Goldie, hope you enjoy seeing Seth Lakeman, our daughter was doing some promotional work for a local venue this week when he was on stage, she likes his music and said the show was very good.
Oneputt hope the problems with your latest op get sorted asap. I have a friend who has been through the same, so best wishes from me.
Husky, I remember doing VAT, whichever way it gets done it is one of the "don't like doing this" bits of running a business. Good luck! 🤞

I’m assured that the Farm Business software that I use is compliant, and that it will updated at the end of the month.
Last week I watched a Webinar about MTD for farmers. It was the most amateurish thing I’ve seen. I stuck it out for the full hour. Five minutes would have been too much.

Good Afternoon, Y'all
.
Back on 'ere for f f five minutes trying to warm up 'cos Brian's bloomin' freezing !
Went into the Village this morning to pick up the new bifocals complete with the photochromic treatment
but not had any chance to rate 'em yet. Crewe's cold and wet under a flat grey sky. In fact I'm sitting here in my nice warm CT Fleece until the room's up to a tolerable temperature
then I'll probably fall asleep
.
Hoping you all are well insulated against this early Autumnal chill, and the 'In-patients' are continuing their improvements to everybodys satisfaction.

Spent some time on the Dorset coast today, the sea was choppy, a lone fisherman on the beach. Decided to look in at a garden centre on the way home and spent too much! (Nice to see things starting to grow, quite a bit of blossom around and flowering shrubs getting going, though still a bit chilly.) Perusing a rose catalogue now, planning a few changes outside this year.

Plan C came into effect today. The 3 of us went for a meal to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary, due tomorrow, as the day itself will be spent taking MiL to hospital at lunch time for a brain scan. I'm barred from making any jokes.
Actually we don't mind at all. Life sometimes gets in the way and in the grand scheme of things the 40th.year was just as good as the other 39 and we celebrate every day anyway.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Wherenext. A great sentiment for every day.
Hope all goes well tomorrow for MIL.
We are alledgely off to the stroke ward today 👍. Friends popped in for an hour himself quite alert and chatty, by recent standards. Still on slightly restricted diet following visit by SALT, speech and language therapist. All food/liquid supposed to be recorded to check how much is going in. No prizes for record keeping answer. Advised to start my own list! Still onwards and upwards. Stroke ward will offer stimulation physical, mental and cognitive YAY. We've played cards dominoes and picture lotto i was very impressed. Resting well but recovering quicker. Has comprehension now about his situation.
Raining here again so I expect a damp walk from the bus.
Brue spring is a great time of the year I love all the new life. Hope you didn't go too mad in the garden centre and there is room for everything in the garden 😂😂

Weather has gone down hill this afternoon
And for steam buffs the Southern Railway Schools class Repton is on hire from NYMR on the Nene Valley Railway this W/end, managed to get some nice pictures while it was on driver trainng.

I know just what you mean HD, I have been trying to do the same over the last few weeks

Bakers2 really pleased your OH is making progress.
Congratulations to Mr&Mrs Wherenext.
I have had tooth ache this week so dragged myself to the dentist who after a lot of prodding and poking around my teeth could only find a chipped filling which may be causing the pain
. Have to go back next week for X ray and to replace filling. Pain not too bad but very sensitive to hot and cold.
Weather is horrible now after a lovely start to the day, spent a while Woodpecker watching in the park this morning out with the dog. Lots of drumming going on at the moment.
Hope everyone enjoys the weekend, Goldie enjoy your bit of pampering

Quite a productive day. Ordered ACSI book, app & discount card. Fixed up ferry crossings and eventually arranged Red Pennant cover. Tried doing it online but ground to a standstill with the same coding webpage error that I encountered last year. There guy I spoke to on the insurance front seemed somewhat disenchanted with the IT side of things as well, so not everyone at Grimstead Towers is a happy bunny.

Today was "M" day as we swapped our old (six years old) motorhome for our new one today. Surprising how quickly things change in six years. Will no doubt be reading the manuals for the next few days! It took me a while to work out how to change the date and time in the Cab!!! Haven't got to the heating yet! The new motorhome is only three feet shorter than the old one but it seems so much smaller.

All the best for tomorrow, WN, both for the Ruby Wedding and for MIL's scan.
H&T, I had an x-ray of my teeth just before we set off and they phoned me to say that they'ed spotted a cavity that requires a filling so that has to be fixed when we eventually get back home. Hope that you get you chipped tooth sorted soon.

