Thanks, WN, an easy if slow tow across country and even round Dorchester the traffic was relatively light. The weather was fine and sunny until we had a shower when I was out for my late afternoon walk.
This is another CL that is new to us, the fourth new one so far on this trip, not far from Beaminster, in a small paddock and the owner only takes 4 vans normally, but lots of room and we are the only one on at the moment. Of the last 5 CLs we have stopped on only one has been full for more than one day, and a couple of the sites' owners have said how quiet they have been this year compared to the previous two, with one saying that she blames the new booking system for not having any recent booking.!!😮

Ive been off the fatty stuff since April now, and feel fitter than I have in years, so I don't have an issue with that. I've adopted a largely meat free diet, walk 5 miles a day and have lost nearly 2 stone in weight. Thankfully, gin is still fat free!
Thanks for your thoughts

Good luck TimboC!
Had my Covid jab yesterday and have not reacted as badly as previous times but dosed up with paracetamol to keep things at bay. ABM I didn't feel a thing either, expert jabbing I think?! OH just off for flu jab.
Lovely morning here, hope you enjoy the Beaminster area Nellie, nice spot, have wondered what the CLs are like around there, is that the one near Little Groves?
Bakers if it's any help you might be able to peel that Hydrangea off the wall when the leaves drop. We're the opposite we've got one that won't grow, wrong place probably.
Autumnal photo, my favourite birch tree, much sweeping of leaves soon but good for compost.

We are on our third new to us CL this trip, very nice, not far from Thetford. Just had Spitfire and a bi plane fly across right overhead, a nice little bonus.

Same from us TimboC and a friend had his out about 4 years ago and did go a bit extreme with diet and ended up he had lost too much weight but now better and more weight and careful what he eats as to Alcohol he does not drink.
Got rid of all our garden rubbish yesterday just a couple of bags of small stuff to do when we get back from our short break next week, our friends arrived at 11.45am and we filled their trailer up as it has sides on could get more in so just after two pm the al went to skip so I could sort out kitchen after lunch then back here again and two more loads but it already looks better and the birds are checking the area out will do some more later in the year as we have more to chop down, at least the grass is starrting to grow again and had 5.8mm of rain this morning which was good.

After a lovely warm sunny week in Roses, today we have had rain, seems to be drying out now, hope so we move on tomorrow and I'd like things to dry off a bit. Moving further South probably around Cambrils area for a few days the south again. Just taking our time, stopping if we like it moving on if not.
Been reading about folks trips away, good to read so many still out and about and enjoying themselves.
Saving my data till I know how far it will go, so far doing quite well on my 12gb I've even streamed a couple of programmes.

Good to hear trip still going well Tammy. A good few years now since we last stayed in Rosas.
A morning spent emptying car and caravan in between neighbours stopping to have a chat and ask if we could give them a price for tarmacking the driveway. Cheeky blighters.

Confined to quarters for the afternoon, which suited me. Don't think MiL has stopped talking since we got home, bless her.

Hope those away still enjoying the touring.

Now on CCC Jedburgh, arrived yesterday. Pleasant little site, very close to the town, but still peaceful, so lots of MHs arriving late afternoon resulting in a fairly full site.
Facilities are a bit dated but very clean. As we will mainly use our own facilities, we are happy with what is on offer for £17 per night.
Today was mild and sunny so we have been for a look around the town. It is very welcoming to visitors, all free parking for varying lengths of time, the main CP allows up to 60 hours! There is also free town wifi.
As we have visited the town before, though a long time ago, we had already been to the Castle Jail and Mary Queen of Scots house, so instead we had a look at the Abbey and a walk round the shops. It was sad to see how many were empty, and the lovely little cafe we had lunch in last time had also gone.
We had expected most shops to be open on a Saturday afternoon, but this was not the case........possibly due to the rugby match that was on this afternoon at the pitch right next to our campsite. In fact access to the pitch is through the site! Rugby is very popular in the Borders.
The forecast for tomorrow is poor, so no plans as yet. Hopefully Monday might be better as we plan a trip to Kelso.

Glad you got home safe WN👍 We like Jedburgh K, proper interesting Borders town. We love the whole Borders area to be honest.
Nice day here, OH had his Dad’s Army fix this lunchtime, it is a delightful little free museum in Thetford, always good fun. We had lunch down by the Priory, quite surprised how big it was, and how much is still there. Our last night on this nice CL, we are heading further North tomorrow via Desert Rats Memorial, and Oxburgh Hall. We have been very lucky with our weather this week. Just starting to review some of the CLs we have used as well, all been very nice.

Lovely morning here, hope you enjoy the Beaminster area Nellie, nice spot, have wondered what the CLs are like around there, is that the one near Little Groves?
Brue, we are on Kitwhistle Barn CL, a small paddock where the owner usually only takes 4 units, all on grass with stacks of room, but easy to access, about 3/4 mls off the A356. Not sure where Little Groves is.

Just wondering if any footy fans from the Wrexham area are posting or still celebrating tonight after only conceding Five (5) goals this weekend but still celebrating ( honest
!) since they scored a pitiful SEVEN (7) themselves. Bet the scoreboard workers were going bananas keeping up !!0 -
Our flu jabs yesterday, Dr surgery, well organised, front and back doors open, in the front out the back, long queue, one to the left room one to the right, so didn’t wait long. Didn’t recognise the person giving ours, not one of our nurses, boy did it hurt, never ever had such a painful injection, OH commented his was painful too, same person did his. Often have a bad reaction to the flu jab, whereas the covid one has been fine. Woke up at 2am with a terrible headache, and so hot, paracetamol. Not quite so bad now but arm very painful. Always think it’s well worth it though, my lovely Gran died of the flu, so injection always a must.

