@nelliethehooker - I do know what you mean about emails... 🤣🤣 I reckon I spend more time on emails than enough.... but it works for me for CT.

@DSB the date/time problem is still there, as your post above is showing as having been submitted at 5:22 pm!!😫
EDIT so is this one!!

Oh dear @nelliethehooker. I'm at a bit of a loss to be honest! The only thing I can do is refer to @Rowena .... 😟😟

Please do that, and while you are at it p!ease mention that there are now no profile photos appearing along with the posts. 🙄 Perhaps by tomorrow if will be back to normal, as I can see your avatar on this discussion.

.…I can see yours too @nelliethehooker ...

@DSB it looks as if the date problem has been sorted out, because it is showing yesterday's date for your last post, as well as the other ones. Thanks and hopefully all will run smoothly from now on.
EDIT I was wrong again as this post is showing as having been submitted on 3rd June…very peculiar!🤔

Fingers crossed @nelliethehooker 👍👍

It is still showing the latest post as being one by @DSB on June 4th although when opening the posts the latest was made on the 5th.

Not the only issue. Just looked at my notification list. Saw a post on "What have you seen" thread from @RedKite showing 8 June with its red dot showing a new post. Clicked on it and it went back 2 pages to Mid April and RKs last post. No new one shown.
This has happened a couple of times now when accessing threads through the notification box with different posters.
So it seems we've changed from one quirky forum to another, but with less Server Error problems, fingers crossed.

The above post by @Wherenext is showing as having been posted on June 3rd, the same as numerous others done that very date, also there is no highlight in the hearings to indicate that a new post has been made in this thread! Can we possibly have some sort of an explanation please @Rowena!?

@Rowena - On 3 occasions today when checking in I have had a message stating "Verifying you are a Human Being". Then a delay lasting a few seconds and once lasting 15 seconds.
I am pleased that I was finally confirmed as a Homo Sapien but why has Vanilla Whoever that run the forum hardware suddenly had this pop up? What happens if it decides I'm a Robot?
Anyone else experiencing it?

Never had that happen @Wherenext .... in fact, I rarely have to sign in at all. It usually remembers me!! However, when I go to the Asda website, it always asks me to veryify and then posts a picture asking me to tick which sections have traffic lights.... (or something similar......). I usually manage to get this wrong!! ☹️

I never sign in, just leaving it as a bookmark. It happened about 5 times yesterday, both on MacBook and Android. It opened up normally just now but when I opened it up on my phone it went to to Verify. Doesn't ask me to tick any boxes though but keeps me waiting whilst it does whatever it does.

This forum seem to me to be dying a slow death.
Regularly there are well over 100 guest lurking out there, if it wasn't for idle chatter, CT would have died weeks ago. It cannot be worth the effort and costs the Club have put into it. perhaps that is why we see no action on problems.

Looking at the first 2 pages, 20 threads, a few of them Administrators fixed ones, the rest of them have 10+ threads which could constitute requests for advice or information given to members which may help them, so well over half. So it serves a good purpose for information.
Certainly there is a lack of new regular posters and quite a few that have stopped altogether for whatever reason. I'm not convinced the New Forum is that much of an improvement over the old one. It's easier to post photos but I really miss the latest activity page and I'm sure from the lack of members on the Fun and Trivia page that some members who tuned in just for that have disappeared as well.
You may well be right @peedee in that problems of CT are minor in the grand scheme of the Club.

@Wherenext I find the "Home" page gives sufficient visibility of the latest activity and it is easy enough to bookmark any thread I wish to keep following.
I see we had downtime for maintenance last night but new posts on this thread are still dated 3rd June. I also note we have a large number of guests, this I have seen before and do not believe to be correct especially at this time (0636L) of the morning.
Compared to Facebook and some other forums about touring and tourers this one is way underused. I can understand why some prefer Facebook but difficult to understand why CT is so underused compared to the likes of other touring forums some of which you even have to pay to use!

@peedee - Like quite a few others the old Latest Activity page included reviews, which was very handy for viewing potential CLs for personal use and marking them as such in the S.D. Those reviews can only now be seen if you happen to look at the individual CLs club web page. It was mainly this aspect that I miss the most.
I agree with your comment about usage.

I just seem to find the new forum a but "grey" ,all threads or posts just seem to blend into one!! With the other now defunct forum,it had separate headings, this new one does remind me of the old Camping and Caravanning forum, which like everything else with that Club has now ended.

One small fairly insignificant anomaly that occasionally Occasionally find in the Notification box is the Avatar of the latest post doesn't match the actual poster. Like today in the What are you up to thread the post from 8.47am this morning made by @milliehull is actually showing as being made by @KjellNN. No big deal but not right.

I wonder why that is? Perhaps @Rowena could have a look at this please?
