what can I say @SteveL ? The only issue I have is the failure to auto capitalise the first letter of a post. 🤷🏻♂️

I seriously need to update my IPad🫣🤭

You do! iOS 15 is the earliest version that a lot of apps will work with, including the NHS App. It won’t be long before it passes into the realms of history😗

We have a Mac Book that won’t update. But it rarely gets used to be honest.

@Tinwheeler (took five attempts this time) very odd, perhaps down to the type of iPad. Mines an iPad 8th Generation.
I would be interested to know if you are able to quote on your iPad without it ending up at the start. For instance I will try a link to the Altnaharra web page here. As you can see the here has been placed at the start. It works correctly on our Mac, so would appear to be a device issue.

mine's an Air 4, Steve.
I don’t do links that way anymore but just do this -

Thank you, that works @TinwheelerLink to Altnaharra website page. It doesn’t flow as well as inserting a link within the text. However will have to suffice until they sort it out.

At least you get a clue about what you’re opening, Steve.👍🏻

Not had problems with @name anywhere within the post, but I do generally use it towards the beginning of a post.. I will use it further down in the post, in a moment... just to test..... so apologies to the individuals I tag. Not used the 'capital' key, especially, and I don't thing I've tried to tag a person more than once in a post.
I don't think it is particularly an iOS problem. I think @InaD uses Samsung/ Android.... like me!
Let me try a double name @Takethedogalong. So @Takethedogalong worked OK. I'll try once more with @Tinwheeler..... so @Tinwheeler worked.....
So there we go! Still no problem her. Let's just try once more with the caps.... this time @SteveL ???
..... I wonder if I can tag myself... @DSB ...
I just can't replicate a problem... 🤥🤥

I use samsug and android, no problem today with @ tags anywhere in what are you up to thread. I'll try here mind paragraph @DSB no list and it didn't turn red.
@DSB not at the beginning now maybe jinxed it by just an @DavidKlyne no that worked.... sorry test a test @DavidKlyne .
I did get random capital mid sentence as well as double letter at the start of one paragraph. I also found I had to hit the space bar firmly as sometimes I clearly didn't?? And had single words come out as one. Most likely me and my typing.....
All very odd.

I have just typed the @ link below and it came up fine but after double spacing after it I lost all typing ability after "brue" and so couldn't backspace to remove it. I then went back to the start and was able to type these two sentences. I am using Silk Browser on my Kindle, and have been able to add this last sentence using the edit facility.
I will try typing an @brue

@T now it has not worked at all, very strange.
@Tinwheeler now it has worked!! @DSB this worked but I got a list of 5 after typing a D but DSB only after typing an S after the D and just a list of two to select from!

Only had one instance where the @DavidKlyne didn't highlight in red. All other times, as illustrated, it seems to work fine. I generally didn't experience problems with the old forum and the new one likewise. I do use a Windows PC. Even in the motorhome I always took a small laptop with me. I do have an Android Tablet and phone but rarely use them to look at this forum.

Not sure if I've understood you correctly, Nellie, but I think the list you mention is normal… e.g.
If I type @D I get:
If I type @DS I get...
...then I just click on my name and it comes up as @DSB
I had to type the first 7 letters before the option of @nelliethehooker came up...

I think you are correct @DSB. It seems to depend on how many other posters share the same first letter or 2 or 3 or more…

...👍👍👍 @Tinwheeler

@DSB @Tinwheeler . Yes this is how it's been working from the start.
However I've also noticed that it does remember the last person and letter it starts with used after the 'at' sign and puts that letter or name first. @Tinwheeler like this:
It starts with T rather than D.

Also no problems today at all. Windows and chrome, one main computer with windows 10 and an old laptop with windows 8.1. Also one Samsung tablet.

I have tried for about 15 minutes to do @ to several people, but every time I type a letter after the @ it dupliduplicates. So for Tinwheeler I get @TT, for DSB I get @ DD etc. With the result that it brings up usernames with those first 2 letters.
Currently away, so not spending a lot of time on here, but will try using Chrome once back home at the weekend, just in case Firefox is the culprit.
Yes DSB, I'm using Samsung/Android.

@rowena🤔can’t get the box up today. iPad, Safari

@Takethedogalong I'm sorry to hear that. Are you still having issues? If so can you email me a screengrab?

@Rowena seems to be ok this morning thanks👍

@Takethedogalong Glad everything seems OK this morning. Fingers crossed it's all fixed now...

LLike wise for me, @Rowena . I occurs frequently when trying to start a sentence, especially the first of a post.

Whilst Rowena might have been "thrilled", I am less so. Having had to re-register yesterday, which included adding my membership number, I now find that logging in here does not do so for the main site and, as a result, I am now unable to log in there as my auto-saved 'gobldegook' password doesn't work for the main site and I am unable to book a site as a member.
