Freddy, I agree that one does have to listen to them a few time to fully appreciate them. Glad that you like them. I do have Spotify, and am at this very moment listening to Silly Wizard Radio......Saints and Angles by Sharron Shannon and The Waterboys.

My saga with Scottish Power goes from bad to worse. I've now had to raise a complaint about how the original complaint has been handled! If it wasn't for the fact that the refund of an overpayment from the original supplier will be handled through S.P. I would have moved companies by now.
WN, I sympathise with you. No experience of SP, but with another supplier. When we moved into this house, it had been empty for about a year, and the energy supplier was Together Energy. First thing I did when we got the key was take meter readings and phoned them through. About a month later we decided to change supplier to Bulb, who we were with before. That's when the problems started. For some reason Together Energy didn't accept our readings when it came to change over. I even took photos of the meters and sent them via email., but that didn't make any difference, tak about beating your head against a brick wall! They vastly over-estimated usage, presumably because the house had been empty for a year. Still can't understand that to this day, as the daughter of the chap who owned it was supposed to have paid all bills up to us moving in.
To cut a long story short, after threatening to go to Ofgem, after 3 months, they finally accepted our readings and we got a goodwill payment "for any inconvenience caused".
I wish you good luck and hope the issue is resolved soon.

I always like to listen at least twice, to get the ‘feel’. I did actually have a first listen to Philosophers Stone, ‘Abbey Tapes : The Exorcism’. First impression is a good one.
If you’ve a mind, have a listen to this, it’s a tune that really floats my boat 👍

Yorkshire is honoured today. One of Scotland’s famous Gritters appears to be moonlighting down near Ripon! These wonderfully named vehicles have gone global with fan bases all over the World now, glued to every throw of the ice (sorry😂). Anyone with children, grandchildren, a bit of harmless lockdown fun tracking Grittney Spears or You Only Grit Twice......🤣

Had my vaccination this morning, in and out in under 10 minutes, told not to drive for 15 minutes, which was fine as I was going over to Tesco for some bits and pieces.
I was given the Astra Zenica one, no card and no second appointment, that will be organised later.

Worst we ever had was on holiday in Cornwall. We were in MG, no roof, following a refuse wagon down those enclosed lanes. 🤢
I always think of that Father Ted incident with the slurry wagon....hilarious😂

Glad you were eventually sorted!

We both have ours tomorrow, me in the morning, Mrs M in the afternoon, just a short stroll to the surgery. No idea which vaccine we'll get, nor when 2nd appointment will be. Just glad to be getting started. 👍

Good to hear you've had your jab Kj. We had ours yesterday we got the Pfizer one, no side effects other than a a bit of a sore arm, nothing toublesome.
Bright sunny day with the occasional snow flurry, very cold again last night - 17c but warmer when we got up than yesterday due to the snow showers.
More painting going on in the bathroom. Should be ready for the final sparkley coat tomorrow.

Should be able to go out for a walk today, its not been advisable over the last couple of days as its been very icy under foot, its either that or too deep snow.
Hope all goes well for your jabs Moulesy.

InaD - Thank you for your reply. It gets worse. The complaint I made about the handling of the account since transfer was mishandled so I made another complaint asking for a senior handler to deal with it. I got no joy as he basically didn't even acknowledge I had been misinformed by 2 different call centre staff so I made another complaint but the second complaint was handled by exactly the same person who handled the first complaint. He proceeded to unilaterally switch my account without asking me to one I'd never heard off and even forgot to inform me of the tariffs applicable. This one will cost more than the one I was promised. I've decided to take matters further and raised a more serious complaint before having to go to Ofgem.
Not good for the Blood Pressure.

We both decided to brave the winds today and dressed like Nanook of the North set forth on a brisk trek. Hardly anyone about, just the 1 dog walker once outside the village.
We didn't tarry but managed to get a good walk in. Told MiL not to venture out as this wind will have a bad effect on her lungs, not the best bit of her. Umm, I'll have to try to think of the good bit....

Back from our walk, very bitter cold wind up here to. Didn't venture across the fields this time as its to deep in snow.
WN, Sorry to hear of your trouble with SP as I said in a previous post we had no end of problems with them at work until I switched it to another supplier.
Had another couple of snow flurries but the sun keeps coming out so its not sticking where the paths are clear,of course it is just buliding up if its landing on the deep snow.
Flood gates are closed around the city of Perth. They are worried that when it starts to thaw, could be next week, that the rivers will be inundated, last time that happened was in 1993 the snow up north melted very fast and over whelmed the 4 dams we have above us.
Not a very nice thing for those in the city and low lying areas. We live well above the water level so don't have those issues but my sister lives near the river and did get flooded out for 6 mths.

Yes fingers crossed for your sister TG. Another beautiful but bitter cold day here today. Only ventured out to get my jab with my Sister. House exercise today, hoovering, polishing, etc... hoping big thaw happens soon, itching to get back into garden.

