    Play nicely now OP -- most 'Respondents' will still be cringing on their back door step. They'll be waiting for the latest " Have you cooled down, yet " test questionnaire to be returned with the correct answers  laughing. Their Missuses  would not let them in 'til the crockery was safely put away wink

    How's THAT for self control, Joking with Oneputt about football, when the Alex got beaten at home and a geriatric midfielder sent off to boot.

    { Have to take it in my stride today, 'cos I'm supposed to be doing basic housework before readying the goodies for a trip across to Cherry Hinton for an 'East Coast steam rally' next week-end. That'll be the end of steam for this year unless somebody on 'ere winds Brian up  !! }

    Well it certainly upset me!

    Only joking of course, I've seen it all before, too many times. But well played, Norwich, a well deserved victory.

    Watford next home match, anything could happen.....⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

    Getting a tad nervous now, too close to the Automatic Promotion Spots for one of my delicate tendencies. But, none the less, Brian just has to shout out --> Come on the Alex  !!

    Not had much to shout about this season, sadly, but finally an away win at Saaaathfend for Stanley.

    The last time we were this close to 'Alex we were in the same division! 😀

    And now I'm hoping against hope that the Bad Times at Gresty Road can at last be put away.

    Well,  after being suspended from all football activity by the F.A. in 2016 Dario Gradi has at last resigned his seat on the Board and his Post as Director of Football at Crewe Alex. { I have to point out, in fairness, that Gradi has always protested his innocence in the on-going affair ]

    Perhaps, just perhaps, this sad sorry tale will, as far as the Alex is concerned at least, be consigned to history.

    Brian

    Quite a change for the Mighty Men of Crewe Alex.

    Two up before the break then two all before they did what needed to be done !! Carlisle United  2  Crewe Alexandra 4  (rolls so sweetly off the keyboard doesn't it wink  )

    And Top of the Division too !!

    { Not crowing,  just saying  innocent  }

    Hmmm undecided

    Think Crewe have discovered a strange but successful tactic !

    Home or away there's no harm in conceding the first goal and letting the opposition think they have cracked it ! Then midway thro' the second half or even later knock in a decisive brace and send our fans home happy  laughing.

    Still top of the division with a slightly wider margin ( might just start CROWING  if it carries on like this smile )

    Well 'ecky thump, 16 ( SIXTEEN ) days since anybody else posted on 'ere surprised.

    I know I'm likely to bore the shinpads off folks with my rabbiting on about t'Alex an all, but I thought somebody else might pop in if only to tell me to go & check my V A R !!

    I dont think so JR, I seem to recall Accrington V Crewe was one of the last games Stanley played before dropping out of t' League.  I wouldn't like to see THAT scenario played out again frown

    My head’s been full of rugby recently, but, yes, back to the football.

    Just seen the nominees for the Ballon d’Or announced.
    Not too sure about some of them......🤔

    Blithering silly boys, grrrrrrr. Fancy losing 1 -- 0 at home to a bunch of Clay 'eads --  Brian will not be good company  for some time !!  even the wiser of my neighbours have barricaded  themselves in.  Hope no weekend warriors  of the 'Delayed Scary Halloween' variety come calling ==   might be more scary than they could tolerate  !!

    NOW, you understand why I'd never go to Accrington Stanley, JR laughing!!

    Broke Two Referees / Assistants and cost a fortune in phone calls to FA and Professional Match Officials HQ to decide which end had nobody running the line after a 50 minute half time.

    Then, of course, the cruel, hard, Crewites  went home to watch, with great interest, the 2nd round draw.

    Another hard, badly paid day at work for 'Stanley'  frown

    I think Stanley would be within their rights to get the game replayed Brian. Fourth official comes on, obviously can't referee the game properly and with only ONE liner, who was in Crewe's half??!!!! Then he sends one of ours off for a perfectly ill-timed tackle!!! 😀Crazy stuff at the Wham stadium

    NO chance of a replay on those terms Sunshine  cool.

    FA gave their ruling because " It's Their Tournament " and the one 'assistant'  was on Crewe's defensive half because they had agreed to toss up and the winner got the official.

    Almost makes V A R seem logical & well organised don't it  !!
