My Post Comment is perfect and all the 4 missing items from the bottom left are here but I'm using my phone. The "rich" posts were on my MacBook so if this post makes it unscathed I wonder if it's my MacBook that might be awry.

I have written an email to @Rowena.

There has been a slight 'blip' with new great grandson. They found he is jaundiced (not unusual with an early birth) so they are having to stay in hospital a little longer as he is in his cot under a lamp with a blindfold on, which he is not keen on. I got a call from.our daughter, our grand-daughter's Mum who has been on holiday in Italy to ask if I would visit the hospital and give grand-daughter a big hug from her. Of course - so I immediately dropped everything and off I went. The baby is indeed a dear little soul and grand-daughter looked very well (as did her partner). Daughter and family are now on their way back from holiday.

I have just found that if you try to edit a post it disappears but if you then hit the 'save post' button it reappears. You cant edit though!

I do wish someone at Head Office would get this site sorted out. It is getting beyond annoying now 😡

Congratulations and I hope your new Great Grandson is soon out from under the lamp @milliehull It is good that you have already had a chance to see him, and his mother too. Lovely photos from Wimpole, it has been a while since we visited there.

@DEBSC I hope you managed to get a good walk in today at Charlecote and that it wasn't too hot for you.

We had a couple of short showers over night and then a heavier one around lunchtime, just after we returned from town where OH had visited the hairdressers and we did a bit of shopping. After lunch the service engineer returned to fit the replacement regulator, as arranged, and all done and dusted within 30 mins. It brighten up in the afternoon, and got rather warm again, which was unexpected.

Very little sun here today, and a fair bit of rain in the afternoon. I have made a start on the upstairs toilet floor. Due to various “distractions” it is less than half finished, but I should be able to do some more tomorrow before we go to look after the boys. Will need some shopping too as we are almost out of milk. Really missing having Lidl and Farmfoods nearby, especially for things like milk.

Congratulations @milliehull - you must be very proud.

@Wherenext - I wouldn't be too quick to blame your MacBook - I'm having similar problems with this one as well although the @ thingy seems to be OK at the moment.

Went to Thornton le Dale, yesterday, for a coffee and wander - and the place was absolutely heaving (I think I said the same last year!). 'Bangers and Cash' has a lot to answer for, although it must have brought a lot of business to the village. Trouble is - that although it's a pretty little village, there isn't really enough there to support those sorts of numbers. Called in to see the owner of another CS we use regularly - on a farm at High Marishes, just outside T Le D. Good to have a catch-up and we promised we will be staying with them later in the year.

It's 'packing-up' day today, since we leave here on Thursday. Haven't got too much to do since we only put the sides up on the canopy, but with thunderstorms forecast for mid-afternoon - need to get it all done before then. Although we had a brief shower before breakfast, yesterday - the rest of the day was another scorching one. Hope it's a bit cooler today!

@richardandros we have been visiting Thornton Le Dale for over 30 years great place we actually knew the Mathewsons before the tv show as we visited regularly. We still go and love the show but have noticed how much busier the place is now and the museum is closed now and the showroom turned in to a gift shop although I must admit we never visit without buying something

It’s Apple Time here know. Yesterday Henry picked a basket full in about 10 minutes. From the tree in the garden. They’re not keepers so we’ll be processing and freezing them at the weekend. I have to keep on top of them as he’ll keep coming in with apples from trees roundabout the farm. They’re very useful for winter puddings- especially Crumble.

Nice walk at Charlecote yesterday, not hot as quite a breeze. It was very busy, lots of children. They have a field full of games and things for kids to do, certainly bringing the families in, lots of grandparents looking after the kiddies. It all looked so very dry and brown, the deer weren’t moving far as it was looking as there was little to eat, I wondered if they were having to top their feed up. Soon to go green I suspect with the forecast of much rain, just as expected if we are on a break! Garden tubs bought, and just one plant, I couldn’t resist a variety of hosta that I don’t have, good job I purchased two tubs. 🤭 I went for another walk when we got back, lots of touring vans and motor homes on the site. I still like to see what make of vans etc are here. The site is easy to get to Stratford etc and has a bar and restaurant. Off later to return a large bag of books to the Oxfam bookshop where I bought most of them, might have to do it in two journeys as not sure that I can carry them all. This forum told me only one new post this morning but I found lots so something not quite right with it, as others have said.

@milliehull your lawn looks just ours! OH is not convinced it will grow back very well either, and he was very proud of his lawn, we’ll see🤞🏻. Desperately hoping we get some promised rain, for us and the North York Moors.

I had to edit one of my posts, and didn’t have a problem. Apart from not getting bell notifications, I’m also getting mixed results when trying to quote, sometimes it will, sometimes it won’t. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Goldie146 - we have a similar harvest from the orchard on Andrew’s farm here at Thornthorpe - plus a load of delicious plums to take home. They don’t have the time to collect them so most are, sadly, left to rot - other than perhaps a few for the horses. The plums are the best we’ve ever seen here😀

Arrived at Freshwater East CAMC site, Pembrokeshire this afternoon, for the last of our summer visits... It seemed a long journey. Weather is generally OK, but with one or two occasional light showers. The weather may well be a bit 'mixed' this week...

That's a nice collection of apples @Goldie146 - looks great.

I'm also getting the disappearing post sydrome when I edit.... ☹️☹️

I too have the same disappearing post when editing, most frustrating!

@Goldie146 when OH came out after having her hair cut the other day she was carrying a bag of apples from her hairdresser. It seems there are a glut of apples this year, but they won't be any cheaper in the supermarkets!😫

Pleased to read that you got down to Pembrokeshire OK, @DSB and I hope that the rain showers don't spoil your stay there.

Hope all goes well with your brother's surgery tomorrow, @Oneputt and you enjoy your trip away, and that your granddaughter has a successful time at the tournament.

We have had some rain through the night and again this morning. Took the car to get a pair of new front tyres prior to it's service and MOT next week.
