Mum’s GP still prescribes it DK. I had to ask them to get effervescent for her, as she struggles nowadays with some tablets. The effervescent type are just as awful as normal tablets, even with some kind of dilute juice added. Thankfully she doesn’t need them too often. We sort her medicines for her nowadays, don’t let untaken drugs build up. She’s not on much stuff to be honest.

Go outdoors certainly do and you get an extra 10% discount with the C&CC or English Heritage, as long as it’s not a sale item.

After posting the above the thread locked up and I was booted out. To get back in after multiple server errors I had to work forward several pages from earlier posts. Perhaps there is a gremlin in my above post. I will submit this and see if it clears the problem.

edit   No luck I still have to go in earlier and work forward to this page.☹️

Wow my post appeared and I was eventually able to see it after several abortive attempts, server errors etc. I came to it via the latest activity page - which had similar issues.....

Luckily this is 'my idle time' I'm sitting awaiting the minor service on the car - was informed it would be an hour when I booked. About the time it would take me to walk home and back again.

Several odd phone calls booking it in over the last week following the reminder email from the supplying dealer. Could/couldn't fit dashcam 3 different prices for the minor service! Arrived at alloted time to be asked if I'd booked it in....... eventually sorted, service manager happened to be listening and found it 'amusing', I don't think so as every time I was through to the call centre..... Anyway turns out that it can now be washed and footwells vac'd they'll wish they hadn't as I've not had time to do anytime to the inside following dog walks etc 😱. Since Covid there's been no complimentary clean.......

Will now be 1.5 hours so I've just to sit here and chill. How hard is life?

I'm getting server errors on this thread too and could only read posts after several attempts at bypassing page numbers, arrows >> etc until a gap appeared to move forward, if that makes any sense...undecided

    Thanks again for shoe information.

One of those mornings here, constant phone calls and messages, hair cut, help in garden and more DIY fo daughter. Finally heard from one of our afore mentioned elderly neighbour's house move saga, their phone had just been connected (they don't use mobiles) and they had finally made contact with the outside world. I think their family will now be realising just how much help they need, only one of them had moved in due to ongoing decorating etc. Much confusion on the phone but at least it was nice to hear they had actually landed. It's very strange when people you know well move off and you don't hear from them.

I had a long list of instructions about an upcoming rally, basically it says stay apart and don't do anything and there won't be anything happening either! wink That should be fun.....

brue it will be away from daily household chores, yes they'll be a few holiday chores, and you can please yourself on activity or not and no one else should have a call on your time 😉. Naturally with family etc there is no guarantee 😀

Had to access this thread through Latest Activity. (Thanks Bakers smile).

Out first thing to pick up the caravan from the service people in Wrexham. Nothing much wrong. We asked for the mudflaps to be taken off, a new booster for the aerial and have a look at the gas pipe. All sorted and Damp meter readings still in single figures so happy bunnies.

Spent the rest of the morning filling the thing again with all of the stuff that needed taking out and giving it a good clean inside. Start packing it with clothes etc tomorrow.

Mrs WN swears by her Ecco sandals Brue. Mind you they should be good at the price they cost, although she did buy them at the end of a summer season 5 years ago and got a reduction.

Having a break from noise and weeding, tractor in adjoining field cutting 20 acres of grass. Beetroot being harvested in the next field...they're all having a lunch break so I am too. I can't hear myself think! Garden weeds in veg plot are now as high as the veg so several wheel barrow loads filling up, the recent rain and humid air have created a jungle. Went in the greenhouse and cut off all the lower tomato leaves and set up a few snapdragon cuttings. OH still "dealing" with daughter's bathroom but we're having a day off tomorrow and visiting a garden (busman's holiday! wink)

Lovely photos CS, (sent from grumpy jealous bugger.)

Overcast morning but dry so we proceeded with caravan and car packing. Stopped for a while to do some gardening before forecasted sun came out. Brown bin tomorrow so need to make sure they are full.

Gas man duly came and fixed the problem plus did a full boilers service at the same time. He said they have a huge backlog for servicing and many people likely to go full year without one. Asked whether they would get a refund but he politely batted it away. Not his problem he said. Anyway we're happy enough.

Dreadful scenes from Germany with flooding. Feel for them.

I suppose your "respite" week seems like a million years ago now Robsail. Hope that went well for you and I am sorry to hear that life has already returned to "normal" for you.

I wish you good fortune for a change.

Thanks for your thoughts, seems ages ago although it was only a couple of weeks ago! Though we have found out that his condition can mean that the epilepsy meds are not absorbed leading to a major epileptic fit.

Sad news, Robsail, it does seem that some meds can affect how other meds work and should there be a change in general wellbeing  then it can be a serious problem getting the balance correct once more.  Hope that you and yours get the fix you so seriously need.

Lovely warm sunny day here in Dingwall, went for a bike ride and generally had a nice relaxing day.

Off tomorrow across the country to a nice CL north of Oban for a few days.

We were due back home on Sunday as both caravan and MH were going in for their hab service. I say were, we had a call from the chap who does them to say he is having to isolate as his young daughter has tested positive for Covid. Neither he nor she is unwell thankfully but rules are rules. He's promised as soon as he is able to he will get them done. Can't say better than that.

Which means we might just stay out for a few more days. Only the Scottish children on school hols just now so sites not to busy with families though there are a few.

Its to be very hot over on the East so I'm glad we are going West.

Sorry to hear your latest Robsail, I do hope you manage another break soon.

WN, yes terrible news from Germany, only caught a bit of it on the news, tv signal not great from this site at times and as look would have we have a tree behind us blocking the satellite signal as well. Not to bothered though as nothing to watch anyway.laughing

OH had a nice birthday yesterday, main reason we are away during school hols, normally stay at home. As we can't go on the cruise we would have liked to do we decided to come away rather than celebrate at home.

TG belated birthday wishes to your OH it was nearly a year since both our 70th I am about 1 day older than OH, enjoy the rest of your break away.

Very sad seeing the floods in Germany and it was only last year that the south east of France had awful floods.

At last a drier day so some small gardening chores to do after I meet up with friends in a local small town for a coffee and a chat, weather to get very warm over the next few days so a picnic on Sunday somewhere away from crowds and shady as well.

    Have a good weekend folks.

Feel for you Robsail and family, kind regards.

Good to hear others are having a nice time away. Red hot here yesterday, took Mum and Sis for a lovely drive out in Peak District, we even stopped at a pub for an outdoor coffee. Lots more folks out, but not overly busy where we were. Decided on an evening bike ride with OH, interesting industrial heritage ride along Don Valley using canal towpaths and dedicated route ways known as Five Weirs Walk (it is a cyclepath as well). Having a great time, until somehow or other, ambling along behind OH, I lost a bollard in the sunshine. Oops, he came back wondering where I was after five minutes. In a heap, trapped under my bike, flailing around wondering how how to get up😂 Somewhat battered, bloody and bruised, but on the bright side, I didn’t fall into either the River Don, or the canal! My bike was fine as well. First time I have properly fallen off in years. Managed to ride home.

Today looks like being a scorcher, gardening for me. We have friends coming round for a garden meet up tomorrow, haven’t seen them in the flesh for over a year, so really looking forward to it.😁 Need to watch Tour as well, sprint day🤞🤞🤞
