Where have you seen Shafernaker? Been wondering where he was.

I do OHs hair regular, only do one style, but use trimmer with a number 3 guard all over, the slope guards round each ear, then tidy up hair line with a number one and no guard. Then take off any sprutters with scissors. Heavily reliant upon the customer not wriggling, and remembering my glasses for the fine work. I used to practise on terriers and the horse.....😂

The hair on tv is getting quite funny. Totally agree about Thomas Schanenakers hair. It’ll be embarrassing when he looks back at this years filming. I’m having to cut OH’s hair which is no mean feat. Even highly trained barbers struggle to do it right. He has a lot of hair, which is only short but very thick. If cut wrong, it sticks out all over the place. I have to give him a few days warning that I’m going to tackle it.......enough to psych himself up.😊

Mr Shafernaker is also an artist, a rather good one as well, I could live with some of his artworks.

I can't even get to England!laughing But it's medical related so shouldn't be a problem and by the time they sort themselves out we might be out of lockdown but if they're not quick we might be back in. It'll be like the Hokey-Cokey this lockdown.

I will be visiting our resident barber again this week sometime. I must admit she does a grand job, no number 3's or 5's but all hand cut and my hair grows in different directions so not easy to cut. She's a keeper!

She even had a go at MiLs last week, which believe me is High Drama here in WN household. MiL had 3 changes of clothes last week, all before 9.30 in the morning.smile

Not been out today. No energy. Embracing lockdown.

Got to keep up standards WN. Sounds like my Mum, she can empty a wardrobe in half an hour choosing the outfit for the day. When she finds out the lockdown is still on, (every morning) and she can’t go out, it’s all change again. Sis is having fun making co ordinating facemasks to go with some of her favourite outfits. And hanging the clothes back up in the wardrobe😂

Ttda, when MiL was taken to a garden centre the other week, the first time she'd been out in lockdown, she had to have an outfit that matched her facemask.laughing We called it her Liberation Outfit!laughing

    1. The rain that was forecast for overnight didn't materialize, and the morning was fine and warm for our walk. Then after lunch Flyte and I did a 5 mile walk and it started to rain during the last mile, but not enough to wet us. We then had a couple of showers including a heavy one about an hour ago, which will have done the flowers good.
    2. Good to hear your news, Helen and thebells. What with all the server problems it's taken me ages to catch up with all your posts.

Bakers2 our Specsavers is open but you have to make an appointment fir anything, even repairs, before you are allowed in. Very well prepared. They wear apron, mask and gloves and hand sanitiser for customers. I asked about my cataract op but as I have been refered by them and had my initial apppointment at the hospital it is now out of their hands. They said they are still referring people though.

I had to laugh when I saw Thomaz Shaffenakers hair - very 1970s!! I have snipped away at my hair every couple of weeks or so and have discovered my natural colour is now completly white 😱. I have had a couple of go's at OH's hair with clippers and scissors - now tidy if not elegant😅. The  hairdressers are going to he very busy sorting out all our mistakes!!

Had another Zoom family bingo game followed by a nice catch up. Great fun although OH finds it a bit difficult to hear very well. I must investigate using the PC speakers on our laptop.

I used to cut OH's hair with hairdressing scissors but due to customer complaints I suggested he went to the hairdressers, where there were further complaints about the costs! Then he bought a trimmer which neither of us are good at using! wink

I keep wondering why people are looking so different in the village, mostly because friends and neighbours are standing so far apart they don't appear to know each other and their longer hair has changed their looks. wink

Some of us are fortunate in having to visit a barber's. A little thinning out at the back by OH with scissors and a scrape over the top and round the neckline with a razor and that's me done for a few days.laughing

I've been cutting OH's hair ever since we got married, ( he owes me a fortune) until recently always with scissors but we now have a set of electric trimmers. No 3 at the back and sides, followed by just the clippers around the neck and I still finish the top off with the scissors.

I've been cutting my hair since lockdown, its getting to the stage it needs another tidy up though. My sister is desperate for a hairdresser I would do it for her but as her husband is shielding I can't.

Day off today, didn't do a lot of anything then this afternoon we went to have a look around Dobbies but the queue was longer than we were prepared to wait so went for a nice drive instead. Don't tell Nicola but it was more than 5 miles.

Very sunny yesterday, we had a nice afternoon with DD and Callum in their garden, them up on the terrace, us down on the grass under the sun shade.  Afternoon tea, well sandwiches, cakes and non alcoholic fizz, was provided and we had a good  chat.

Dropped off the big outside table we  had promised them, and some plants for the garden, and DD has now assembled the table, with "help" from Callum.

Not so sunny today.  Oh has made a long list  of jobs for me, so, as long as it does not rain, I will be starting to clean the back deck any minute.  Then it will have to be treated, twice, which will need another 2 dry days.

Back to normal this morning so off for a walk. The traffic was noticeably quieter as the road works on the A55 was supposed to have been finished by today thus the diversion down the main road next to the village has gone as well. You can cross the road in safety now.

