It's the beach near Burton Bradstock. NT car park and dogs allowed over a long season, dogs welcome in cafe too.
They own another cafe in West Bay and a beach restaurant at West Bexington (that one is bookings only.) Nice all along that coast between Weymouth and Bridport. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Thanks Brue, we're staying the other side of Weymouth this time, so might not get that far along the coast this visit.
Maybe next time, looks lovely.

Some like it hot? Tony Curtis & jack Lemmon IIRC

Can't believe the park owners said there was no need to drain down, we aren't insured if we don't employ a plumber to drain down. Seems pretty reckless advice. It can get pretty cold, even in Cornwall. We have had two leaks since buying our static -various reasons, and its a pain trying to dry out as water spreads along the floor and under the partitions so quickly. Gas man also at fault, surely he realised the frost setting should be left on. Our lovely neighbours also came to our aid when we had our leak. Really sympathise with you Mousley and hope you get it sorted soon. Best wishes.

That's a nice area Brue.
We visited last year while staying at a CL near Seaton.
Lyme Regis is another of my favourites.
Enjoy your stay and I hope your rear is not too sore.

Reasonably quick trip out today, got large supplies of milk from Lidl for the Guide Hall Coffee Morning on Saturday, and loads of change from the bank as I am taking the entry money at the door.
Also sent off a parcel with the platter my friend's daughter asked me to make to give as a wedding present.....hope they like it!
DD is now 2 days past her due date for baby arrival, appointment with midwife today and all is well.......just getting a bit anxious!
Apparently they will not let her go more than 10 days beyond due date, so that will be the 16th at the latest.
All very worrying for we parents!

Sorry to hear of your troubles down there at your caravan, Moulesy. Hope that you soon get it dried out and get recompense from the site owner.
We woke to about an inch of snow this morning, but after it stopped around 9:30 it started to thaw and the roads were clear by 11:00. Easy drive down to Cottingham, and it was strange to see that east of York there was no sign of snow, apart from that left against the walls & hedges from last week up on the Wolds.

Just to clarify my post of "flippin hot" at that time I was sat on our South facing terrace which didn't have the benefit of the breeze as it was coming from behind us, the actual outside temp was 23c so as others have said pretty perfect.
Malcolm as usual you focus on one or two words not the whole post. Just to let you know the Canaries are not sub tropical, the weather in the Canaries is usually in the 20's for much of the year with a lovely breeze.
This is why we come here, also it only takes 4 hrs rather than 2 to 3 days driving that it would take to get to the South of England. We will be doing that in May when we go to France. Choice is a wonderful thing, isn't it
Another lovely day, move didn't take long and by late morning we were sorted and sat by the pool.
Moulesy, sorry to hear your troubles hope you get it sorted soon.

Yes we enjoyed visiting and walking on that part of the Dorset coast.

Yesterday evening, I left for work at 5 p.m. My wife came with me as she wanted to do some shopping at the Shoreham Tesco Extra. It took half an hour to get there.
After dropping her off, I went on to the A27 Shoreham bypass to Lancing. What should normally take 10 minutes took half an hour because of traffic congestion so I was only just on time for the start of my shift.
It was quite busy and I finished about 5 minutes late because of having two deliveries to do just before the end of my shift. Then I collected my wife from Tesco with all her shopping and we were back at our outfit soon after 9.30 p.m.

Tammygirl, what about the old adage of better to travel than arrive?
Half the enjoyment of caravanning is the journey to get to your destination. You can enjoy all the scenery on the way, you can stopover in laybys or services for a break, cup of tea, lunch and enjoy relaxing somewhere different. You can get beautiful scenery in a countryside layby or you can enjoy the buzz of life going on when you stopover at a motorway services. Sitting on a plane for 4 hours, with no view in a cramped seat, with nothing to see except clouds underneath is BORING in comparison! Don't you think? Even the view of the clouds can only be seen if you have a window seat!
Furthermore, if someone else shuts the blind because they want to sleep, you don't even get to see daylight! Horrible! How can you possibly prefer this to a trip down to the south coast here with all its beautiful attractions?

We'll be on our seasonal pitch for Easter, brue! I'll be doing deliveries as usual and hopefully getting plenty of tips from Pizza Hut customers!
I guess Kj will be seeing his new grandchild soon! My grandfatherly role is the splendid isolation of estrangement!

Another glib answer Malc. The 12 hour flight we enjoyed to Hong Kong was fascinating. Up the North Sea over Finland, Russia etc, etc. Sea, forests and lakes, plains, snow covered mountains etc.
You know you don’t have to continually knock other folks choices to try and ‘prove you point’. If it’s discussion your after just change the record

Same for Canada Oneputt, flying over Greenland and the Northern Territories, a fascinating air trip. However my comments to KJ were for him and there was no need for Malcolm to denigrate them, nor other people's holidays or their lives in any way.

"you can enjoy the buzz of life going on when you stopover at a motorway services."
Parking with the HGV's having to queue for the toilets as a coach party has just arrived, paying over the odd's for anything you buy, worrying about if your M/H or caravan will still be where you left it or being restricted to staying with it.....................
Yes I can see the attraction......... NOT

Malcolm, you have always been inoffensive in your replies, but now you're becoming offensive with your trolling of 'Tammygirl', time to leave out the verbal bullying and wish her a good time with her choice of holiday.
Your credibility is beginning to lower itself rapidly with this continual onslaught towards her.

We've stopped overnight at motorway services on several occasions as well as lunchtime and tea break tea stops of less than 2 hours. We don't need to leave our caravan unattended because all the facilities we need are onboard, Milothedog!
I've been on plane journeys and I've been on caravan journeys and I know which I prefer!
The HGVs don't bother me. I find it quite interesting to watch them come and go from my caravan window. At least you get to see life going on around you. On a plane you get to see nothing!
