Thank you, Brue, for the deee-lightful photographs, a welcome change from all this continuing chatter about "JOBS", and on a Bank Holiday Monday too
.Nellie, what's this chit chat about "Etiquette on Club Sites" then ?? Should anybody upset me, then I'm inclined to give their tyres a blooming good kicking -- are you saying this is wrong ?? ( Double

Yesterday was a lovely day weather wise but oh boy were we tired by the end of it.
All 4 vehicles washed and hoovered out. Caravan, MH and 2 car's. Then some light gardening for me while OH did a few jobs (mods) to the MH. Then it was check the 2 vehicles that are due MOTs this week. Just as we thought we had finished my BIL phoned to ask if OH could give him a hand collecting a picnic table and benches

By the time he got back it was 19.00, so a late dinner for us.
Today it took awhile for the haze to clear so I tackled the 3 baskets of ironing while OH did a garden waste trip to the skip.
Fresh clothes now back in the caravan, along with bedding and towels. Just need to restock some food items and the caravan will be ready to go away again.
The local kids have all been back at school today as its not a Scottish holiday. They will be home very soon and no doubt playing out in the gardens. Time to get the bikes out and go for a nice ride

Beware, they’re still out there, this is scam lite mind. Very poor attempt🤷🏻♂️🙄

We are just back after a great 4 night stay at Low Moor Head Farm CL near Carlisle great site a bit more expensive than most CLs but worth the money in our opinion the owners are great and really look after t he place well you even get fresh eggs from the farm delivered to you every morning. Managed a visit to Keswick, Aircraft museum and a Roman fort as well as a bit of cycling and a lot of relaxing. Weather was great apart from Friday which was a bit rainy. Took longer than usual getting home today as traffic was quite bad around Glasgow then we had an incident about 20 miles from home SWMBO said she could hear a banging noise coming from the back of the car sure enough every time we hit a dip in the road there was a loud bang so pulled in ASAP and discovers the jockey wheel on the van had come loose it wasn’t actually on the ground but had dropped so was obviously clattering the road every time we hit a dip or a pot hole in 31 years caravanning that has never happened to us not sure how it came loose it was tightened up fully before we left the site anyway luckily no damage done. Still warm here at home so BBQ tonight I think. Home until Friday then away for weekend just to one of our local sites TG the schools down here are off today and were off on Friday so our area must get the bank holiday
Hope everyone else has enjoyed the bank holiday

The warmest day so far? Car said 22C. A trip out to Housesteads Roman fort. It was windy up there but still warm, lovely family day with with a picnic, and ice creams from the shop. Can't really ask for more!

As it so happens, we have just come from a small commercial site where 3 families in tents started their BBQ at 10:00pm and were using the headlights from their cars for illumination. Although we didn't hear them other seasonal van overs close to where the tents were pitched did!! The following morning the tenters were told in no uncertain terms to leave the site immediately by the site owner.

ABM, I see that the term has been used by another in a different post, so I think it appropriate. Perhaps I could have said that some have little or no consideration for others and that may have resulted in confrontations which the "wardens" could do without and that they were no longer willing to endure.

We have had a fabulous day meeting up with Mrs M's sister and OH (who both had 70th birthdays last year that we were unable to celebrate), their daughter (taking well earned time off from a very stressful job as a hospital doctor) and grandchildren. First time we've all got together since before the first lockdown.
Of course, for the children, there could only be one main attraction, even with the alternative of chocolate cake!

Lovely photos from various posts. Obviously, M, the elderly people weren't interesting enough for the youngsters!

We left our CL and travelled via Congleton, Leek and Ashbourne to our new site which sits alongside the High Peak Trail in the Peak District.
We've had a very fortunate day. The road through Congleton was in a very poor condition (missed the "r" off poor first time around and thought about leaving it as it's a better description
) and we've had a few problems with drawers in the caravan coming loose. We've secured them as best we could but pulled into the first available lay-by, which was 12 miles down the road. Couldn't find the caravan keys anywhere. Looked down for some reason at the hitch between car and caravan and there were the keys resting on the handle of the jockey wheel. They must have fallen out of my pocket when hitching up 12 miles beforehand. And there we were worrying about internal drawers coming open (they didn't) and the keys had travelled over atrocious terrain stuck like that. I've taken a photo of where they were but after we arrived on site.Other photo is of the CL. We're in the corner with a cracking view. CL is lovely, well kept and well used. We've been trying for ages to get on. Had a cycle late afternoon down past Parsley Hey to the Royal Oak pub and indulged with a GF Sticky Toffee Pudding and Ice cream and a glass of cider. Mrs WN had to go with Bakewell Pudding and Custard though seeing as we're in Bakewell land.
Now enjoying the late evening sunshine. Will cycle from site tomorrow. Either High Peak or Tissington. Depends on OH choice.

Looks like everyone has had a good weekend enjoying the lovely weather both those away and at home. Great photos brue. In fact I am loving all the photos. Keep them coming. Looks like you had a wonderful day moulesy and it looks like Ralph and Lady had a lot of fuss and attention. Lovely photos of Housteads corners. It is some years since we have been there. We must rectify that. Such a great place. Gosh that was lucky WN!
We have had a great weekend as well. We had such a lovely afternoon in our daughter's garden celebrating our SIL's birthday. Our daughter produced a sit and ride car that we had bought our grand-daughter for her 2nd birthday (she is now 26 ) and great grandson loved it. I am amazed our daughter had kept it all these years! Today we have spent in our own garden giving it a really good tidy up and cutting the grass this morning. This afternoon we just sat and enjoyed it and the glorious weather.
I hope you enjoy your trip this week tda.

