Been out to edge the lawns. Had to put my woolly hat on. 2 different seasons in 2 days.

Will finish my coffee, wrap up and toddle off down the lanes for a brisk walk.

Sold our first car, a Wolsey, to buy tickets to tour America thanks to Freddy Laker. We got returns to NY for about £100 and another £100 bought us go anywhere rover tickets around the States with Delta. Had a smashing month touring all of the touristy bits like New Orleans, Grand Canyon, San Francisco etc etc. Had to say it was the best thing about that car!

Just spent a couple of hours in the garden lopping branches from a neighbours tree which is blocking light and interfering with some of our solar panels.  Stopped for now due to high winds.  Fortunately our garden waste bins will be emptied tomorrow 🌳🌳

My first car was Mk2 Consul. Absolute rust bucket, about 50% Isopon. Used to get 25mpg and 25 miles to a pint of oil.

It has been lovely and sunny here in Glasgow since we surfaced around 9.  Blue sky and fluffy clouds.

I expect I will be sent to do a lot more tidying downstairs this afternoon.....OH "inspected" my efforts so far and was NOT impressed. Apparently I am disorganised.......she is probably right!

I have gathered up some stuff to dispose of, but Must admit I have not yet put much at all away in the empty cupboards created by relocating other stuff.  OH has offered to come and "help"...... surprised

KjellNN I feel for you and your wife. I know exactly where she's coming from! Opposites attract and I think that's what makes a good partnerships - but there are times......

Weather has completely changed here, grey, windy and cool just 13c.

Washing dried, garden tasks completed so got in a bit of a sit before the change. Much more plane activity!

Son tells me much needed rain arrived with them (peterborough way) and likely to be in for the afternoon, hope it comes here we could use it and then the greyness is acceptable. I had to water the large tubs in the front garden - they were really dry 😱

Need to make some more masks for friends so might do that or read in the conservatory. Oh go on then it's the weekend, reading wins 🤣

Very cold here today. Quite a shock after yesterday. The family of great tits are ready to fledge and we’re hoping they stay put for a few days to keep warm. We’ve rigged the wildlife camera up to try and catch them go.
Just finished the next order for our farm shop delivery. We’ve decided to order their “freezer filler” meat pack to stock up the garage freezer.
Bakers2 I don’t understand your rude registration .....will ask OH!

The wind's building up here. Went out and got all the bunting in, just one flag to go, will let OH hoist that down! Strong winds 40-50mph forecast but still dry just now. Having another easy day but will be out for a dog walk soon.

KJ. I would like to do a bit more clearing out of cupboards but there's no where to put the unwanted contents. No charity shops open and we can't take certain things to the re-opening tip as we've been told it will have to go to landfill which no-one wants to happen.

Our "normal" walk takes us past some Sheep in 2 fields. Every time we've passed one of the fields the Sheep are lying down, very heavy with lambs to be and shaggy coats. Late lambers and resting from the warm weather. Other field full of gambolling lambs.

Haven't been that way for 2 days so surprised to find them all on their feet and shorn of fleece. Plus carrying some extra packaging.surprised Bakers2 car registration explains all. Tupping heck I thought.smile

It is a problem!    We have sorted out stuff for charity shops and put it all in a box, then we have stuff the children will want some of.  After they have decided there will no doubt be more to go to charity shops.  Mainly dishes and glasses, some ones we no longer use, but mainly stuff that belonged to MIL.

Not that much actual rubbish as yet, but quite a bit of paper for recycling, which will be collected this Tuesday, then we can fill it up again  laughing.     We have far too much paperwork in the house......old instruction books etc.

Oh I wish I'd stuck to reading 🤔

Instead I couldn't resist tinkering at mask making again. Tried a different pattern, courtesy of YouTube. I actually prefer it but need to shorten the elastic and pleat slightly differently as I got a gap at the edge. I tried THIS one. I'll start afresh tomorrow.

Sorry about the reg no embarassed but it was used as an example of what to look for - I only managed the very obvious ones  and I was never asked to check the numbers to be used and thus no mistakes are down to me 😇

Very windy here now but still no rain. Chilly enough to have had to put on long sleeves over sleeveless but still in shorts 😀

My DIL's two lambs turned up about two or three weeks ago now although one of them was a bit iffy for a day or two. On a 50/50 grass and milk diet now apparently.

We've had the lot today, sun, wind, rain and snow.

Was out in the garden doing odd bits needed a jumper on but it was nice enough. Came in for lunch and we got a rain shower. Then this afternoon the wind really got up and we had snow flurries.  Wind now dropped sun out but it getting really cold. Will need to go and put the plants back in the greenhouse.

Made a few more face masks today, our eldest son got in touch last night, to say his wife's friend saw hers and wondered if I would make her some. All made and ready to post tomorrow along with a couple of the head bands for them to try.

My dad's first car was a Ford Anglia 482 EWJ, strange how I remember that  reg when I can't even remember my own car laughing

Spoke to soon another flurry of snow yell

Dad's second car was a Ford Consul, column change, front seat was a bench type. My big sister learn to drive in that car 337 CWB. I learnt in Dad's Avenger (Chrysler?)  My first car of my very own was a Chrysler Alpine.

My dads first car (that I can remember) was in Hong Kong and was a Ford Prefect, can’t remember the registration.  His car I liked the best was the Morris Oxford he brought in Germany, the reg was TUU43

Wind is still strong here and had a little rain this afternoon.  Got about 75% of the lopping of the neighbours tree.

Cold, windy and grey most of the day with just enough rain to dampen the ground. Sun has now come out, with a few white clouds but it's still rather blowy. Not done very much today except  a bit of weeding, read a bit and then a 5 ml walk this afternoon, wearing hat, gloves, coat but still in my shorts, although I did ditch my sandals for socks and trainers.

Dads first car was a 1955 VW Beetle PRM 392. It was bought in 1962 at a garage that felt like it was in the back of beyond. In 1966 we moved to the same village!

We would drive from home, in Bolton, to North Wales for a day out with Mum and Dad in the front,Grandma, Grandad and my sister in the back and me and my brother sitting over the engine behind the back seat-this were the days!

Cant remember my first cars reg.

Lovely views indeed Nellie. Is that Furness Abbey? We must get across to explore sometime.

Tda, it's a view across to Piel Island and the Castle. It's normally reached by small ferry from Roa Island, but you can walk over on a very low tide if you know the route or have a good guide.

Below should be a photo of Furness Abbey but from an unusual view point, fingers crossed.

Cold, grey and very windy here but no rain. If it is going to be such a miserable day it could at least have the decency to rain as the garden needs it. Had a zoom chat with the family this afternoon.  It took a while to get all five households logged on but we made it in the end.  It was so lovely to get all the family together even if it was virtually.

My Dad's first car was a Ford Cortina, mine was a Ford Anglia and when I met OH he had a Singer Gazelle.  I can't remember the reg of any of them. Our eldest son can remember the reg of all the cars we owned during his childhood.laughing
