Well 2 packers arrived dead on time 8am. Made them a cuppa ๐Ÿ˜€. Guided tour of packing and rooms. They got cracking. 2 more arrived  about 0930 after they had loaded and unloaded a flat in the city.

They're working really fast and very good. Complimented me on how organised it is. Can't think why!

I'm actually sitting in a very sunny conservatory playing on here. Boxes arriving steadily. OH out with the dog. Who insists on digging holes in the grass ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ˜ค. Once kitchen is packed I'll making more cuppas. It's all getting very real ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

A mere 26 weeks from offer on one we're buying to move. Our sale was 2 weeks before so 28 in total and 10 months since our offer on 1st house which I don't think she wants to move from!

So pleased it is all going so well Bakers2. It sounds as though all your planning and organisation are paying off. When do you actually vacate the 'old' house and move into the 'new' one. I do hope that you relax for a few days after getting in your new house and don't try to do too much.

Just in from our daily walk. Thereโ€™s snow on the very tops and even some in the roadside ditches.

Itโ€™s nice to see some lambs at last, they seem to be lambing later each year.

I went for a dog walk too, no snow here but a very cold wind in the sunshine. My plans to keep the heating off at home have failed! wink

Do hope your holiday plans go well Millie, enjoy NI. I buy quite a few plants from over there, just now I'm willing the blossom on a young plum tree to survive the cold blasts of air, it's only got about six flowers on it and I would just like to see one plum this year!

We will be looking after our daughter's dog next week and over Easter, they managed to get a last minute cottage in the Southern Lakes, going up for a break and a family event in Penrith. Having an extra dog curbs our style a bit so it will be mostly outdoor visits over the coming days.

Hope you enjoy Brecon DSB, we liked the local pub, a nice short walk from the site and dogs are welcome.

B2 I expect you'll feel strange without your usual possessions around you but it's good to be organised!

Beautiful sun here ๐Ÿคž but cool wind, not been in the shade probably cold. Please keep the snow โ„  thank you.

Just eating lunch, no pickle with the cheese - packed ๐Ÿคฃ. Boxes neatly stacked. The later 2 guys packed the shed, lounge not much, dining room plenty and left about 1115 so just over 2 hours. First guys much neater and methodical did bedrooms and kitchen and left soon after noon. Goes to show that every job is skilled. They said it was well organised ๐Ÿ˜‡ but lots of stuff as cupboards were very we'll shelved and sorted ๐Ÿ˜‚.Still feeling calm.

Will clean out drawers and cupboards after lunch and then organise the file of papers and other bits we are leaving for new owners.

Milliehull the lorries ๐Ÿคฃ, good job we aren't downsizing! A big one and a Luton for garden stuff ๐Ÿ˜‰. Arrive 8am Monday and load then take to yard to store. They aim to leave here 0645 on Tuesday to deliver so reckon they'll be up about 0830. Just one guy from todays 4 will be coming on Monday with at least another 2. Have a great time in NI. I intend to remove my foot from the gas once we 'land. Reflex session booked ๐Ÿ˜€ and a visit to the cathedral on the horizon.

Right mustn't loose momentum enjoy your day folks

    Teleport swap?

    I thought not ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ enjoy....

Solicitor's account arrived ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. Not checked thoroughly yet. But estate agent one is OK. I'm sure solicitors bill will be too but think it includes the aborted purchase... As taking down a couple of curtains and lampshades. Guys were going to do Monday but I've cleaned the shades and curtains having a 'hazel' on the line whilst it's nice.

Lovely walking on the Dodman, and some very nice beaches. Havenโ€™t been down there for quite a while, closest we managed was a visit to Heligan a few years ago. Cornwall is beautiful this time of year, even more so in May. Enjoy M๐Ÿ‘

Glad you had a good getaway AD.

Hang in their Bakers, the end is in sight now. Hope everything rolls along nicel6 for you๐Ÿ‘

That'll be the Veryan RAC post bunker I guess.  We walked right past there! I read that it's open to visitors a few times each year - would be interesting to see inside there. smile

    Lovely photos Moulsey,

Bakers2 glad to hear move going well, the last time we moved house, no lorry required as we only moved round the corner we carried or sack barrowed everything round ๐Ÿคฃ

Our Internet is still playing up, it's a quick catch up before it goes off again ๐Ÿ˜ง another engineer booked for Monday morning. ๐Ÿคž

Our Grand-daughter is coming over tomorrow with her parents, am now starting to enjoy being a "Nana".

Thanks for sharing Moulesy.  Love the Roseland area, although the roads are a bit narrow in places! ๐Ÿ˜€  Sadly, it doesn't look as if we'll make Cornwall this year.  We've decided to go in the opposite direction for some of our Summer break... Scotland...  However, we are going to Devon for a little while.  Enjoy Cornwall.

If anybody really , truly likes 'Secret Bunkers' to stroll round there is one just outside Nantwich which is often open to the Public for a fee or six of course wink'

It used to be an RAF Air Traffic Control Centre*** and was intended to be about thirty (30) foot under ground,  Sadly the Ministry of Twerps was having one of its better (!) days when it was planned, so they picked an area of South Cheshire that was, and still is, notorious for being a huge BOG !! So much so that only about the bottom ten feet is underground and the rest of it approx 40 feet or so is sticking up trying to pretend that its actually a sheep pen !! Following the usual politics of this country, it was decided to build an Early Warning Station of our own in Yorkshire and yours truly was in attendance in Sept 1966 when HG was closed 'cos the planned { Ha  B****y Ha ] station had to be converted to Air Traffic since it could not see anything higher than a pretty determined Bonfire night rocket on a clear night !!

