Sounds like you had a good day with Callum KjNn. Such a lovely age as they are so inteterested in everything

We had coffee in the garden at a friends yesterday morning (4 of us). It was all very relaxing and so good to see them and have a catch up. We took our cat Charlie to the vets yesterday afternoon for his 6 monthly check up and annual boosters. It is a very strange expetience these days as we spent most of the time sitting in the car in the car park while they took him inside. As feared they wanted to do a blood test - £££££ 😱.

Sounds like many of you had lovely days out. Great photos brue and moulsey.

Glad things are progressing Bakers2. Such a difficult time for you. The puppy must be growing up a lot.

Indeed Millie, he has an amazing memory for his age, 2 years 4 1/2 months, and a wide vocabulary.

We were looking at his new sweater and I asked him if it had an elephant on it, he gave me a look and told me it was a woolly mammoth!   And then went on to point out the "volcano with lava gushing out", and the dinosaurs.

He is getting to grips with pronouns now, using I instead of Callum to refer to himself, though there is still some confusion between I and you!

It's a murky, drizzly start to the day, but the clouds are beginning to lift and we can see the top of Simon's Seat across the valley (sadly can't walk to the top with the dogs frown) so I reckon in an hour or so it'll be clear enough to venture out, bit of indecision as to which way to head at the moment though! laughing

Just catching up here after a couple of busy days my 70th on 28th and OH 70th on 29th  had a meal out with friends on 28th and had a few friends around last evening for a 70th bash which they all enjoyed but at  10.15pm our water filter decided to break and so no water and plenty of water in our outside building so water was turned off and our friends departed although did ask if we wanted help, so OH donned old clothes and with our friends who were staying here helped to get it sorted so good job we have a bypass system, so today things are spread around outside drying out but no real damage to anything except one of OH's hard disk systems which he left on the floor was soaked.

Our friends have gone back home today with a few items of party food so that will be their lunch and tea sorted for today  and we haven plenty here, not sure what to do with half bottles of fizz and wine as OH does not drink.

Great photos brue and moulesy and everything looking green very envious as we are very dry and the ground is brown everywhere and upto 40C today so not much being done outside.

A birthday to remember Redkite, but many happy returns to both of you. 🥂🎁 !!

40C, melting point for me. I noticed on the weather maps how hot parts of Europe were, it's warm here to but a pleasant breeze is wafting around. Our countryside is starting to look a bit parched in places but yes, still green.

Also thinking off B2 too and hope things are going well, everything takes so long to sort and even then is such an emotional rollercoaster.

Our little dog has reached her first birthday, this time last year we were missing our old terrier a lot and no thoughts of another dog... 🐕‍🦺🐾 (we've had her six months and a lot of chewed books later.)

Then  think yourself lucky not to have an eight and a half stone  St Bernard Moulesy  !!

Took a full Mountain Rescue team to stretcher  Daisy~with~the~sore~legs off  one of the little hills up in the Lakes this week !!

I seem to recall it took all 12 of them some eight ( 8 ! ) hours to get her down and just, only just, made it before the weather  broke !! The TV reports next day shewed her recovering on her back waving all four legs in the cool breeze ~~ actualy I think she was begging for more and more tummy rubs of course !!

** Warning for Moulesy ~~> Expect a doggy teehee mail from ABM shortly  If I may

Happy birthday's to the Redkites, smile 40c wow a bit too hot for me these days unless there is a pool around to dip into.

Just got back from our week away, nice to get out and about but the weather wasn't that great at times.

Had a good day yesterday at Culzean, cycled into the park and all around, then went and had a look at the castle, from the outside of course. Its been a long time since we were last there.

Had a walk along the beach, messing about in the rock pools looking for hermit crabs etc. water nice and clear. Then a few hours just sitting enjoying the sun back at the MH.

The site was fine but wouldn't go again when its main holiday season, lots of tents and children running around everywhere. TV reception non existent so a sat dish is required. Not getting ours fitted until next Wednesday.

Really liked the CL near Stranraer would use that again.

Back home to rain and cold so heating is now on as is the first washing load.

Stopped off at Asda on the way home for fresh food, all the one way arrows have been removed, sanitising station still in place, Tills now separated into 'Cash only'  'Card only' more plastic dividing the self service basket tills. No queues outside but fairly busy inside.

TV saga ongoing, the new TV ordered before going away arrived a little while ago, OH unpacked it fitted stand and plugged in, the screen is broken surprised you just couldn't make it up. Old faithful now back in place.

Thanks Tammygirl and JVB66 yes social distancing was observed, we now have French driving licences and not needed to renew yet. Another hot day on Friday but looks like it will be cooler about 32C over the weekend.

