And the same from me too, M. Should be nice and quiet down there, so little chance of catching the dreaded virus, hopefully.

Shame about the rain, tda. Hope that the fields dry out a bit soon and that the roads aren't flooded when we finally get up that way.

Fingers crossed that you are away to get away to Somerset, Helen. Have you booked a CL yet or are you going to use a club site? There are plenty of nice places to visit without having to mingle too much with others.

Bit of a grey day here yesterday so caught the bus into Uxbridge. Bad move. OH had a spree in M&S and I ended up buying her a newer iPad in the Cex store as an early birthday present. Hopefully she won't drop the alarm clock on this one and crack the screen.

Helen, if you want to see Stourhead you can take dogs in after 2pm for a walk around the lake etc.

Hope Moulsey has a good break too.

Might get down to the Dorset coast today. There has been a big rock fall at Hive beach. The dangerous overhang is no more.

Spent a fair part of the morning SULKING !!

Had to visit Pharmacy to find out if they had sourced my needles for the insulin pens I use.  Five staff and me !! Eventually they agreed that the Well Group did not have them in, so off to the surgery half way across town I went.

New locks on the doors with high & low level 'push buttons'  ( But I never got my money back**  wink  ) But quite a goodly number of patients waiting for their 'due time'  Gave my paperwork to receptionist " OH Dear " she said and headed off into the back office. A good five mins later out she pops and said, Sorry we will have to provide a nice fresh new scrip for them -- twill be ready tomorrow afternoon ! So now I'm back at home doing a good load of laundry because I'm SULKING !!  So THERE  tongue-out

Lovely to see them on the beach Moulesy, our newest arrival is a digger too but on a much smaller scale, she definitely won't reach Australia!! wink

JVB, what attentive and thoughtful service for your meal, good to hear. smile

Even though we are dogless at the moment there is nothing that makes us smile more than seeing dogs enjoying themselves, running around preferably. Good to see, M.

Had an easy drive up from Fareham today to North Wales. Decided to do it all in one go. Took 5½ hours with half an hour stop for lunch. Quite a lot on Motorways still being converted to "Smart" so a constant flow.

Now shattered. Usually too far for us that mileage but weather locally tomorrow forecasts gusts up to 50mph so didn't want to delay.

Well done Tricky - I expect you're physically tired and a bit emotional. Can't believe it's 5 years since you lost your wife, but that doesn't make it any easier.

Yes more 'me time' but not really as you'd envisioned it 😢. Sadly it happens to lots of us adjusting isn't always easy. OH and I are coming to terms with a 'different to what we'd planned' future. Whatever you do in the future don't forget to keep us posted 😉 we're a nosy, no concerned bunch 😉. Hopefully travel to IoW won't be restricted. Go and enjoy, treat yourself kindly 💕

Whereabouts on the IOW are you heading triky? My BiL and his wife are returning to the mainland at the end of this month, after 18 months living near Colwell Bay. We visited a couple of times and thought it a nice place to live. Good luck for the future 👍

Glad you made it home safely wherenext.

Mousey great to see the dogs enjoying the beach, our last collie loved digging the boys would shout dig dig and we ended up with some big holes.Bodie however prefers a tennis ball.

We are now in Somerset, just wandered down to a local watering holes to enjoy a pint of Butcombe or 2.laughing and a bit of WiFi as no signal on the CL.

HelenandTrevor are you settled on site? Hope it's nice. Enjoy and stay safe.

We've got everything crossed, applied for another dog today. Likely to hear in two weeks. I'm saying nothing more in case I jinx it. Lovely photo moulsey.

Pottering day, haircut and contact lenses check. Town extremely quiet. Opticians say loads of folk cancelling appointments because of the virus or not turning up at all. Instead of 13 or so appointments it's more like 4 a day.

Son says they had long meeting today to discuss the situation, small recruiting company, each to nominate the office they'll work out of, to ensure that if someone surcomes it's contained within the one office. Any cough cold symptoms immediate work from home, networking evening tomorrow cancelled. Its presumed they'll be less face to face more face time/Skype.

Delighted to discover a large amount of frogs spawn in the pond. Been rather mild and sunny, lovely drying day for washing, it all smelt nice!

