I  understand  your  viewpoint, Pliers  BUT  how  many  of  the  Liverpool  and  Tottenham  teams  are  actually  from  these  Sceptred  Isles  ??

I agree Brian. Great to see Liverpool and Spurs in the final, 2 English clubs certainly, but far from 2 English teams as Mrs M has got fed up of me saying to the TV pundits each  morning! surprised

    4 or 5? If that!

But, personally, I don't think it matters where the players are from.

And I doubt if either team consisted of just British players, they wouldn't be in the Champions' League, let alone the final!

And congrats to Arsenal and Chelsea for making it to the Europa final.

Don't envy them the trip to Baku, though. Must be an interesting place to visit but a bit of a traipse for a football match!

Just wondering if Arsenal and Chelsea fans will be taking different planes to Baku or do the Gooners sit on the left and the Shed sit on the right? Wouldn't like to be on the work rota for the airline flying this lot out there.

As much as it grieves me being a Utd supporter , congratulations to City on winning the league. Really really didn't want Liverpool pinching it.⚽⚽.

I see another Manchester side has become a League team......Salford City beat AFC Fylde yesterday in the National League playoffs. Wonder how long it will take them to get into the Premier League, with their rich backers?

Good Heavens, Nellie, Salford is Salford, not Manchester! If you ever go there, don't even think about calling them Mancunians 😱

But congrats to them, of course, a great achievement.

    Thanks, Jonray and Trellis.

Still recovering from yesterday's match! Never thought for one minute that City would win the Leauge again this season.

Really feel for Liverpool fans, they have played really exciting football all season, lost only 1 game but have still missed out.

What a season! And we still have the Cup Final next weekend.

And the Champions' Leauge, Europa Cup and the play offs too.

Keep the faith, footy fans, everywhere!

Well done City. A great effort to catch the dippers and just keep ahead of them. There was a minute or two when the title was going to Anfield but a 4-1 win was an emphatic way to win the title.

Now for the domestic treble on Saturday, just need to put Watford in their place.

Nice to see Town sign off with a couple of points.

Oh this is going to hurt but .... Congratulations to City on that demolition job . Heaven only knows what the score would have been had De Bruyne played the full game .⚽⚽.

Well done again City. Is that a record score for an FA Cup final, it certainly is in my memory.

Change of sport tomorrow we're off to Headingley to watch England play Pakistan in the fifth ODI

    Hi All,

LUFC will win the Championship this season, we will be a minimum of 10 points ahead of second place, elsewhere in Yorkshire Barnsley, Huddersfield and SWFC will all be bottom half.

Good luck to Leeds for next season. And it's a shame there are so few Yorkshire clubs in the top tier, surely there should be more than 1?

It's that time of the year again - the mixture of excitement and nervousness which comes with the start of a new football season. Rovers have a much changed line up from this time last year and a different manager - I'm very hopeful although there are some very big clubs like Sunderland and Portsmouth still to contend with. But I have a big grumble about the fixture planners though - for the 4th year in a row, Rovers start the season away from home. How can that possibly be fair? (Yes, the excuses start here! laughing)

Felt a bit like that myself when I saw the Crewe -- Plymouth score on Saturday, Moulesy but having got home this afternoon all of the Alex fans I've met so far reckon it was a travesty == could have been 5 all ! surprised and none of them were unhappy about the performance.

P.S.  Lovely to see Rubytuesday putting in an appearance again  smile

Grandson and I went to watch the Terriers v Derby last night. We gifted them their first goal with some pathetic defending, were two down within two minutes and glory be the ref actually gave us a penalty which was put away nicely.

Derby parked the bus in the second half and the score remained 2-1. Plus ca change, plus c'est the meme chose,

Well, a fair start to the season for Crewe :-  goal down in the first few minutes away to Owdam ( innocent ) then shewing them how football should be played.  100 % success rate away from home so far wink

After noting Man City demolish West Ham (I didn't watch it) would it be a fair comment to say the Premiership is already won and the others are just jockeying for the minor places? I predict City will go through the season unbeaten and I'm so sure, I'm off to the local bookies tomorrow - which is something I never do - to put my money where my mouth is!

    Sad times at Bury.

    Come on Stanley!

JR, pse remember the Phrase They are using these days :--

When the Fun Stops  --  STOP !!

That applies to all of us who get carried away supporting footy teams that, really, ain't worth the effort !

I distinctly remember queuing by locked gates at Gresty Road begging to be let out !!wink
