Can't seem to get to the last page so thought I would try and post from the first page of the thread.
Horrible dreich day here, heating now back on at a low temp to kep the chill off.
OH braving it outside/shed doing wood work, I'm having a break from sewing more masks. Think I might even get round to some housework this afternoon

Should have known all that good weather in May wouldn't last, as soon as its 'summer' we revert to Scottish weather
shouldn't complain really the garden needed it. Hope everyone is ok, seems no one has posted since yesterday. This website doesn't get any better does it.

What we've been up to ...... Well the Caravan has just been serviced advised tyres will need changing next year but we may just change them this year, new tow car on order should get it towards the end of next month as it's having a factory fitted tow bar, its a Ford Kuga the last Ford I had was a Popular so double the amount of forward gears
and also cancelled our July booking for Freshwater East club site as I can't see that being open by then 1 -
I am been puzzled how a few of you have been able to post in this section as I have spent a couple of days trying to get in!!!

No it's not easy! Cannot read the page previous to this either.
Wet and cool here, just been tidying in my room. Unpacked the new hop-up we bought a couple of days back, only to find one of the holding mechanisms is damaged, so looks like I will be spending another while queueing at Argos/Sainsburys again.

Come to Cornwall. Not a problem here !

Must be the first time Cornwall has been praying for rain at a weekend.
I'm in. Can't remember what I've been up to!

MiL not too happy with me. Got a delivery yesterday and cleaned and unpacked everything. Bought a bottle of Cassis for her as she's been good during lockdown. Presented it to her, telling her it was alcohol free one. Tesco had forgotten to take off the security tag.😱😁😁 Thought she might use it on me.
Anyway they kindly brought a new one and refused the bottle of Chardonnay that we hadn't ordered but they had delivered and offered to return to them. Nice free gift so gave it MiL. She combines the two I might have a quite weekend or a riot on my hands. Exciting times.😂
Wonder if anyone will get to read this?

You Can also get in from Nottinghamshire at the moment. Don't know how long it will last.😂
Very warm and humid here but no sign of any thunderstorms this side of the Pennines. Just cooked a whole chicken on the BBQ for dinner. It's resting and cooling a bit, while the chips and other veg cooks, so I don't burn my digits cutting it up. It will go down nicely with a bottle of rose.😋

Posted on page 36544, saw that it posted but now can't get to that page keep getting 'internal error' message. Some of other pages are ok.
Today I've been making masks again, no surprise there. Orders keep coming in and while I have enough material and elastic I'll keep making them (until sites open that is)
OH has now finished the driveway
gates, they are in situ now and looking good. Still need to sort out the ground work but shouldn't take much once its dry weather again. Couple of plants to move out of the way and we will be able to get the caravan in
Hope its dry tomorrow, fancy getting out on the bikes for a ride.

Goodness what a palava trying to get on here 😡. Is anyone from 'on high' going to sort it out anytime soon?
I love your sense of humour WN. I am sure you love your MIL really 😏. I will be interested to hear about the efffect of the cassis combined with the chardonnay. 😁
Daughter, grandson (12).and grand-daughter(10) spent a socially distanced afternoon in our garden today. Such a special time. Heard all about our grand- daughter's Zoom Brownie meetings and grandson's Zoom cookery sessions put on by his swimming club. They are to keep everyone connected. People are being so inventive. Daughter said it felt almost normal. Beautiful sunshine all day today despite heavy showers being forecast. Watched the Queen's birthday parade after they left. We were full of admiration for how they coped with the social distancing.

Never heard of Zoom before this lockdown, MH, but it's been a boon.
Glad to hear people seemed to have survived the great freeze.

Yes, I do love MiL. Good job really.
I do need a break though every now and then. However can't see one happening anytime soon, at least not until we're happy that she's going to be happy on her own. She did mention to OH that she wants to go into Tesco next week at a quiet time. She's also walking twice a day, over 2kms each time and doing excercise on a step machine once a day. She's determined to outlive me.😂 A very fit 87 year old. She'll probably do it as well. (The b*****r).😀0 -
Well done to her 😀

Not been on for a while because of the dreaded server errors, so not read any posts for 3 days or so. While it seems to be working at the moment I'll try and get a post in.
Yesterday was a good day all round. Daughter was through to home town to set up their local shop for opening on Monday, so she dropped off 3 goody bags at 7:00 am.....chocolates, books, trainers, t shirts. We were able to book a service for the caravan for 6 July as our mobile engineer has not in fact retired. The fire brigade dropped off a couple of fire alarms for inside the house. Then around 5:00 pm met up with daughter for a socially distanced 3 ml walk along by the sea, dodging the Sand Martins, and then enjoyed fish and chips while sitting in our separate but adjacent cars.

Well have managed to catch up a bit, but like others can't get pg 3654. I wonder if there are too many emojis on that page. I seem to remember from way back that they were causing problems.
Has been a beautiful hot sunny day here with a gentle breeze to keep the temperature down when out walking. We did have some heavy rain a couple of nights ago, and all the plants are looking so much better for it.

Where is everybody, all given up because of SE's?

Not sure, Nell, but I only got on here by being cheeky !! I clicked on YOUR name, got to your Posts and clicked on your most recent post on W A Y A U T ? and low and behold here I am Sorry if I pinched some of your crisps on my way through though
.Thinking of what some have said about Server Errors, I will try in the morning and if I cannot gain access then I will probably start Mark 11 and just read the earlier posts without logging on ( that does seem to work but it means I have to remember everything then log on again

Nellie
I can't get 3654 either. Interesting point about the emojis. It might depend whether they originate from this website. ie standard set, or from elsewhere. If they are not from here they might require looking up which could cause a problem. I think the old problem with emojis was going back sometime and hasn't been an issue - well at least until now!!! Some threads seem to be completely locked out like the new Corona Concerns thread. I could be wrong but I don't suppose anything will be done over the weekend?

