Well we are in a right pickle 😡 Sold our house process of buying a new one , rather than hold the sale up we completed on ours , thought motohome local site no problem ,

Thought wrong , our purchase has been nothing but a big hold up after hold up 😡 So we have been on site for 20 days off for one day then back on for another 20 for about 4mths I must point out not solicitors but builders.

Problems with builders has gone from one excuse to another Materials not turning up / weather / contractors letting them down ect ect  ect , we now have had a letter to say blah ! blah ! blah looking good for 1st May not to bad I suppose since originaly it should have been ready for the end of Jan early Feb ,

we are now on site untill the 28th  march come back on 29th for a further 20 days untill 18th April have already booked 20 days from 19th April ,

Now we have this devastating virus to contend with , we have more or less put our selfs in isolation for three weeks, keeping up with the club bulletins , a neighbour went to office today to book a further week and a notice on window saying they are in lock down 😱  No answers yet as to wether we can stay on untill 28th can we even come back on 29th or are the club going to shut the site 🤔

Please note we are not blaming anybody but it all adds to the stress ,

Shutting schools to me means less of a cauldron of kids to receive and take home infections

Bad stuff Roobz☹️. You will prevail, you are made of sterner stuff👍🏻. Good advice on the CL thing. Or you could do a tour of wilding sites whilst following the sun. The weather is generally dry for the next week plus. Turn it from negative to positive👏🏻👏🏻

Yes, I would find a nice CL RT, that extra week makes a big difference. Less likely to close as well I should have thought. Sorry it’s turned into a catalogue of stress for you, and hope things improve quickly.

Oh Rubytuesday what a pickle for you. The best laid plans of mice and men.

I agree about a CL. If site closes, seems contrary to today's email, but that's another issue!, and you can't get a CL can you stay on friends/family drive? Would a local landowner assist?

As if things weren't stressful enough........

If you care to share area you are in RT, we have used quite a few small private sites, and just might think of somewhere that could suit, assuming HS, EHU ???

Glad to hear from you again, RT, though under very difficult circumstances.

Might be a bit too far from where you are, near Coleford in the Forest of Dean, there is a nice small AO site called Hawthorn Cottage (HS pitches) - might be worth a look if only for a change of scenery. Hope you find something to suit. smile

absolute clap trap, my daughter teaches in a school of 1,700 pupils, they have had zero cases of Coronavirus, yes 16 teachers were self isolating but all have proved negative, (maybe tells you something) they have had more infections from head lice and impetigo,

Now we have a problem of how to keep schools open for children with special needs and those whose parents work in the NHS etc who need child care . The science has proven that cases of coronavirus infection within schools is very low if at all because children seem to be not necessarily immune but suffer much less from the infection, and are not serial carriers.

No wonder you have been targeted commenting on things you clearly have no knowledge about.

Ruby can you find a friend or family member with a driveway, might be easier than trying to find a site if everything shuts down? Sorry to hear your news. cry

In our daughters school half the staff were off work today, without testing available it's exhausting for those who have been trying to keep things going. I don't think there is much science available about this virus except that it is contagious.

My grandchildren’s school shut today, because of pupils with the virus. Two of my grandchildren are coughing.

Unfortunately no , plenty of friends and many have offered  its where we have been going to for our one night off , but as the weeks and coroner virus has developed hubby and I are in the Vulnrable bracket so would rather be out of the way ,than disrupting others who are in the self isolating stage as a precaution.

It’s all very good closing schools ,but are the parents really going to keep their kids indoors for the foreseeable future?

...the club is keeping sites open and the World Health Organisation say that once person to person transmission occurs in a country travel bans serve no purpose.

Plague of Eyam doesn't seem to be on many peoples radar.

I've been quoting Eyam and how selfless they were.

Certainly not the same here now, neighbour had a loaf or bread removed from her shopping trolley by another customer today! She turned back to see the woman taking it, no shame, so neighbour said you're welcome to it I've coughed all over it, still looked totally unabashed 😱

It’s shocking, but not surprising. At the moment, we are seeing the true nature of some folks. One can only hope that we’ll see the better side of folks in the months ahead.

very sorry to hear that and there are always going to be exceptions, maybe we were just lucky, daughter teacher in 1700 pupil size school, zero infections, 3 grandchildren in 1200 pupil size school zero infections, daughter in 600 pupil size school in Spain closed since last Friday 3 pupils self isolating , UK 1 school in Sutton, 1 in Portsmouth so quite diverse locations, so it proves a point that this virus has no boudaries when it come to where or where not infections will occur.
