Apparently, B&M are selling packs of 18 rolls. My sister walked in with 3 packs last week😲 Quality as well, not the finger poking flimsy stuff😱
Windy but very sunny here. I am hoping I can cut the lawn today. Marked change in temperature though. I like Autumn, very colourful. Never been to Norfolk in Autumn, so hoping to get some good bird spotting in.

I do sometimes wonder if people actually work out how many toilet rolls the use on average per week? Since all the silliness earlier in the year we just make sure we are well stocked, as opposed to overstocked, of all the things that are likely to be subject to panic/bulk buying. Don't wish to upset anyone but we could be in a similar situation at the end of the year if the Government don't get this deal sorted with the EU! On second thoughts I better start panic buying

Fear not DK. Britain doesn’t make a great deal of what is going to be essential but we do make loo rolls. Australia gets the majority of theirs from China😂😁

Pleased to hear it ABM, but it’s not much improved on yesterday, on the east coast. Little bit less wind but still piddling down. Nice Mr Warden (on NYM site) has lent me a groundsheet so that I can drop the awning onto it when it comes down later - so as to avoid dropping it into this quagmire surrounding the van. Would never have come on a grass pitch 10 days ago if this had been forecast then!
I reckon we’ve had a month’s rain in the last two or three days☔️☔️

Here at Aldeburgh the wind has dropped from raging gale to strong icy blasts from the north. The rain has gone from lashing-down torrent to sporadic showers. The sea is grey, the sky is grey, the sun put in a brief appearance this morning, but we're still enjoying our Autumn tour!
The site is nearly full, despite the toilet block being closed and the site fees still at full rate!

Another lovely sunny day here, last night was cold though.
A trip to the skip this morning with a trailer load of garden waste and an old garden hose.
Trip into Aldi on the way to return a George Foreman grill that we bought while away. Not happy with it as it seems to only heat and cook food along a 3 inch strip in the middle
full refund no problem. Picked up some milk and bread while there, no sign of panic buying in fact shop was quiet. Shelves full as usual. Not sure what we are doing this afternoon , could be blackberry picking down at the mill ☺️

That is a lot of toilet roll miles, or should that be kilometres?

Personal preference I know but I (not OH) would never use a grass pitch whatever the weather. I don’t like the mess and grass bits in the caravan, it always seems to find it’s way in!! We always request a hardstanding even on CL’s if available. Shame about the rain though, good luck with your clearing up. 🤞

We have had a lot of rain in the last week and now it is raining again and very cold for this time of year some of our neighbours have lit the wood burners as they are old stone houses, forecast for tonight down to 4C brr even had to put long trousers and socks on, hopefully it will get a bit warmer next week.
We have moved our break away until November but we are keeping an eye on the new cases here as they are going up a lot every day, friends of ours are leaving a week early to get back to the UK and will be back there on 7th October.
Not seen any panic buying here yet but we do not go out to much at present, no local lockdowns here yet but there are certain restrictions in some areas in the south and north of the country.

A day of washing, cleaning and shopping (albeit of the click and collect variety).
Mrs WN states that the piles of washing are down to just 2, having done 4 today. I wouldn't mind but she does wash clothes almost every day when we're away. Nevertheless, if I've worn something for just a day, like a Gilet say, then it gets a proper wash when we get home. We have one of those washing machines for the caravan like Nellie and Tammy have. Certainly pays it way.
Took MiL down for her flu jab at lunchtime. They refused to let me do it, spoilsports.

Still have the caravan and car to wash and clean so guess I'll be doing that tomorrow plus some gardening if time allows.
Found out my nephew is getting married next year. I've told Brother that I'll let him have our itinerary asap so they can work out a date that's convenient for us,(preferably one when we're abroad
, although they may very well think the same!)1 -
Just catching up while my cauliflower buffalo wings are cooking, S
Sounds like those away are enjoying themselves and getting chance to meet up, at a distance of course

Went to our local farmers market this morning, everyone wearing face coverings even though outside, bought a few goodies.
Trevor had his flu jab at the surgery this afternoon, check in was in the car park and then he was in and out in just a couple of minutes. Fitted a new blind in the bathroom, but not very happy with it, serves me right it was too cheap!
Haven't seen any panic buying in our local Aldi yet.

Weddings are going to be interesting in the future, at least until a vaccine is found. We have an invite to one in 2022, so fingers crossed for then.🤞

We arrived at our cottage on Exmoor yesterday, and very comfortable and warm it is too.
Because we couldn't get in till 3pm we decided to stop for lunch at the village pub in Monksilver - phoned to check they were OK with dogs and could we book a table, but as it turned out we were the only customers. I really can't see how it pays for them to be open at the moment. But the food was good, the owner friendly, suggested a good walk on the Coleridge Way and the dogs got treats as well.
Today has been bright and sunny but with a cold wind. We drove to Withypool and walked to Tarr Steps (which I believe is the longest clapper bridge in the country) along the Two Moors Way and back on the riverside path beside the River Barle. Usually a sure place to spot dippers, but no luck today. Some lovely views over the hills and along the river.

The walking on Exmoor is not as hard as the Dales or the Lakes, but some of the short ascents can be quite lung bursting.

Enjoy Exmoor Moulsey, its one of my favourite areas, and I love the Exmoor ponies.

Nice to hear from you Helen. Have you and OH been able to use the MG much over the past few months?
Been a lovely day here today SWMBO wanted to visit the Gretna outlets so we went there this morning but they were very busy so we didn’t stay long. Took a drive over to Annan first time we had been there for years quite a nice town and we passed a couple of hours walking around and got some nice sausage rolls from the local bakers. Got back here to the van at around half 4 it was so nice we were able to sit outside and cook dinner on the Cadac. Possibly the last time this year using the Cadac unless we have a nice autumn was nice to sit out warm for this time of year. This is a lovely CL one we plan to return to in future great facilities and reasonably priced.

Nice to hear from you Helen. Have you and OH been able to use the MG much over the past few months?
Yes, the MG has been out a few times over the summer, only when the sun has been shining though
We took it to Milton Keynes when we visited our eldest son. We have missed the car shows, especially the one at the Gloucester & Warwickshire steam railway held at Toddington Station. Next year, hopefully

My friend's son has rearranged his wedding three times, brought it forward to November and now the guest list will be mostly himself and the bride to be!
Happiness was a family get together on the Northumbrian cliffs today. Wondering if we'll have to be very very patient over the next one.

Such a lovely happy photo brue. So pleased you managed to have a family get together.
Enjoy Exmoor moulesy. I have such lovely memories of many happy holidays in the area both when I was a child and when our children were younger. Lovely photos of Tarr Steps.
Still very windy here. We have spent the afternoom (in persistent drizzle) in the garden trying to rescue the plants that have been blown over or snapped off.
