What are you all up to

Firstly "She" doesn't do any wiping!
It's what the servant is for (yours truly).
The product is called "dp Extra Strength" White Vinegar. Can be used on lots of things, apparently. The servant uses a lint free small towelling cloth. I used to use a vinegar solution like B2 but it literally didn't cut the mustard.
The trouble is that we can't remember where we got it from. It's not a recent purchase but Mrs WN found it the other day and neither of us can remember the shop. I think it might have been Home Bargains. It's the most likely of our shops.
Edit - The Memory woman thinks it might have been Wilkinsons or Wilko. We did visit the dentist in early March in Chester and there is a Wilko there so it's quite possible we picked it up then.

For the windows, until recently, I used to go around with a long handled soapy water thingy and then a squeegee but OH bought a Karcher look alike window cleaner from ebay and it's very good, just have to charge it up, £15 well spent and I hope the novelty doesn't wear off...

thebells I use a microfibre cloth, purchased from wherever they have them for the best price, Lidl are my current ones.
I struggled with windows and streaks for years, I have some skrim - recommended by the window cleaner, sort of loose weave flax/linen material, squeezgy things, old tea cloths etc. I used hot soapy water, Fairy 😉 in my case others are available, and cloth to apply. Polished it with one of the said cloths or over with a squeezgy, never was I pleased. Remember to use circular movements with the cloth, my German aunt, known in the family as aunty plenty polish!, insisted. She cleaned the bottom if kettles and washing up bowls - there's always someone who'll give you a guilt complex - and that was as a kid 😱.
But I swopped to making my own white vinegar solution and am very pleased. Cleaning windows is now a fairly swift operation as opposed to hard work.
Give it a go I'm sure you wont be disappointed.
You can of course used malt vinegar, but that does have the aroma 😉.
Vinegar is great for descaling kettles, round taps etc we live in a very hard water area so I know!

Chilly day but nice and sunny so old fleece jacket on and into the garden once again. Decided to tidy up a bush that had just finished flowering, noticed it was all old in the middle so instead of a tidy its had a massive cut back. More shredding for OH once he's finished the raised bed.
After the cut back it gave me much better access into that area of the garden so its had a dig over and tidy up.
It got very windy around 15.30 then the black clouds dropped a load of rain, didn't last long but long enough to make us pack up for the day.
Had a call fro our local Toyota garage to say they are now back open with a skeleton staff. They are only working on vehicles that have warranty work and recalls scheduled. Our's was due to go in just as the lockdown kicked in, its now going in next Tuesday.
I've ordered more elastic and material to make masks, elastic has gone up by £2 material was the same price. Lots of places are sold out of both so happy to have got an order done. My niece has asked me to make some for her family and work mates.

I meant to be fitting a splitter charger to the MH today, but the new carpet I ordered arrived turned up.
So spent a small part of the day fitting in the new MH carpet. For an old girl (a year older than I thought, chassis was built in 1994 first owner 1995) Molly is starting to look more like a home rather than just a functional living space.
So decided to put the engine start battery on charge just to keep it top line for when the barriers come down (well a security fence I have built around Molly!).
Then sat and enjoyed the view on this lovely crisp and clear day, if you can zoom in, there is a ship by the lamppost and you can see across Lyme bay to Exmouth and maybe to start point.

For the outside a mixture of TFR (truck traffic film remover with wax)with water in a bucket using my caravan wash brush and then hose down and leave to dry (if it is hot weather might need a quick polish with a micro fibre cloth to remove wax spots).Indoors I use Autoglym fast glass using a micro fibre cloth to polish.Does not take long to do the 8 windows on a bungalow!

We have 39 separate panes of varying sizes, not counting the front and back doors, or the internal doors! They all have multiple small panes, but some of the main windows are very large.
We have a Karcher, which I find very good, but it does take me a few days to get round them all.

Been stalking this for a few weeks now and found it by accident today, this is just north of the Tanfield railway station at St Andrews' House and engine sheds and the preserved line is just behind the yellow bushes.
A cold windy day again up here.

Same old, same old...the last couple of days we've had fine and sunny weather but a cool wind, and still no rain to speak of. Morning and afternoon walks each day, varying the route each time, so managing to get the mileage in. OH now has a problem as a front capped tooth has broken off the pin and our dentist is closed and only available as an emergency if one is suffering from severe toothache or swelling. It could well be a while before she can get it fixed. The annoying thing is that she had a dental appointment booked for the week of the lockdown so that was cancelled. Had it been the week earlier things would have been sorted then!

Ah, a turntable. We have the remnants of one near us.

Yes we loved it too, in fact they still tell the stories of how I bought a day pass once and made them do the whole trips four times.
The turntable is up the path to the right of the main car park.

Nellie, our chemist sells a temporary spray in filling but I'm not sure it will any good for a front tooth. This is more for a molar. Mrs WN has a temporary filling in there at the moment and our Dentists recommended it if she gets a problem.
Ask the chemist if they can help.

Will do, thanks. At least now she doesn't feel such a fool wearing a mask when we go out to the shops.

Another sunny day and not as cold as wind had swung round to the NW. Walked by river, along the beach and then under the cliffs to get a better view of the Sand Martins. There was a bit of dodging the spray and some large boulders to climb, proving we aren't as agile as we used to be, but still good fun

Watch out for the Corolla virus.

Geez don’t give the conspiracy theorists another mission CY, they’ll be Torching Toyota dealers.

They also found a turntable when doing HS2 works at Curzon Street station Birmingham and OH remembers being taken by his dad when he was a small boy.
Great photos CS.
Very wet here and now raining again but should warm up from Saturday and drier as we are off to friends to celebrate a late xmas, apparently the tree is already up!!!!

I like the photograph of the Sand Martins Oneputt.
We were up early this morning, well, early for us, and in Tescos and out again before 8.30. Meant to say Mrs Wn was the shopper. I just chauffeur these days.
Our joy was unbounded today as we bagged another Tesco slot in a fortnight. We use these to deliver the heavy household items, you know like a crate of wine for the Mother-in-Law, which I think is a good swap ( before anyone else gets in with the old joke).
A pleasant walk after lunch in brightening skies.

Different walk for us today, an old haunt, beautiful nature reserve. Two nests, swans and great crested grebes. You will have to look closely for grebes, but they are in middle of picture.
