Brue have a great day out. Hope the teenager likes the motorhome. Glad you're  feeling up to it 😀

    Grrrr badgers and gardens..........

Goldie, pat on the back, theres nothing like motivation to get tasks done. Won't need doing again for months at least - even if there's another zoom call, mind you you can bet your bottom dollar he will have a larger imagine and someone will spot that single cobweb next time 🤣

Milliehull I do believe you're right about becoming instituationisled,  I noticed it with OH after events last year, we were just getting there when lockdown happened, I now find reasons not to leave the house certainly wasn't how it was even after 'events', I didn't much anyway over lockdown for fear of what I'd bring back. I only go very early 6am generally unknown in my normal world as an hour unless something nice and different was happening! And the twice I've been to Wilko I planned like a military operation! I think we may have to 'take ourselves in hand' once we've weighed up the risks and go for it in a controlled way. At present the pup cant walk in 'dirty' ground so another excuse.......

Don't forget only you get the small image, although you can swop it to them, so they see bigger. Although that maybe be different in Zoom - I've never used it and 3 way conversations on Skype, Messenger or WhatsApp get too silly so aren't used!

If today is your 'Abbotsbury' day Brue, its a lovely sunny day, just be aware there are roadworks in Weymouth around the ASDA 5 ways traffic lights,

but you should be ok to turn right at Chafeys roundabout towards Granby industrial estate.towards the B3157 to Abbotsbury.

I don't think there are any issues coming from Bridport end of the B road apart from the queues to Westbay which are horrendous.

I finished the service on my car, cam belt, oil, filters and brakes. need a break now from crawling under the car before servicing the other car!

I think we are off on a shopping adventure today so enjoy your day all wink

Our pooch has been walking his “Estate”, we actually have a huge gap open into our neighbours garden at the moment, following tree work earlier in year. But he’s a good lad, doesn’t wander. The Airedale’s would have been out like a shot, hence apart from gap, rest of garden is pooch proofed. We will probably hedge it and put wire mesh in to sort it out, as new beech hedging is doing really well. I have a plan for the long wall at the bottom of our garden, which is where someone has got over in past. Fast growing climbing roses, they won’t tackle that, better than razor wire.

We have a day out planned, but weather isn’t helping up here. We are expecting rain. Only a trip out in Jeep, canal path walk and picnic, but will be furthest trip out since March.

Today is a day of firsts....

I’ve had my first “teams” meeting online with work. I must admit to avoiding them since working from home. Just not sure I want to see other people’s houses and also wanting them to see mine! My background was chosen very carefully.....a blank wall and a very large plant! 😊 No bookcases in view (like on tv), mind you The Hairy Bikers Cook Book and Reflexology For Beginners doesn’t give too much away does it?! 😂 All went well so unfortunately another is planned for Thursday........that means hair done and make up on for the second time this week!!! 😮

Sunny first thing, but has now clouded over.  Got only about half of the deck cleaned yesterday, due to machinery failure, so off to do a bit more now, before lunch.

So the clubs now announced that sites in England are on track to open on 4th July. Looks like our main summer break is on as both sites we have booked are on the list of opening sites. Fingers crossed. Sites up here haven’t been given a date yet however looking at the way we are progressing so far I don’t think they will be far behind.

Very dull here today a big change from the last few days.

Good job I know that Mrs ADD ( or is it? )

Dull day here today. Mrs WN not feeling the Mae West so a short walk just to get some fresh air into her. Having one of those days when everything goes awry. Losing things, not putting correct passwords in and being locked out, getting bad emails, dropping cups. Staying away from anything that might injure me today.

Well done Nicola Sturgeon. She's managed a land grab that now includes Powburn (River Breamish) and Berwick. Watch out Newcastle.

When we ordered our new conservatory it included blinds but because of COVID 19 the measuring and fitting had been delayed. Anyway man came out today to measure up and for us to select design, all of 10/15 minutes. Next 30 minutes taking about caravanning and motorhomes. Apparently he sold his caravan earlier in the year because they only used it for 7 days last year. However he fancies a motorhome but yet to persuade wife. Conversation will no doubt continue when he comes to fit the blinds!!! Now have to ring a man about our TV aerial as we are having problems with HD channels.

I noticed that WN Berwick not opening wonder if it is because it is literally right in the border I’m sure there will be some reason for it. To be honest I don’t think the sites up here will be far behind all the noises are that restrictions will be further eased next week our beer gardens may even be open before those in England wonder what that says about us lol

Francis I fear much the same for McDonalds open in our city for delivery. 4 😱 out of however few for the whole of England.

You watch the beer gardens will open and put the kibosh on the weather!

WN don't touch anything else 😱. Best wishes to Mrs WN.

Bottom of shed door planed some more, bit of clearing off cobwebs and filling morning gone! Not ready to start applying the coating yet.

Guys called in earlier than appointment! To quote for block paving clean - returning to do the job next Thursday. I sure hope I did understand the cost and don't find I missed a zero off..........

Left the puppy in her own for the first time - went to get some cash. Went in the car, lazy but quickest, only 1 of the 3 cash points working, but had cash 😀. As it was outside, not my favourite choice but! Managed that operation with just one glove 😉 and no mask. Oh the times we live in 🤣

Could be worth investing in a pressure washer yourself B2, quite a few available for under £100.

It is rather satisfying watching the dirt  disappear!

We are back from a very nice lunchtime walk with the pooch. It turned nice and warm while we were out as well, so bit of a bonus. Nice woodland walk around outside of one of Yorkshire’s lesser known Abbeys, only four miles from home. Roche Abbey. Had a chat with EH manager of site, they are hoping to have selected outdoor properties open on 4th July if all goes well. Usual RA’s, social distancing guidance in place.