    Edit posted together Helen 😀

Lovely to see them on the beach, M, and pleased that the journey went well. Flyte isn't a digger, but will chase the odd bird that he spies for a short while.

Good to hear that you got home safely. Think that you did right getting away before the forecasted winds.

All the very best, tricky. Hope that you are able to find a place to your liking on the IoW.

B2 fingers crossed that the right dog comes along for you.

Helen, enjoy your stay down there. Are you by any chance on Barrow Farm CL. It's one we've stopped on a couple of times, not far from Frome.

Easy drive up to Greetham, Rutland this morning. Another fine warm day, although the wind has got up this evening.

Well done Pete, enjoy your retirement and if your like a lot of us you won’t know where you found time to go to work.  Spent day pottering in the garden, couple of tortoiseshell butterfly’s in the garden.  Hopefully the weather won’t take a dive

Fingers crossed B2 for the pooch of your dreams, we certainly didn't plan on what we have now! (But she's lovely all the same. 🐾🐾)

Good to hear some of you are out and about.

I spotted a frog sunning itself by our pond, we had better weather today. If the wind drops it will feel a lot warmer tomorrow, the forecast is dry, hooray!

By 'eck it's all happening out there ain't it surprised.  So very pleased that it's all coming together for you Pete, in time for a Spring Tour in that Concorde perhaps  undecided Whatever --  I just hope you enjoy yourself as so many other 'retired' members are doing .

All the Animal World appears to be awakening now, feeding the birds seems like a non-stop pastime and even the blackbirds are squabbling nonstop before I've managed to open their food shop { shed }. Ah Well as the scientists say, at least I've got most of the laundry done, with just three loads to do in the morning, then I can start getting mucky again embarassed

Take care of your selves and those 'oldsters' as the Americans are wont to call them.

Gorgeous bright sunny day in Crewe, a tad cool but double glazing came to the rescue cool. Lots of white fluffy type clouds whizzing past so all is well on the weather front, last load of washing in so should be well tumbled by lunch-time and I can spend a full afternoon sudokuing away 'til my neighbour arrives. He's cancelled his Bruges weekend and settled for York instead, but he still needs to give me the Birds Menu.

So I'll be able to self isolate { actually it's called hiding  } in the pigeon loft - should be safe unless I contract Bird Flu or a modified version of "Ducks Disease" surprised
Enjoy this sunshine everybody 'cos Spring Proper is on it's way  smile

We awoke to a glorious sky. Metcheck said sunshine and clouds. Put the jeans in the wash. Pegged them out. Realised it was blowing a bit. Walked to the dentist for 10am wind stronger. Scale and polish came out, thick cloud, walked to the scenic way home for a gander had to take shelter and call OH to get jeans off the line. Heavy rain and hail. Beautiful again now seems more like April showers 😲. Sun really warming the conservatory - bliss. Can't recall the last time it did.

Enjoy your day folks. We've got friends coming over be nice to catch up. We've all decided we're germ free as far as we know 😃

We woke to snow on the ground and still falling, but by the time we had breakfast it was brightening up.  No snow down in town, even some sun off and on.

DD is working from home today, as usual on a Thursday, and has just had word that her office is closing and they are all to work from home meantime.

DS, who works for Cisco, also from home, permanently, has also had word that all Cisco offices are now closed.

SIL, who is a teacher has been told by the head that the school will quite possibly be closed soon.  At least then he will be home to look after Callum should the nursery be closed!

Glad to say the new Conservatory is now finished. It was done by the same company that did our windows, doors, porch and soffits of the course of a number of years. The guys that do the work have always been exceptionally good.

Went to Waitrose today and found even more empty shelves and not a single toilet roll available. I am not sure its panic buying in the true sense of the word but people stocking up for possible isolation. They have a 25% offer on wine at the moment but that didn't seem to be causing as much interest!

Another walk to the Grand Union canal today but via a different route and a bowl of chips in the pub. Less muddy so OH came back today not covered in mud after a fall. surprised

Bit of a problem after yesterday's excursion. All the electrics dead. Traced to a blown fuse on the water pump which seems to have packed up. Off home tomorrow so will leave it until after we get back to start having the entrails out of the system.
