No idea yet/ I am due to go away with daughter and grandkids on 3rd April for a week, if we decide against it I am content to write off the £800. Will decide nearer the time. However as one of the grandkids is autistic to some extent and as I have a nice 3 bed house booked we may well go away even if we venture out little other than to sparsely populated woodland and beaches.

After that we are due to go away on 16th April for a month in the caravan. At present we will go. Nearer the time who knows.

Spain now cancelled with the van, currently in Lanzarote until Thursday or longer if they stop flights.

Going away in the UK undecided like Tinny we are in an area that has few cases, so probably stay at home and get on with other tasks so once this is over we will be free to tour.

We left Valencia this morning and all Schools- bars- and restaurants are closed, also some beaches and caravan sites are not accepting new clients. If you have booked to go later in the year you may not be able to.  We are in Villa Franca (Navarre) and have found sites in France before we get the ferry on Tuesday.  Everything is slowly closing down.

We are lucky in having the static van down here in Cornwall and, having sold the tourer at the end of last year, we will make more use of that.  We've also got a couple of cottage bookings to tie in with events we want to take part in. I'm assuming those events will still go ahead and we don't intend to cancel the bookings, unless and until we're told not to travel. Certainly won't be staying at home but obviously taking all sensible precautions.

Maps, guides, pens and all " booking " kit sitting there in a pile with possible areas / sites running round in my skull but no decisions made nor sites booked. I can always do the days out thingy if required but as others have said, I'm not going to be a big paddle in the virus pot ! There is plenty to occupy my time so I won't be getting bored, depressed or anything like that, altho' I and my sense of humour might just send one or two of you lot out and away from CT laughing

Away in our caravan at the moment and will continue to tour for a couple more weeks as planned, using CL's. Keeping well away from groups of people but will take the recommended precautions when doing our shopping. Intend doing as normal with plenty of walks. Will review the situation after Easter but hope to continue as near normal as possible.

We have a few days booked on a favourite c. l. site next week and at the present time have decided to go ahead, we will keep to ourselves after all sometimes we don't speak to anyone simply because everyone also keeps to themselves, after all this is how some like it, we don't mind one way or the other. We will take enough provisions and use our own facilities and go walking and use our bikes . This is our intention but then we watch the news......

We've abandoned a break coming up soon. Have been chatting to a hospital medic in our family today and will exercise caution after listening to her general views. Have kept bookings in May, will no doubt lose the deposits. Will probably take the motorhome out to some quiet spots for days out. Look after yourselves and those around you.

We have already had a few nights on cls and will have a few more from tomorrow, then possibly a club site before giving Easter a miss.

Normally we're quite happy to stop and have a chat with anyone, even CT members, but may have to rein the impulse in.smile

We are just home from a lovely week up in Dales. We interacted with more sheep than humans, and restricted our eating out more. I certainly wouldn’t be going anywhere near a city or large town. Shop by online or click and collect to minimise interaction, use your own onboard facilities,  and keep the social interaction to a minimum. Still possible to have a good time if you enjoy being out of doors. We saw lots of outfits on the roads this last week, you just need to pick your locations wisely.

We have two vulnerable individuals in our immediate family unit, so I don’t think we shall get away, but we shall take MH out for day somewhere remote for some fresh air, give the motor a whirl, have a break from daily care for an oldie with dementia. Might even find time to finally refurbish our old caravan! 😁

Only one case in our area, and that was days ago. As a Tinny says, keep away from risky locations.

Unfortunately we are carerer's to my wife's 90 year old parents who depend on us for all their needs, we have decided to postpone ferry meadows by a month to see what the situation is then. Not only are we canceling out touring but also refraining meeting in groups so no visits to the pub for meals trying to limit excursions to a minimum. If we did not have this responsibility we would probably have carried on has normal

Latest news seems to indicate anyone 70 and over must, must self isolate at home for up to 4 month.

Will the cottage owners be deep cleaning after each booking, in case the one prior had the virus but not know?frown

Look on the bright side [Elaine thought of this one, 'cos she's the clever one ...]. If the over 70s have to self isolate for 4 months, it'll save them having to look after the grandkids when the schools shut down ... tongue-out

I don't know but, if I was concerned, I would take my own dettol wipes or similar for hard surfaces and door handles etc

Who ever thought that we would be in the situation that we now find ourselves in. We all take it for granted that we can do whatever we like when we like and it isn't until we get a situation like this we realise just how lucky and well off we really are (or used to be)  We come into the 'self isolation stage', and already have cancelled what was to be our first trip of the season to the Cotswolds, a week today. We have trips planned for April, May and June and are obviously looking at those and preparing to cancel them. What a state, I just can't believe this is happening in our country and I find it quit worrying. The only good thing I can find is that I can catch up the decorating during our 'isolating'.

I see in previous posts that a four month period of isolation has been suggested for the over 70s, is this right? I have not seen that anywhere, only suggesting a week.

Who knows? I doubt it, but we will just have to assume that other users are as conscientious as we will be in taking all reasonable precautions. Of course, all this assumes that we won't end up with the same sort of travel restrictions as elsewhere in Europe. Only time will tell!

We are booked to go up to Kirkfield caravan site in Town Yetholm at the beginning of April and have River Breamish booked for end of April. Both bookings geared towards getting out into The Cheviots  (where it's unusual to see another soul all day), however both trips "go against the grain" for us as we nearly always use cls, where as others have said there isn't much interaction with other people. Despite being a member of the club for 8 years I'm still yet to stay on a club site!

I'm very undecided and suppose we will decide whether to go or not nearer the time.

Hubby works on oil rig and several are already down-manning to essential staff only so he could be off work for a while...