Today seems to have been a GOOD DAY for some folks on here especially Bakers2 and her OH, whom I hope continues on the Improvement Road.
I must throw in my Very Best Wishes for MR & MRS Wherenext for their Ruby Celebrations . Also best of luck for the Wedding JVB, I do hope everybody can enjoy the cakes AND the speeches { some of the jokes I've heard and cracked are truly unfunny
! }
Texted my mate in Fuengerola or some such place, and asked 'em to bring a bit of sun on their return, but they refused point blank, cos they had retreated indoors -- Much Too Hot She says. May never speak to her again !

On the new van we have a solar panel, no idea, yet, how that works! I find sometimes it's better to concentrate on one thing and get to know that well before moving onto the next. Another change for us is that on the old van we could use an Aquaroll to replenish water, don't have that facility on this one. Might have to buy a watering can! We have a conservatory full of stuff from the old van and it's just a case of working out where it will all go in the new van as the storage configuration is so different. We might have to be ruthless! An added advantage with the new van is that it has a 750kgs load margin which hopefully we shouldn't fully utilise.

Yes, best wishes to you both, hope things go well. I dread to think how we would make the change to a totally new outfit, all the technology and gadgetry that’s included. We do have solar panel, and brilliant it is. We have no qualms about being off EHU, but we don’t use TVs etc..... I think you will notice that yard difference when out and about DK, hopefully find it easier to go out and about. We did notice some MH owners are very canny with their choice of pitch on Club Sites. Close to service points, wait for a quiet time, then simply hook hose up and fill up on pitch!
Hope to get your van sorted before your take off overseas AD. Lots of covers to be made etc.....

Thanks Nellie, hope you don't get any problems with the tooth before you get home, mine was incredibly painful although it has calmed down a but now, thank goodness.
Hope you are enjoying Norfolk, or have you moved on already?

David, you can still use the Aquaroll, you just need a different type of pump, one that drops into the container and has a hose attached that will reach to your filling point, then you plug it into a nearby 12v socket for power.
You can buy such a pump, but I adapted one of our old caravan pumps using a length of hose and a longer cable with the 12v plug attached, even put in an on/off push button switch. I use it for filling the toilet header tank as my shoulder joints are not so keen on lifting these days.

Good luck to both David's with your new van and Motorhome. It's exciting getting to grips with everything.
It's really windy here today, been out to do the shopping, came home to find some of the washing I'd pegged out only just hanging on the line.
OH bought a new lap top the old one was so slow , and sometimes wouldn't start up at all. Have been transferring the last of the stuff onto the hard drive from old laptop.
Our neighbours opposite are out working on tneir roof , rather them than me in this wind.
Have a great weekend everyone.

I had a wisdom tooth filled back in January. It was touch and go after as to whether or not it had worked (very close to nerve). Happily, it settled down after a couple of weeks, and touch wood, is now fine.
H&T, have you tried using sensitive toothpaste as an ointment? I find it works surprisingly well. Combined with some sort of painkiller, paracetamol or ipuprofen, I found I could function again if pain was severe.
Good to hear progress is ongoing Bakers, we spent months filling in dietary charts for Dad, but we practically lived on Ward with him. At one point he had his own room, we sort of set up camp in there. Not so easy once out in multi bed Ward. He lost so much weight when in first time, we decided that this was best way, and luckily, nursing staff were happy to see us as they were rushed off their feet. You soon see how much quicker patients who get caring visitors, sufficient fluids, decent food they can eat, pick up. No criticism of staff, there just wasn’t enough hands to go round. I even found the quietest, nicest places to have a nap in hospital to have a break. Our hospital has a range of eateries as well, and some shops. Hope your place is as good. I think the staff appreciate good visitors as well. Ongoing best wishes to you and your family.

When we got the first motorhome I was determined not to use the Aquaroll but secomed eventually but I think this time we will be more determined. Hopefully if we do, as we hope, and get off site with this van it should be easy enough to dump waste on the way out and fill up with fresh water on the way back.

9 days gone 12 still to go, weather been a bit mixed. Typical Lanzarote, windy and sunny but we've had a few cloudy days.
Took the water taxi down the coast to the next marina yesterday, then walked back along the cliff top, boy that blew the cobwebs away
.
Carnival started here yesterday, the main parade is tonight so it will be busy on the sea front.
Glad to hear bakers OH is making good progress.
DK &AD exciting times, have fun sorting out the new vans.
Sorry to hear Helen has toothache, OH has the same problem, dental appointment for new filling already made for our return, lots of sensitive toothpaste being used.
Hope the weather picks up for you all, its sounds miserable and cold there.

We arrived on site here in Southport this afternoon after a four and a half hour drive fron home. When we got over the border it was very windy so had to take it easy also we stopped at one of the service stations and had lunch from McDs not usual for us but it was quick. Once pitched up we went a drive along the shore front. Not sure what we are doing tomorrow but im hoping to get out a cycle if the weather is ok. Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend.