Belated best wishes to the old folks, RK and her OH.smile

Spent a pleasant hour or 4 with the Nellies today wandering around Marbury Country Park, near Northwich. Good to see the old 'uns again.laughing They both seemed to have done rather well in lockdown, so much so that Flyte was the one limping. What that poor dog has to put up with.

It was good to have a proper chat.

We have the excitement of Tesco's tomorrow. want to get there earlyish as I want to do some cutting back on the Berberis again. It has grown far too much this year. Sounds like it's going to be a hot one so want to finish whatever I can before lunch.

We too enjoyed our day out with the WMs. We didn't see a lot, far too busy catching up. Must say thanks for the guided walk and the pint at the end of it.

We then called in at Lidl to restock on essentials on the way back to the van. Just had time to put things away before daughter arrived, en route home from Wrexham, bearing gifts........2 packs of face masks, a small bottle of hand sanitiser, a pack of chocolate muffins, a slab of Collier's for me and, along with a couple of bottles of mixers, a bottle of Gin Liquer for her mum.

I must say it has been a grand day all round.

    Belated good wishes, RK.

Took the Motorhome for its monthly run yesterday. Booked a place at Harwick Hall, (National Trust) which surprisingly still had availability when I thought to look on Monday. For anyone with a MH the parking is very good, plenty of room and on the level. The house is still closed, just the garden and parkland open. However, seeing the number parked up we decided to give the garden a miss and just went for a walk out through the park and onto the surrounding old railway line paths. It was reasonably hot and humid, so a 6 mile circuit was enough and we reentered the estate on the opposite side. Looking forward to using the MH for real in another month. Although with these latest flare ups, I am beginning to wonder if it will be possible by then.

Just back from our village shopping. It's definitely heating up.🌞 Certainly glad we don't have to wear them outside like in Spain. I'm not really sure it is benifiting anyone, where as without it I could breath normally, with it there is definitely some puffing and panting.😂

Did a check of caravan today prior to going away is a couple of weeks.  Lucky I did because one of the mover motors was not working!  My excellent mobile engineer will be coming on Tuesday to fix, he said it was almost certain to be the brushes which is a simple thing to fix, if so I will get him to change them on both motors as the mover is 8 yrs old.  My caravan is too heavy for me to manhandle (I'm 76) so a working mover is essential.  Other than that little crisis, just enjoyed the glorious weather, the temperature made very bearable by a sea breeze, we live only 200mtrs for the sea.cool

Been a lovey warm day here today. We intended to spend some time in Lytham but the traffic was horrendous took us about 40 mins just to drive along the shore front my sister called to say they had got a space but it had taken them almost an hour of searching so we abandoned the idea ended up just going to Aldi for a few bits and pieces then we came back to the van. Site very very busy we are just sitting outside with a drink and the Cadac on with dinner ideal weather for caravannong couple of days left here then home

Not the promised great day forecast. Started grey damp and misty, didn't really get the sunny blue skies but it did get warmer and stickier.

MH cleared out, a few more mods done to it and then cleaned and polished throughout, all ready for the next trip smile

Caravan cleared out ready for its service on Monday.

Washing done but garden to wet and soft to do any work in it, grass still wet so will have to wait until tomorrow to get cut.

House is nice and cool smile

Successful hair cut but it felt like a sauna having to wear a polythene cover up! Still extremely warm here, humid, dark and thundery but not much rain forecast. I see temperatures are going up again later next week, 20 mile queues on the M5 today.

OH is pleased, he got a Fiamma storage box on e bay, secondhand in vg condition. Saved a few hundred pounds, he arranged a delivery and it has arrived in good shape. Now trying to work out how to fix it to the bike rack! I seem to remember TDA found a similar bargain?

Too hot for Flyte, and us really, to do a lot, so just had a few wanders around the woods and fishing lakes at the site. Spent the rest of the day just "chillin" in the shade. We did have the odd spot of rain this evening and it is following down nicely now.Last night here before we move on, across the M6, to another CL that is new to us. Did manage to book a couple of visits to NT properties for next week, Bidolph and Quarry Bank.

TG, I took your recommendation and booked the Cruden Bay CL for a few days during our October tour of Central/East Scotland.

We did indeed get a fiamma  box that sits on bike rack. OH says it just required a couple of extra holes drilling into rack to take box bolts. And of course you remove the upper fold over bike clamps. We alternate between box and bikes a lot, and it doesn’t seem an involved process. I will get OH to take some photos and I will post them on Brue. Having box is great in Winter, provides easy dry storage for a couple of chairs, all dog stuff. Saves rummaging around inside under beds. 😁
