I don't get to do much driving these days as OH automatically jumps in the drivers seat.

TG  I now what you mean. I'm not that bothered but sometimes can't recall the last time I drove unless a pop out on my own. My OH not a good passenger (not just with me!) either 😉. I do take myself in hand when I remember as it's not a skill I want to loose 😲. Not driven the motorhome for years must take myself in hand with that too. It is only practice but doesn't take much to affect your confidence.

At the risk of upsetting some 😉 awoken to blue sky and no wind today. Washing in the machine and once OH gets a shift on 😲 we're off to storage to prepare our motorhome for its MOT on Friday. Won't be taking it for a run, other than around the storage site as we SORN'D it before NZ trip and will wait until May to renew RFL. Migh be a good opportunity for me to pracice 😃.

    Enjoy your day folks

I'm upset, Bakers, I'm upset.😖 Woke to bit of rain but now dry. Waiting for roofers to turn up to finish job.

Mrs WN wasn't driving much, doesn't like towcar, so we decided to get a small runaround to keep her hand in. She's enjoying it now. She'll be taking herself off this morning to hairdresser. Saves me having to go out.

Sorry Wherenext 😆, glad it's dry with you now. Don't know how long ours will last - no good believing the forecast. So acting on the  wise old saying 'make hay while the sun shines' well a modern version 😉. Hope your dry weather lasts for the roofers.

Glad Mrs Wherenext getting back in the swing of driving. Has her lack of tooth settled down now? We live in town and barely use our car so another isn't the answer here - I do take myself to out of town appointments etc but I need to be more in tune before we go out together, sharper elbows 😂😂 I usually comment about driving as we pull off the drive, he says you want to swap? I say let's just go. Habit I suppose 😉

I don't like driving our tow car but am told I must drive it but then OH automatically gets in the driving seat and I am quite happy with that - I think I am just lazy!  I have a little Clio which I have had for years which I drive round town and to see friends in nearby towns and villages. I don't do any long distance driving these days which again is just laziness. Many years ago I used to drive all over the country.  Daughter at Uni in Cardiff and son at Uni is London.  How on earth did I manage to drive through the centre of London (there was no congestion charge then)surprised I used to enjoy it.

Lovely weather here today. Blue sky with just a few fluffy clouds, sunshine, no wind. 22 degrees cool.  We are off to have lunch with some motorhome friends that we met on a French camp site many years ago. I can't remember what I wear in warm weather.laughing

Has her lack of tooth settled down now?

Just about Bakers. It's not so much the tooth and jaw but the anaesthetic that seems to take a while to out of her system.

Anyway I've got my "Your hair looks great" speech prepared.

Roofers doing a fine dance on the roof. Think they must be using clogs. I'm off outside to give the caravan a once over and polish.

Have a good time AD, you usually do from reading your posts. How long are you away for this time?

Hope roof repairs go well Wherenext.

Happy Birthday, Helen - keep those celebrations going! smile

Gorgeous weather here today - downside is that the grass needs cutting (again!) - upside is that the van's on the drive and I'm off to Cirencester tomorrow, just me and Lady till the weekend, then a few days back before a fortnight away. Happy Days! smile

Well no surprise the weather here is still miserable, grey skies and that really fine misty rain horrible.

Started getting things together to go back into the MH, must run a copy off of my check list or else we will forget something. Was/still hoping we can get a few days away before the big off overseas, once OH has the all clear. Just need some of that lovely weather to come north, saw on the forecast that its 28c in Bordeaux.

Been out to try the new gas BBQ point we had fitted yesterday to the MH, really nice job and so easy to use, everything working fine. I'm sure we will be inclined to use it even more now we don't have to keep lifting in and out the gas bottle.

Still no grass cutting going on here, way to wet to even walk on the grass, still managing to get the front parts of the borders weeded, the back bits will have to wait, garden to wet to walk  on. Would like to start washing the MH but if we do we'll get the blame for it raining, so it will have to wait like everything else.

Need to get a move on as I've got things out all over the house and I need to sort out some financial bits and pieces.

The outside BBQ points are great TG. We wouldn't be without one now. When we ordered our new caravan back in October we added one on as an extra as we had one on our motorhome and couldn't do without it now. Its great getting the Cadac out and no need to lift gas bottles out to set up etc.

Happy birthday Helen 🎉 I hope you're celebrating tonight as well?

Tammygirl- sorry for my next sentence.

Its boiling here! ☀️ The sun is shining, the garden is alive and growing by the minute. Two loads of washing done and hung out to dry. All the windows are open and the ceiling fan in the conservatory is working at full power. There's only one problem.......my caravan is at the dealership. 😟

Happy birthday Helen.  I'm glad Oneputt has made the cake, I've not had time!

Checked motorhome out for MOT all appears well Friday will tell. Started a spring clean of the inside, not finished as ran out of supplies 😲.  That's the trouble with having to store away from home. Anyway bulk of habitation area done.

Got home to find answerphone message from new storage, visiting tomorrow available 1 June, we are due to pay again 6 June so hopefully we can secure tomorrow. The new site has electric, I can vac the van and water. Current site has water and electric but various goings on now washing area taken over by crashed vehicles 😲.

Still beautiful here, 27c. Sitting in the garden listening to the birdsong, traffic too 😢 and watching the bees and butterflies.

Those that are away - enjoy, those that are preparing to go away I'm not jealous honest!

Oh do be quiet about the weather all of you, do you not have any feelings for those north of the border who are still in the grip of winter frown wink

To be fair we did see the sun at 16.30 for about 30 mins and it was very nice and warm, fat lot of use it was at that time of day but I'm hoping its just trying it out and will soon give us its full attention.undecided

We got a few jobs done this afternoon but not as many as hoped, satellite system been put through its paces after no being used since last October just need to fill MH with water and make sure everything ok there as we've had it drained down since end January/Feb. Waste tank will get a good clean out as well.

OH out for a meeting tonight so an early dinner for us so must get of here and get on with it.

Oh forgot Happy Birthday Helen, hope you have had a nice day.
