As far as my experience goes CC sites are priced to similar non CC mainline sites.

Alright folks, let’s not get carried away.

For my part, I think that club sites have got more expensive over the years. I can’t remember the numbers, but they have outpaced the RPI for quite a few years. That said, I still think they’re not that bad. There are commercial sites out there that charge a lot more, just as there are some that charge less. The choice is ours. I use a mixture of club sites and CL’s, as I need to balance the finances/keep it sensible.

Unless the cl has two separate areas and separate facilities then even "back then"?it would have been against the certificate issued by the cc as no Cl has ever been allowed to have more than five cc members on at one time

But then the profit is all 're invested in New and refurbishment of the run down sites, and upgrading of the sites network, and renewing leases on most of the sites in the  network

we could have a prize draw to raise funds?

1st prize a free night on a club site

    2nd prize two free nights

I thought the Hovis bread advert song would do well in the background?

And a +1 to the rest of your post

I largely agree. We visited Moreton-In-Marsh last Thursday-Monday. We  took our daughter and grandchildren along, who stayed in one of the ‘pods’ there. Without that investment, we would have had to look elsewhere, which would have been a shame, as it turned out to be a wonderful spot.

I kinda ‘get’ where W&M is coming from, but the notion that it’s a ‘club’, is somewhat romantic, I feel. At the end of the day, it’s a business, like any other.

Surely it has to make a profit? How else can it invest?

I’ve seldom come across an organisation that has the structure of the Club. Closest I can think of is a thousand times removed in reality....... a Council, with members (ward residents) electing representatives (Councillors) then Officers employed in specialist roles there to advise and manage the day to day operations. As a business model it is rather unique, not sure if CCC is similar?

It used to be CL, Steve, and in my opinion it was expensive then and still is for what's on offer. Everyone to their own however.

And get even more ,as all of your posts seem to be , complaining about the sites networks under investment?so why undercut other organisations ,and allow what the thousands of cc site users, expect and apart from those that are nearing the top of the upgrade queue, seem to get good reviews from most users, and what other parts of the leisure industry can only look at with envywink

Ps your latest complaint was not at EGG todaycool

And perhaps they are, considering the level of investment?

We've been through all this many times before, DD. Near to any club site you can find commercial sites both dearer and cheaper than club sites which are at about the median, price wise, in the UK. You might not like that fact,  certainly don't  seem to accept it but just a little research will prove the case. And I say that as someone who is not permanently wedded to using club sites.

No, we have had no problem with the water temperature, all the shower valves in the disabled rooms we have used were able to be completely adjusted.

Indeed two sites bought, many ongoing refurbishments.

I'd rather the club spent it's money on this sort of things than cheaper prices.
