Hi @Frank128 and @nelliethehooker. Absolutely no problem with constructive criticism of the way the new CT works. If things are not working correctly then it is important to flag them up so that they can be passed on to the developers.
I have edited some of the posts above to help foster a positive response between posters and to avoid the discussion going off track. @Rowena has a copy of the original posts, so please do contact her via the Community Manager email address if you have any further queries or should you require any further explanation.

Hi everyone. To reiterate David's comment above. we welcome constructive feedback and want to ensure the forum grows and develops to meet our members needs. Without your feedback that wouldn't be possible. However, we need to ensure no posts contravenes our community guidelines. I hope this info helps.

Sorry you are having problems @skodaman. I'm at a bit of a loss to know where to start, to be honest. I can't even find the 'Let's Get Started' bit. When I go to 'Find a UK Campsite' (booking), I get this....
.......and all is working fine for me on the Samsung phone.... It could very well be related to the device you are using. If there is sny way you could provide more details, I'll try and help - and I'm sure others will too.
Fingers crossed we can help sort it out...

Nice to see the red NEW box now vanishes as soon as a post is read instead of hanging around until the screen refreshes.👍🏻

Something is wrong with the "latest post" notification on this section, or at least it is on my kindle, as it is showing the "most recent by" post by tinwheeler on Jan 2 2025
EDIT This post is now showing the "most recent by" nelliethehooker but with a Jan 2 2025 date, not the time 19:16 as it should.

What do the "point"s refer to in the "announcement" line at the bottom of each new discussion, and what is the reasoning behind them being included?

Hi @nelliethehooker . I presume you mean the bits I've marked in the following screen cap....
To be honest, I've no idea. I'll tag @Rowena - perhaps she knows....

I retract that as, this morning, it reverted to leaving the NEW marker in place.

That's it @DSB I just can't see any point (sic) in it! Did you notice the other anomaly I mentioned in my first post last night? When I opened up CT tonight I see that it said that the latest post was by @Tinwheeler on Jan 2, 2025 although he posted today at 1.05pm

Hi @nelliethehooker.... Yes, Nellie... I did notice it, but hadn't a clue how to respond... 🤣🤣... Haven't heard that before!! It sounds to me Kindle related, but haven't a clue how, where or why!! Perhaps another one for @Rowena to mention to tbe developers!!

@DSB your post above is appearing to have been posted also on 2 Jan 2025 not yesterday, and there is no notification of a new post, which it obviously was.

@Rowena what happened to the "Stickies" that were at the start of a number of sections on the previous version of CT. Can they be resurrected? There has been a few queries where they would have been helpful.

I haven’t been on CT for a while. No problem creating a new password for this forum, however my iPad doesn’t recognise that there are two different logins now and save both separately on the keychain. It tried to use my new CT password to log me in to the main CAMC site and deleted the old one. I created a new password to get into the main site and saved it on the keychain, however it replaced the CT password. I had to create another CT password to get in now and make a note of it separately so it doesn’t delete the other password again. Unfortunately means I’ll have to look it up and type it in manually every time. I haven’t read every comment on this chain yet, but wondering why it needs two separate logins? Does anyone know?

@nelliethehooker @DSB today the date still shows as Jan 2, but it does seem to update the latest poster (currently bandgirl as I type this) This does appear to be a sticky, even though there are more recent posts in other threads, this one is always showing at the top for me.
Edited to say it's now got me as the latest poster, but still with the Jan 2 date (1.22pm).

@nelliethehooker and @InaD.... there all showing 6th January for me, so I reckon it's likely to be compatibility with the device you're using, or perhaps the internet connection....??

@DSB I have just checked the date on my iPhone and it is showing your above post as being Jan 2 2025, and that is the same on the kindle with which I am typing this post. Also I am now on a different internet connection to the one i was using when I first notice the discrepency....Plusnet at home now and 3 mobile MiFi previously.

@nelliethehooker I can announce discussions which allows them to stay at the top and happy to do this for any you think would be helpful. Feel free to message me.

@Rowena thanks for your messages. I don't know if you have access to the previous version of CT but there were a couple of stickies in the CL section which included access to lists of non-ehu sites and fully serviced ones which were being regularly kept up to date by Johnny at Newton Grange. There were also one with recommendations for small sites in the Touring Site section.
The problem with the date remains, for me at least, and I appreciate that there has not yet been time for those at IT to investigate the matter.

@DSB @nelliethehooker still showing as 2 January for me, and that's now using Chrome rather than Firefox, which gave me problems with repeated letters and unable to use the @sign 🙄

@InaD - When you mentioned in your last post about it showing the 2nd.January but being on the 8th. the "2nd" appears on the front page as the last comment. My last comment of yesterday shows it as being made on the "2nd" January so the front discussion page/listing appears to be stuck on that date but not on the last person to comment.
@Rowena - Maybe you could bring it to attention of the IT department.

@Wherenext that was just what I pointed out on the 5th Jan and @DSB, as moderator, had forwarded to@Rowena who promised to raise the issue with the relevant people. It is such an pest as we that are suffering from it have no idea if the latest poster has just posted or if it is from the previous days.