The old heap was converted into a seat of regional Government, and as such is worth a walk round to see where your taxes have been spent  frown

Today's  puzzle from me. Out walking today, not that far from where we are staying, and saw these. Can anyone  identify  what they are and where?

We went for a walk at Clumber Park today. There were a fair few doing the same thing, so rather than walk down to the lake, we walked in the less popular direction towards the CAMC campsite, which is currently closed for refurbishment. This seems to be coming along with both new facilities blocks well on the way to completion. Plumbing and new cabling had also been installed at several pitches we could see, to turn them into the service variety. For those who know the site several of the pitches near to the bottom gate and lower toilet block are in the process of conversion.

Hmmm Nellie undecided  Your pillars do seem rather similar to the concrete posts planted in the grass verge outside my aged sisters house ! They were placed there to stop the CO-OP Delivery drivers { ha--ha } from driving up to her front door as they try, and normally fail, to line up their lorries with the Store warehouse entrance. wink

Uneventful drive north to Greenpark CL just outside Banchory, though we did have some sleet and hailstones after the temperature suddenly plummeted from 10 to 4 degrees as we came up the Aberdeen bypass.

Some snow on the hilltops from north of Dundee.

Site here is full, only one space left when we arrived at 1pm.

Sunny afternoon, nice in the sun  but the air is very cold.  Alde  is struggling to keep the temperature at 21 degrees, had to run on gas for an hour around 6pm to get things warmed up.

Put up the awning so as to have a bit of shelter for the doorway, and somewhere to keep the coolbox.  Probably just as cold outside as in the coolbox!!

More sleet and hailstones this evening.

A colder day today with a stiff breeze to put it mildly! We stayed local, walking on the north coast from Crantock to Porth Joke. The fields around here are bare right now but in a couole of months time will be ablaze with reds and yellows as the poppies and cornflowers come out. (Yes, the third picture is a cheat from previous years! wink)

No sign of any mass influx for Easter yet; I wonder if fuel prices are discouraging folk from coming? We managed to fill up yesterday at a little local place (with cheaper prices than the main Shell place just up the road) so should be ok for a while now.

Jobs to do this afternoon, cleaning the decking and putting the summer furniture out, then cutting the grass alongside the van. Summer is on the way (or so they tell me!) smile

Great photos M and we are looking forward to our stay at Merrose Farm club site from the end of this month and hoping weather is dry and not to chilly.

Came back today after helping friends with their above ground pool all gone ok and got it done before the strong winds Friday evening and they will help us with our pool but a bit smaller at end of May so should be warmer and calmer then, it has been a lovely warm day today 20.5C after a frost this morning.

Been sorting a few things in the caravan ready for packing tomorrow so a busy couple of days before we leave for our month away.

Merrose is in a good spot RedKite, we were talking about it last night as the coast path is just a nice walk over the road and past a good farm shop.

Moulesy. If the holiday makers aren't in Cornwall they were certainly in West Bay this morning...all those shorts and t shirts, brrrr! We visited Groves garden centre for some plants and pots and then had a quick shifty around West Bay but didn't stop. Groves has a nice cafe so we had a coffee in the warm, we can take the dog in too. A heavy frost this morning left our tulips looking a bit forlorn, just hope it warms up soon!

Hope the holiday folk are enjoying their trips.

It's been a nice weekend here, cold with hard frost overnight but sunny during the day and drysmile

Decided to do a bit of cleaning in the MH, just wiping down all the surfaces and giving the carpets and floor a sweep, will all get done again in a couple of weeks just before we go away but it looks better for it.

After the MH we then gave the towcar a tidy up and clean inside. Car full of diesel so no issues there for getting away on Tuesday, hope we can get some again before we have to head home.

Just got the food to go in tomorrow and things like my hair tongs and tablet and charging leads. So much easier to pack for a week away in the UK than 8 weeks abroad laughing

I went to my very local Halfords today for some car cleaning stuff, and yes wow I hear you say what an exciting item to report back on but that's not what I wanted to share. The have a new 'motor club scheme' which is free to join at the basic level but gives you a welcome voucher for ยฃ10 which you can spend straight away (if you spend ยฃ20) which I did smile

Mrs C also joined so that's another ยฃ10. They also have caravan and camping stuff.

Frosty start today but warmed up with the sunshine. Had an early walk in our local park, the Parakeets were about, been a while since I've seen them.

Grand-daughter arrived at lunchtime with her parents, I had forgotten just how quickly babies grow and change in just a few weeks.๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoyed a full Sunday lunch and then a facetime call with youngest son who was suffering slightly after a 30+ mile bike ride this morning. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hope everyone  has had a good weekend, safe travels to all heading away.

Lovely sunny day here after a very cold frosty start. We went to the Palm Sunday service at the Cathedral this morning where 2 donkeys led the procession through the precincts. They were a great success. Afterwards we went over to our daughter's to deliver their Easter eggs and prrsents. They are in the proccess to re-insulating and boarding their loft which has led to a huge clear out. I am sure it will all be worth it in the end!! I also made a start on getting ready for our trip to N. Ireland.

It sounds as though you had a lovely family day Helen. I hope you all have great time away next week

    Lovely photos moulesy.
