They no longer have services to suit me, David, but if you feel you get vfm for your £56, then you’ll be happy.

Aren’t their offerings equal for caravanners and MH-ers?

It clearly suits you to remain a member, Steve, but it’s no longer for me.

Its not too difficult to find services elsewhere, perhaps not as good as RP when it comes to travel but the cost savings are great and I have come to the conclusion I just do not need all the bells and whistles RP charge for. RP won't even consider me without a phone call and I know, from past conversations, what the outcome will be, an arm and a leg. Out of interest this year I asked for a quote to insure my motorhome, it was twice the price of my current insurer with whom I renewed. As an added bonus the renewal also included breakdown cover as well.

A full +1 apart from the default provider. As long as the club continues to offer the same high level of quality on its sites then I'll continue to use them. I wonder if actual site provision may start to decline but until that happens I and I suspect others will continue to use them.

We will definitely be using less of this clubs sites next year ,normally we would have already b looked a tour and be looking at the next ,but at our age and medical needs we are not prepared. to be fined just because we may need to adjust or cancel part or all of a tour at short notice

The removal of this clubs USP has now made it a case of book at short notice or use alternative (cheaper ?)sites more ,either ccc or other providers

I'm still a member, I want to visit CLs. Not interested in Club sites at all. I'll wager many members stay with the club for the same reason.

you're right, though...there are many a decent alternative offering. We're using a Commercial for New Year (as we have for the past umpteen years) and it'll be CL/CS/THS for next summer.

It will be after many years using this club as our main pitch provider a new booking experience for us but I have a  land line telephone and mobile phone that are used a telephones ,and both this clubs and the ccc handbooks' both have telephone numbers of both their call centres and many other pitch providers in them

As the owner of a  small 20 pitch site we now have two bookings for next year would not take a deposit and just asked that we give as much notice as possible if we will be unable to get therecool

Ps both bookings in the past have been with this club on the same datessmile

It will be as this year in several places ,the lack of staff to run the sites that should be the only reason for any decline in levels of what members are used to now

We're happy to continue using club sites. We have had the odd poor experience but, on the whole think they're great

I just did it, Husky, without preamble, as I felt it the principled thing to do in view of the way I feel. I believe it would have been hypocritical to continue paying fees to an organisation I was no longer comfortable with.

I mentioned it today, some 6+ weeks after the event, and you can see the reaction.

Very true, YT, we will stay members to use the CL network, regardless of how much more difficult it is to find out the information we want, but doubt very much that we will be using club sites in the future, of which we used 6 different ones this last year.

    Goodness, I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition!😄

My primary reasons for not renewing are as I stated and nothing to do with finance.

It's more helpful if questions about the booking system are raised on here rather than personal questions about members...wink although I expect the club will be pleased to see diversions.

I was thinking the same, Brue. This is now way off topic.

We only use the club for May Day, in the way of services. When we had the caravan we I surfed with them,  it they were more expensive than our current Motorhome insurer.

We will remain members for the CL network.

Renewing Tinster, that’s interesting right there👍🏻. If the atmosphere generally became more enjoyable both attitude& financially, not so mishmash & stressful I’d seriously consider rejoining. I believe CAMC have a winning product with more in their favour than against tbh. The grevious things for me right now is the booking system & its glitches its unreliability the time it takes to get to the end result. The deposit not being one of the probs at all, I am happy with that👍🏻

Following on from a post I made yesterday about a problem I thought had been fixed. Sites that are closed, as currently in the north of Scotland show as Full on the map. However, if you touch on one it shows a little picture of the site and says it’s closed. You wouldn’t think it that much of a leap to have the smaller tab also showing closed.