Hope you recover swiftly DEBSC & OH, Some barmy folk still reckon that Flu' is just like a bad cold but when you've seen the effects of a real Influenza outbreak & the damage that it causes you soon learn better !. My jab has had no after effects at all but to make up for that, I'm feeling ready for a nice snooze just now
. And just because I decided to attack the laundry jobs AND fight the Heavy Duvet Fight, nobody singing hymns tho
just the occasional creak from the dodgy old back, but at least its looking good for an uninterrupted paracetamol*** aided sleep tonight !*** Other sleep assisters are available but I've only got that one packet handy

Glad that folk are still managing to get out and about in their vans. We've got a really busy few weeks and are unlikey to be able to get out until the end of the month.
Went to the Central Region AGM yesterday and after church today, we've made our usual visit to Carol's mums (she's 90). As soon as we get there the first thing she wants to do is to go to Costa. 😀😀
A bit breezy out, but the breeze is not cold.

Well here we are in Norfolk. We had a good journey apart from the usual slow traffic between Kings Lynn and the turn off for Cromer. We arrived in Glorious weather and it has been glorious again today after a very chilly start. We haven't seen a cloud in the sky. We went into Cromer and had crab sandwiches in The Jetty Cafe. It used to be The Jetty Coffee Bar in my youth! We then had a walk along the front a sat and had an ice cream. We are staying in a static on a lovely little campsite on the cliff top with the most wonderful views.

Another lovely view. Where abouts are you - Overstrand, Mundesley?

It's been a beautiful day, almost wall to wall warm sunshine.
This morning Daffy the MG came out of the garage for a trip to the local classic car meet at the cricket club. Then this afternoon was spent doing a bit of gardening. Trevor's cousin had built us a small brick wall to make a raised flower bed in the front garden yesterday so we were filling the space.
Millie, lovely views, Enjoy your holiday.

No, Cromer clifftop twixt your site and the town. That was last year.

Ah yes I know where you were TW.

Enjoy your holiday Millie. Hope the weather behaves itself. From the forecast it didn't look too bad for the time of the year.
Spent the morning clearing the gutters at the back of the house, which receives more detritus than the front. I noticed one of the gutters was overflowing on Friday when we arrived home in torrential rain. Didn't even get my trousers dirty and Mrs WN was very good not chastising me for going up in clean ones put on this morning.

Quite a busy week coming up.

Hope you had your able assistant holding the steps for you, WN. You know jolly well what happens otherwise!
Lovely weather you're having millie, hope it continues for you. Grand photos too.
Another two nice days here near Beaminster. Yesterday we had a couple of walk around different parts of Dorset Wildlife's Kingcombe Nature Reserve. Today We had a very pleasant day out too. We drove over to Burton Bradstock and had a walk eastward along the coastal path before returning to the NT car park at The Hive, where we met up with a M/H owning friend of ours and her dog, who we haven't seen for about a year. Into The Hive beach cafe for a most enjoyable late lunch and a good old blether, catching up on her latest adventure to the Shetland Isles and the problems she had after returning to the mainland. All seems well now though as she had spent the weekend at a Bongo meet up near Stonehenge. All in all a grand day out, and even found some less expensive diesel at Morrison's in Bridport on the way back to the van

Glad you are enjoying Dorset Nellie, that’s another long overdue return for us😁
We might have crossed at Kings Lynn Millie👍 We left Thetford area this morning, stopped off at Oxburgh Hall, then up to KL and picked up A17, but got diverted right up and round Gainsborough. A lovely warm day though, and we shared the driving, so not too tiring. Home now, two lots of washing done and MH put away. It’s MOT and service for her next week, so🤞🤞

Sounds good Nellie, glad you enjoyed the Hive Cafe, we were going there recently and the coast road was closed so missed out. The Little Groves I mentioned is a garden centre near Beaminster tunnel (opposite side to yours) and there is a CL nearby. Like your friend my sister and BIL had a Bongo, mostly for France stays.
Not doing too well with Covid and flu jabs here but recovering! OH turned up for flu jab Saturday, chaos reigned after fridge storage failure.
Off to hear a speaker at Yeovil literary festival today, Alexander McCall Smith. Busy week ahead.
KJ sad to be reminded that Jedburgh has seen better days, much the same for Hawick.
Nice to hear about other breaks and outings.

Opening your blind first thing and seeing a clear blue sky is an amazing feeling for me. Especially on a Monday morning. Supposed to be good all day so might venture further afield or do a coffee shop crawl again.

Is that Rowntree Park Corners?
0 -
I think Corners is just along the road from us in Melrose at the moment.
Been a lovely day here in the Borders, very sunny, although the wind is chilly. We have been over to Kelso, taking the long way round past Scott's View and Dryburgh.
Lunch, filled up the car, and did some shopping in Sainsburys, then into town for a wander around and a few purchases. Then home via Lidl for the perishables to keep us going till Friday. Lovely smell of baking bread in the van on our return, so tomorrow's breakfast sorted.
Kelso appears to be thriving, hardly any empty shops, town centre busy, newish Sainsbury and Lidl.
Off tomorrow to our final site of this trip, Shell Bay at Elie in Fife. About 95 miles, arrival is after 12, so we aim to leave here around 10, should take us about 2 1/2 hours.

After heavy rain overnight which woke us both up it stopped once we were up, dressed and breakfasted and it has been a lovely sunny day but with a rather chilly beeze. Guess where we have been today. The photo of the horse is to show Mr and Mrs WN what it looks like when it is not up to it's neck in water. 😁 We are beginning to feel rather under accessorised when we go out as we don't havea dog with us!
How lovely that you were able to enjoy the good weather by taking Daffy out for a spin Helen.
Nice to hear that you a enjoying Dorset nellie. It brings back lovely memories of times we spent down there with our van visiting my cousin and his wife.