Crikey WN you were lucky, I'd hate to think of how much you'd be enjoying the site if the keys had vanished....

Moulesy, it's great to have a family gathering isn't it and finally some good weather too.
This bit from me shows what happened to a campervan on Dartmoor today, thank goodness the family got out of the van quickly and also that they hadn't gone further onto the moor like some off roaders attempt to do. Very sad to see such a big moorland fire again.

Very warm here all day, over 25degrees in the house and caravan. Ideal for testing the caravan air con, which was working fine, but in the house we had to make do with fans......2 blowing the hot air from the south facing rooms to the north facing ones, one sending the warm air downstairs, and one keeping us cool in the lounge between forays out to the van.
Just the insides of the windows still to clean, meantime have sorted out all the usual van contents......do we really need all that stuff??......and started transporting it out into the van. Still need to sort bedding, towels, bathroom stuff, clothes and food.
I also still have to deal with my "tools and spares" boxes, which travel in the car. We also have a "car pile"....awning, EHU cables, table, chairs, coolbox etc etc. Still a week till we can load that up......car is still full of tools.
Having had 3 days off as DD had her OH at home to help, schools in Glasgow were off Friday/Monday, used to be called Victoria Day when DS was at school, I will be down there tomorrow as she needs a lift into town to pick up some items. OH has the dentist at 16.00, so has decided to stay home, do washing, and stash all the stuff I have taken out to the van.
Very nice visit to DS and family yesterday for lunch, lovely sitting outside, but I spent too much time in the sun so am rather pink now. No sympathy from anyone as self inflicted.
OH got appointment for pre consultation for fixing her failed cataract OP, unfortunately right in the middle of when we are going to be away, so will need to ring up and change that tomorrow.

Goodness it's so slow on here I feel I'm going backwards, Millie's post appeared after I'd been waiting to see if mine appeared....nice photos everyone. Hope the Bank Holiday has gone well, I see Kinlochewe was the warmest spot...that must be a record and a very warm welcome to the Clan Midge!

Sorry first time I’ve been able to add pics for ages so forgot to add the second one

Goodness me Brue, that camper van went up quick didn't it? The guy genuinely seemed upset by the damage it's caused to the countryside as well.
Thought you were just being tight Francis!
Looks a nice CL. One to remember if/when we're next in area. 0 -
Currently taking advantage of the good weather and staying on a CL just outside Chard, Forton House. Not an area we’ve been to before so plenty to explore. Yesterday it was NT Barrington Court and today it was NT Montacute House. Tomorrow we’ll probably do a couple of coastal towns now that the crowds have (hopefully) died down. Back home Wednesday before the ‘off’ again on Saturday 🙂

Great pictures from all, thanks for posting them. Lovely to see the ones with members families. Good that you are able to meet up again.
You were lucky there, WN. Hope you have a spare set in case they fall off next time.

Glad that the M/H owner and family got out ok, but just goes to show how quickly fire can spread and the damage it can do.

NTS, is there an Etiquette for staying in a caravan in a field or on a holiday park?. I always thought Etiquette was something the monied gentry followed in the 1600/1700’s🤷🏻♂️

Awful for that poor chap in the VDub, and just shows how dry Dartmoor is as well. There was another van fire on a Site in Suffolk Inthink as well this morning.
We have had a great day on CL here today, easy drive over, very light traffic, but heavy help anyone who was on A1 around 12.30pm earlier. Standing traffic for miles, both ways, due to two separate accidents.
Nice lunch, dog walk and then a very interesting cycle out down to the local nature reserve, spotted an otter, avocets, egrets and a cuckoo!
Back up (yes, Nellie THAT HILL😱) and a few more miles to another lovely village, then back home for a nice tea. Just watching lovely cattle mooching around in meadow over fence. This was A1 earlier, not good☹️

Quote 're etiquette (small e)
"the customary code of polite behaviour in society or among members of a particular profession or group."
I think that sums up exactly what I was inferring, wouldn't you?

Good to hear that you go there without any problems( or missing keys
) Great spotting on the reserve.0 -
Who's peddling? 😯😱🤪

Apart from the Professional(capital p) which tugging or driving an LV around for leisure activities isn’t. I thought you’d enjoy the emphasis on the E with it being out of context & important to you👍🏻. Thanks for the reply but I’m no further along in my quest for an answer to the ‘get orf my land’ thing when it patently isn’t the renters land. I think it’s a psychology/mental thing🤷🏻♂️

Glad you're enjoying our part of the world, I wonder which part of the coast you'll be heading for, more good weather today.
Francis well done for the photo break through, it's nice to see the CL!
We've had visiting dog over night whilst his "parents" go for a band practice. It's great to see music opening up once more. There's been some popular open air modern jazz at Lyme Regis over the weekend. 🎷🎶
I don't know how people do quick turn arounds for their breaks, we're dragging our feet till the next one. Good luck to all going away again.

Rocky.....are you happy to have complete strangers walking over your pitch close enough to peer in the van windows, going between your car and van, tripping over your guylines or water carriers, especially at this time when we are still supposed to be observing social distancing?
I certainly am not, not even when there is no pandemic!
Grass between pitches I am pretty much OK with, but good manners would be to keep to the middle of it.
Even better, stick to the provided paths.
However, breaking through hedges is just not on.
I must agree with DK that the way some sites are laid out makes it very tempting to cut through between pitches, whether this is acceptable will depend on the spacing. Really proper, sensibly sited, paths would be much better.
