Congratulations con the puppy, B2, I'm sure you and OH will have lots of fun, and a few annoying moments too, par for the course.

Today has been the warmest day so far up here. Was able to get the side waxed on the car but the roof was too warm to do, so that's a job for early tomorrow. Although it's been sunny for most of the day we've had some thin cloud too but very little wind, and no rain again. The ground is starting to crack all over the place. Spent a relaxing afternoon sitting in the garden, reading and taking in the sun before my walk with Flyte, down round the amphitheatre today for a change.

No satellites bit cloudy to the west. But hedgehog family. 2 small ones came out and entertainment back under the shed when the security light came on. At the same time I heard snuffling beside me 2 more 😃😃😃. One happy bunny 😆.

Not bad photo for point and shoot on the phone in total darkness 😂

Thanks for the good wishes for our puppy arrival. You've time to talk me out of it 😉. They are all adorable, one very small but adventurous girl and 2 sleepy girls - erring on the sleepy sort at the mo. We are 1st to choose but as she said that won't happen for a couple of weeks, and if she gave us a puppy in the box to bring home would you be disappointed if not your 1st choice??

    What a lovely photo Bakers2.

We have spent the day working in the garden today but hopefully tomorrow will be more sitting. 😁

Our SIL who teaches technology is making face shields for the NHS. Instead of running his planned but now cancelled marathon he is raising funds for the materials. We are very proud of him.

Second day out on the bike (which has lived in the shed for 8 years!). Managed 3.4 mile round trip from our house to pedestrian tunnel in Jarrow. I remember being able to cycle all the way through aforementioned tunnel to North Shields fish Quay and back again without breaking a sweat....sadly I think it will be a while before I'm capable of doing it now: hopefully it will coincide with the reopening of the cafes and bars on the fish quay😂

"Last night we took our caravan to our weekend site. I think a complaint is in order about the approach road. It might be OK for tractors etc, but a bit rough for cars and caravan."

And to think folk complain about the approach road at Cirencester Park!  wink

Enjoy your weekend "away" Goldie! smile

Goldie I'm not envious at all, 🤔😭. Have a great break.

I've always said you need almost as much for an overnight as a week. Toothbrush, toothpaste etc with other toiletries are the same whether one night or 30 plus nights 😀.

Rocked to sleep by the sound of the beck - jolly safe as not rain forecast. Rest well, and remember social distancing 😂

Early morning mist gone now so bright and sunny day

i heard somewhere that there was an overall shortage of flour in the country apparently the shortage is to do with packaging it

Yes Keith Floyd - more like a massive slurp than a sip though! wink

I hear Mary Berry is also partial but rather more discreet!  laughing

Yes the mills have had to swap over from large commercial packaging to smaller domestic bags, that's one of the reasons for delays  our mill supplier told us about. Plus a massive increase in orders from everyone.

I too like Doom Bar M it’s the house ale at Hillhead club site in Brixham every time I have one it makes me think of all the happy times we have had down there over the years. Hopefully won’t be long until we can get out in the van again.

Just got back after walking Rosa ,  it was almost to warm out of the breeze,

We  (well rosa) had a play with one of her "playmates" while the owner and i had a "shout" to each other,he is a French national ,and was saying that there is a growing amount of his country men/women who are very much hoping that until there is some real protection from Corvid 19 that Mr Macron keeps  France for the Frenchsurprised

1 ) thank you all for the name of the Drinking Chef !!

( No need to delete repeated responses - I just put 'em down to Echoes in my Studio { Spare Bedroom  innocent  } )

2 )  I've just received my latest order of bird food and it has all turned up in individual triple thickness paper sacks { 12.5 kg a time } instead of  an enclosing woven plastic sack encompassing them three at a time. Reduces the plastic use [ good smile ] and makes it much easier for me to manhandle [ very good smilelaughingsmile ] so Brian has now got 7 paper sacks*** free to a good deserving home  innocent

I actually prefer Tribute when down in Cornwall, but needs must and I was in a bit of a rush to get back and look after the dogs so that Mrs M could enjoy her zumba session  (courtesy of something called "zoom"?) undisturbed!  wink

Nice big garden you have there Brue.smile

Another day another door. Only 9 more to go and then I'll almost certainly have the skirting boards to do.

Lovely day here. Our road that we walk down most days saw more road traffic today for some reason. Perhaps coincidence or more people ignoring the guidelines.

Took a second walk today, is that very naughty.  Walked by the river to the beach.  On our return we followed a couple with their parrots on their shoulders.  Have seen them before but not for a couple of years 🦜🦜

Hope he finds an outlet for them Millie. OH's Men's shed have been making them for weeks, now trying to find someone who needs them.

So far everyone they have called have said  "thank you very much but we are fine" They have been on the main NHS site offering them to any hospital, care home or front line staff like Paramedics. They have had no response from 'Donate to NHS' appeal.

Really disappointing given the cost and effort that has been put into making these things. Everything you hear on the news, TV, Radio says they are crying out for them yet when you offer, its a completely different story.

Took a little bike ride and ended up on the Tanfield railway, closed of course but you are always allowed to wander about even in 'pre-lockdown closed'.

Worth a trip, in times to come, to see the 'oldest engine shed' in the world and they have trains running weekends and through the summer.

    Lovely sunny day.