A good walk as we missed out yesterday. Back for lunch. A bit of trimming of a large Leylandii "tree" we have in the front garden. Smelt lovely. No birds were disturbed in the trimming of this tree.

Had the caravan dealers on the phone from Preston wondering whether or not we still wanted the service done next month. They said they would understand if we didn't and offered to let us have the name of a mobile engineer they can recommend. Still pondering as it might be an excuse to get a couple of days in as it's passed the 4th. when sites may be opening. Doesn't look like any sites opening here in Wales any time soon.

Gosh this site is so slow today yell

WN Our caravan service was due just after lockdown so was cancelled.  Pioneer rang us a few days ago to re-schedule so it is booked in for next week.  I hope the free caravan wash is still included. smile. When we drop the keys off to them we shall take the opportunity to check the caravan as well as we haven't been able to do so since before we went to Tenerife in early March.

OH needed to make an appointment for his next B12 injection today.  Usually it is made automatically after each injection but for some reason that wasn't possible last month.  What a palava!! No online appointments can be made - you have to ring the surgery.  It took ages to get through and then for some reason it took ages for the receptionist to make the appointment.

As OH and to some extent me find it difficult to hear during our Zoom get togethers with the family as my laptop speakers are not very good we decided to try our daughter's suggestion of taking the laptop upstairs and plugging the PC speakers into it.  It worked a treat but as the PC tower is on a floor level shelf meant us grovelling about on the floor and pulling the tower out.  We decided to re-organise things so disconnected everything and moved the tower onto the desk.  It took a while but we managed it and everything is now up and running.  I am glad I took a photo on my phone first of where everything was plugged into the back of the tower.smile

I am pleased you had such a lovely afternoon with Callum and your daughter Kj. It really lifts the spirits doesn't it.

Our GP is arranging for the Phlebotomist to visit our house to carry out blood tests as my OH and son require non routine blood tests, as they are both shielding. I got the impression from the receptionist if it was deemed routine then it would be postponed.

Looking forward to the easing of shielding in Scotland next week, not a total relaxation but better than nowt!

It has been murder watching folks out and about, going up to the nearby golf course whilst we are kept tied to the house!

    Happy unpaid carers week!

Just been informed that our mobile caravan service engineer has packed up for good so will have to be on the look out for another. Such a shame as the guy was good, not over expensive, and lived not too far away either.

Well there have been few posts to read here 🙁 I wonder why 🤣.

We had some decent rain, but not enough - but then we're never satisfied 😉. Certainly damp on the grass just after 5am the pup has had to learn paw wiping! But this morning I had the hosepipe on the 2 fairly recently planted berberis as I think they may have got missed in some/all evening hosepipe soaking, by their nature they are tucked right at the bottom of the garden - to deter the nice folk who lifted our fence panels earlier this year 😤. After I've eaten breakfast and dressed, yes up very early but not dressed as I would be at normal getting up time 😂, I'm going to make a hosepipe extension for the last 5 or 6 feet so I can leave the hosepipe actually on them - they are competing with a couple of leylandii for moisture!

Regaining my confidence on puppy investment, I think the 'trainer' attitude was enough to make me question the where's why's etc of life and receiving probate for mum etc compounded it all. Still wouldn't recommend the trainer 😉😂

Seems warmer this morning, thankfully - although the heating did come on first thing at 18c 😀. We've had the gas fire on low for the last 2 evenings, such has the drop in temperature been! Also much brighter which helps the mood 😀.

Sorted the bottom of the shed door yesterday, OH had done as much as he could but needed to remove the door as not able to position himself to do it in situ - I managed. Very odd not to have a 'final tweak' when opening and closing. Of course it now means it's ready to be recoated, I have found some of the treatment but need to go somewhere to purchase more! One job is never the end of the scheme!

Right time to shift, enjoy your day folks, stay safe and post some updates as you can and the site permits

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bakers2. It won't be long before you don't have to let the puppy out so early. We now have a "teenager" who doesn't want to get up. This is handy as OH has to go out first to repair the badger exits and entrances otherwise we'd have an escapee on our hands. 🐕

Getting probate must be a relief although no doubt it brings further desicions.

Today is take the motorhome out day, we're off to visit some gardens.

Good morning. Nice to see some folks on.here again 😃. I do wish someone on high would sort this site out - please 😁.

Bakers2 when emailing a friend yesterday I mentioned that one job seems to be leading to another and there seems to be no end to it. Will we have time to go out if we are ever allowed 🤔. I definitely need to get out for a walk today. OH not keen, says he has too much to do. I think we are getting institutionalised. Getting probate must be a relief. A small step forward.

I hope you are allowed out soon robsail. The situation in Scotland.seems to be improving.

Have a lovely day brue. I am glad you are feeling better.

Last night my husband had an important Zoom meeting (a screen full of participants) so as he was using the main Desktop PC I spent the afternoon tidying, dusting, polishing in case anyone could see the state we live in. But his "photo" was so small it didn't matter. But at least everywhere looks good now - for a while at least.