Had an inflamed achilles tendon since last weekend. Haven't been out of the house for days. Ventured out for a constitutional today which has started it off again.
. I'l have to stick to armchair exercises for a while perhaps.0 -
Ooh, that sounds painful, especially in this cold weather CY.
Decided to pretend I was having a break today. Made some fruit scones, walked the dog (freezing cold SE wind) and then not much else. Will enjoy seeing the Alice Roberts Stonehenge programme tonight, have been up in the "Prescelli" Hills where the "blue" stones come from...wonder why the spelling is different, which is the right one?! Anyway it's an interesting place to visit.
The liitle camp site we recommend to anyone staying in our area "Southfork" near Martock now has a nice cafe so we're going to try one of their take aways tomorrow...I will enjoy a break from cooking!

Mrs F had her jab Wednesday (AZ). In and out in 5mins and all very straightforward. She was a bit under the weather yesterday, but ok now. Had my jab today (Pfizer), again all very straightforward, although there was a 15 minute wait afterwards. We were both issued with cards to indicate we’d had the jab. We were told they’d be in touch when our second dose is due. Onwards and upwards 🙂

Very very chilly here again today ❄🌬 washing frozen on the washing line, first time for years. As some of you may know we usually travel to NZ and leave all you kindly folk this weather, we've not experienced any of this stuff for more than 11 years......... can't say I'm keen!
At least today we managed a walk in the local estate but despite the temperatures recently it was still soft going in places. Walking in the woods was like walking on a frozen ploughed field, such is the churning up of the ground by visitors. We may get another walk or 2 in before it becomes out of bounds, self imposed, for us again.
Good to hear you've had your jab KjellNN - better late than never. Good to hear others are getting theirs too. Wednesday for me.
Cyberyacht that sounds very painful, I wish you a speedy recovery. You sound confident of the cause have you had it looked at? I know podiatrists are still able to work.
Waterbutt connector pipe received today but replacing it will have to wait for a much warmer day to be done - at least their full at the moment.
OH brue I so understand where you're coming from on the cooking front. I'm not keen in the first place and a very fussy eater is trying me more than usual. I hope you enjoy your take away.
Stay safe folks, from the weather as must as the virus at the moment.

Good to hear that nearly everyone has or will soon have their first jabs.
Hope you are able to get your energy supplier problems soon solved, WN.
Glad we've not had your sort of temperatures, TG. Although we have had a chilly breeze for the last few days the sun has been out most of the time. We've had some good walks, down by the shore, up on the frozen ground of the cold playing fields and around the local lanes. Not as many people about at the moment, guess it's too cold for them, but it's ideal for us as we're well used to being out in the cold.....plenty of thermal wear and down jackets.

Now that brings back memories. They were a bit favourite of our daughter's.

Nellie, really you should know better -- early sun has no real warmth !!
My bird baths were frozen solid today although they were both in direct sunlight from about 8:30 this morning. Like a good little fellow, I took the boiled kettle out to unfreeze them and poured enough water in to allow me to get a grip on the icebergs. First one was almost more than I could lift, but it came away ok , allowing me to add some fresh liquid water. Tried that with the second, newer one, lifted and got the shock of my wild-life wallet, ' cos the ice came away easily but, unfortunately, with all but the bottom three inches of the bowl. So now I've got one bird bath and a 2ft 6 inch high, three inch diameter ashtray

Beautiful morning here but still -1c.
Up with the lark, plumber coming at 9am to free stopcock. Removed all the drawers, eventually when I remembered how to doit!, to give him easy access. Got a text at 0830 to say he'd been called to boiler breakdown should be here about 1030. Still waiting don't begrudge the wait -feel for broken boiler folk. So had no excuse not to clean 😱. Sent OH out with dog he's now back shattered and thawing out, wrong time of day for his body clock! Luckily cleaning urge has passed so I'll sew up new baby cardigan.
I fear I'll have to post my knitting, only a couple of new born cardigans can't seem to settle to knit. Not sure we'll be able to see 'local' grandchild 😪😪. Ironic that we met NZ granddaughters at a week old........ Not seen our son and DIL since the end of October .fingers crossed we can at least make a day trip another 7 weeks to go so fingers crossed.
Right ho coffee time over pottering time again
Stay warm and safe folks

Panic stations this morning as the bathroom window wouldn't close properly, unfortunately not the new one. After standing outside in -3 and wind chilled to probably double that I finally sussed that the window has slipped slightly so heaved it up and shut it. Will need to get window people in on Monday.
Spoke to surgery about some confirmation about my health that was outstanding and was offered a vaccine for tomorrow. So good news all round.
Brian - It's tough trying to keep water unfrozen for the little tweeters at the moment. No sooner do you give them fresh water that it freezes over again. Your new ashtray sounds good for some large Cigars.