Its been really good enjoying our local countryside, you can often overlook and take for granted some of the lovely places on your doorstep. We must remember the binocs next time....Pooch had a good time, any chance to get wet is a bonus for him😂

KjNelln we have a power washer I've tried but lose where I have and haven't been once the paving wet! I have much to do, all the girl jobs, most of the boy jobs, taking care of OH and a puppy, not to mention sorting out my late mums 🤣🤣. If this last year has taught me anything it's taught me to do what I enjoy and pay someone to do what I don't enjoy or have time for, even if it just eases the pressure, and do the bits I enjoy and stay sane - ish.

We are lucky in that I can make this choice, there are no pockets in a shroud 🤣🤣. Our children are both doing ok and will have our house proceeds to share between them if nothing else. At any rate even if one of us needs care they'll get half, and if we didnt buy when we did we could NEVER afford it. It may drop a bit in value but I don't think it'll ever drop to the figure we paid for it. Regardless it's been our home, not an investment for 35 years so far! Neither of the kids are close enough to help often and say spend it making your time together as good as it can be 😇.  Even OH is taking it better than I expected, the mind is willing but the flesh unable 😢.

Haven't spent much recently so paving, new gates and outside of the house painting already scheduled........ can't let the economy slow down too much 😉

It was supposed to be dull and overcast but the sun came out this morning near Durham and it was quite warm, got colder this afternoon though.

I noticed a lot of cafes are starting to reopen on a take away basis and the ones with outside seating are getting popluar, this is at Truly Scrumptious which is part of a fishery (which was being well used) a few miles outside Durham. Yes it tasted great.

I noticed today that one of our local restaurants is opening up as a takeaway. They’re planning hot evening meal take outs, Saturday afternoon teas and Sunday roast lunch take outs. All paid on line and collected from their car park. Drive in, park and open the boot. Food will be placed in the boot and you drive away. It’s such a good restaurant with fantastic chefs that we want to support them as much as we can. I think we’ll be ordering Sunday lunch this week. 🤗

Yes I hear the cantankerous old S*D has been suffering from a veeerrry sick Hard Disc for about three weeks so he has been taking it out on anybody within hearing , not social, distances innocent !!.  My tame ( for a fee  yell  ) man has fitted a new drive and I'm back on line getting less grumpy by the hour. ( Only 48 Tee-hee mails to scroll thro, bank accounts to check, medications to order and I'll be back to my miserable sarcky old self  wink

Thank you for asking WN, I've been suffering badly from Springwatch Fever __  that blooming Scottish Herbert Mr Buchanan  wittering on about Ospreys indeed  grrrrr. He'll do well to keep out of my way in the near future, I can assure you.

But I'm back, that's enough to start with  laughing

Thanks, it all went well we travelled via Bridport, roads quiet, strange to see empty camp sites. Portland Bill in a distant mist from our end!

B2, dog was ok, a relief. Gardens lovely as usual but very strange with marked paths, benches turned round to stop use, all a bit ghostly. Motor home was great for a picnic, grassy car park wasn't busy. Quite an effort getting the M/H ready, picnic packed (forgot milk for drinks! laughing) Worrying about getting there for booked time etc. Quite tired after all the effort!

Been a mixed few days here weather lovely Monday and Tuesday and then rain most of yesterday so we haven’t done much. Booked the Volvo in for a timing belt replacement and major service next week at a Volvo specialist so that will be a bit out of the wallet but want to get it done for the summer for (hopefully) towing. On that subject Scotgov announced yesterday that the hospitality industry including campsites can provisionally look at opening on 15th July subject to the continuing downward trend of the virus. That’s good news for a lot of businesses that rely on tourism means they will get at least some sort of summer season to try and make a bit of money. We are due to leave for our main holiday on 9th 3 and a half weeks in England hoping we will get now only slight Greg area is can we travel to the border? It’s only a 2 hour drive and we are travelling the same day that the easing of restrictions are due to be announced officially but we shall wait and see how things progress we may need to delay by 5 days if towing to the border is going to be an issue. What strange times we live in. Hoping to be reading everyone else’s news as soon as this site sorts itself out.

Suffering similar problems to Francis and milliehull 😡 frustrating or what?

All very hit and miss on threads. Would love to read the missing posts on here, if the posters have the will to retry I'd appreciate it. I might retype mine in a bit 😉

Actually haven't tried to go back a page, but logging in caused a server error. But going back to latest activity page, which also offers server errors 🤔🤪 I have now managed! I'm about to try reading the server error pages after posting this 🤞

Wet here again this morning, decent rain yesterday. Not warm we have the heating on again today!

EDIT guess what trying previous page caused a server error 😱 I'll type while the going's good 🤣

KjNelln we have a pressure washer, I lose where I've been! It's going to take 2 full days to do. These days I don't have the time, but am in a position to choose to pay for jobs. I do all the girl jobs, lots of the boy jobs, look after OH and the puppy.

If there's one thing the last year has taught me is there are no pockets in a shroud, something I've always known. OH coming round to that now 😉 the head and heart are willing but flesh unable. Thus I do the tasks only I can do and pick those I enjoy and outsource the rest. Got someone coming about new gates and booked for exterior painting end of the month 😀. Not sure savings going to be worth much soon anyway 🤣🤣

Milliehull did your OH get his B12injection sorted?

Brue I hope you had a good day out and it wasn't as wet as here! Hope the dog liked it too 😉

Sorry cant remember others activities but hope you enjoyed them 😉

Right cuppa time over, onward and upwards.