First time I have been able to post on here for days because of the server error problem.
Had a good day, yesterday - celebrating my 70th birthday with the family. Despite Ros getting in a slight panic because the day started out foggy, dull and wet - the sun came out by lunchtime and we had a lovely BBQ in the garden. (I must be righteous??)
Meg (our cockapoo) and Poppy, their cocker spaniel had a lovely time eating sausages and it was good to have our first family gathering for months - can't believe how much the grandchildren have grown!
Was interesting to see that virtually all of my presents came in bottles but at least I now have a very interesting collection of single malts

Belated happy birthday R.
Brilliant sunny day here so walked to the beach at 8am. Even at that time the idiots were out ignoring the distancing rule, still I managed to avoid most of them and had pleasant time. After lunch we walked over to visit my brother taking him some cream horns for our afternoon tea. He was saying that the owner of 2 local CLs is not going to open this year as the clubs requirements are too onerous for a full time farmer, such a pity for our CL ever diminishing stock.
Managed to walk off the Effects of the naughty cream horns by walking just under 13 miles. Good job Norfolk’s flat

That's interesting about CLs Oneputt, I was wondering how some would feel about opening up this year.
On the missing page I'd written about booking a visit to Abbotsbury sub Tropical gardens, taking the motorhome, getting everything ready and having a picnic in the grassy uncrowded car park. The experience was a bit surreal with signed paths throughout and benches turned round to prevent use. It was like an expedition with all the safety kit! I could see others in the same mode. But it was lovely to see the sea en route and do a different sort of walk.
Although some on CT don't like this thread I'm glad to have the social contact.
And belated Happy 70th Birthday to Richard!

Lovely photos brue. They bring back such happy memories. Yes I too love this thread for the social contact.
Belated happy birthday Richard. My OH would be happy to help you out with the single malt if you are struggling!! (I will resist putting an emoji).
Dull and warm here this morning but it looks as though the sun is trying to break through.

It's Sunday isn't it? Each day is much the same so the first thing I say when I wake up is the day of the week.
There's always farmwork, but at weekends if we can, we only do the basic. And I make more of an effort and put a poshish dress on , instead of an old skirt and top.
I made Asparagus soup for dinner as I didn't want the bunch to go off before I had a chance to use it. Amazingly it was one the best soups ever. I'll never be able to recreate it as it was one of those "no recipes were harmed in the making of this dish". Then a tray full of meringues to go with some strawberries my DIL bought.
It seemed to get warmer as the day went on and we were able to sit out until late.
It was announced on Tuesday that the Westmorland Show is cancelled. It was due to take place in September. It's a bit of a blow, but the right thing to do. My husband is the current President and has had no events this year, so has been asked to continue for another year. We've been showing there since 1875 and for many people it is the highlight of the year. It attracts more than the local farmers . . .

Like others I also gave up trying to read and post on this thread, all the servers errors meant I forgot was j was going to post!

Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the garden with our eldest son and his girlfriend, it was great to to see them. They don't have a garden so so they enjoyed being able to sit out in the sunshine. We also included youngest son too via zoom.
The evening brought a thunderstorm, plenty of rain.
Now will try and catch up with a few posts, wish me luck.

Happy Birthday R and R
First time I’ve been able to get on this thread for a couple of days god knows what is going on with this site hopefully they get it fixed soon it’s so annoying.
Strange day yesterday It rained all day until about half 4 and then the sun came out and it was roasting. We made the most of it as we had been stuck in the house all day so cooked steaks on the BBQ and had an enjoyable evening sitting out in our summer house out the back garden amazing how the weather in this country can go from one extreme to the other so quickly. Nice again today so I am going to visit a friend that I haven’t saw since March will have a few beers in his back garden at a distance of course.
Hope everyone else has a nice day

Thank you all for your kind wishes. Millie - quite happy to share it - including a rather nice 18 yr old Glenfiddich which I think will need a bit of courage before I dare open it! 'Made do' with a nice nip of Jura, last night, though!!

Blimey, I have managed to get into this thread😲 Hope everyone is ok, haven’t been able to keep up with things for days. Daren’t do a quote, or post a photo.
We had similar weather here in SYorks yesterday. Woke up to something resembling a sea fret (that might be my lockdown imagination working OD, but anyway, it was misty😂), not cold, but not not warm either. But by 1pm sun came out and it ended up a zingingly hot afternoon in garden. Our little weather station said 27c😲. I had decided to tackle some of the ivy he’ll bent on burying my greenhouse, so stuck with the task, but it was very hot work, and chokingly dusty as well. But progress has been made. The enjoyable bit putting my homegrown dahlias in later in afternoon.
Goldie, not sure how it works, but I hope your OH gets to have another year as President. He will have missed out on so much, such a shame for him. We used to be regular Agricultural Show visitors at one time, mainly when we had horses. They are fabulous events, something for everyone, no matter if large or small. Favourite big shows, Great Yorkshire (of course😁) and we loved The Royal Highland, very different. Smaller shows, we have visited Stithians a few times, and a lovely little Cornish gem at Praze an Beeble a couple of times. We must put Westmorland on our list👍 We went to the Royal Showground at Stoneleigh last year, a classic car show. First time we have ever been as we never got to Royal. It was very sad really, seeing all the different Breed Society buildings, a lot were derelict, the whole place was very strange. There was a thriving Farm shop cum restaurant though, that was very busy. They were selling off a lot of the old show signage inside.
