoon enjoying the glorious weather in our garden. ๐

Thatโs bad news Millie. They are usually double skinned, is it external or internal crack?
0 -
Both sadly TDA with no idea how it happened.
0 -
Sorry to hear of your plight, millie. Seems a strange thing to happen to both skins. Wonder if it is too tight a fit and the heat has caused expansion resulting in the cracking.

Glad that I could come up with the right answer. When do you head up to NYM? Thought it must be there as I didn't think you'd be heading down to Devon twice this summer.
